Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Hi susieq, when did you start allevere? I just started last Saturday so am on day 5 now it is a little bit tricky getting to grips with it all! I have set reminders on my phone for every 3 hours when due to have sachet, medication I take on a morning when I get up and at tea time, I tend to think about what I have to do that day I.e work or put with little girl and think about what I will be able to get access such as today we have been out all day so I've had x3 cold drinks (as no access to microwave etc but able to get bottle water to mix sachet with) and soup when I got home is their anything in particular bothering you?

Susieq55 · 07/01/2016 20:28

Hi Curtain30, I just started yesterday & there seems so much to remember! I probably need to write everything down & put reminders in my phone till I get used to it all. I work full time so was hoping to be able to prepare a salad with chicken nuggets for lunch tomorrow but notice that it says to consume as soon after prep as possible which means I can't prepare them tonight 😞. Also, I'm not keen on letting colleagues know I am on Alevere as they are very opinionated!!

alphachick007 · 07/01/2016 22:07

Hi, my therapist & doctor said it was OK to prepare the sachets in advance. They only say consume within time because it tastes best when eaten immediately. The pancakes and omlette taste fine if prepared the night before. I make veg curry or veg piri piri that lasts 4 days. The pizza is also ok cold. I only told my sister, I didn't even tell my husband because he's such a sceptic he sees most products as scams. But it's working for me.

Susieq55 · 08/01/2016 07:32

Thanks for the encouragement alphachick 😄. Does everyone manage to have the egg white omelette every morning? I'm not very good at eating anything first thing in the morning

Quack32 · 08/01/2016 08:47

I eat an egg white omelette 4 out of 7 days but at dinner time as I have no time in the morning!

Good luck for tomorrow ladies, hope the WI goes well.

Slimslimslim47 · 08/01/2016 10:12

welcome to all the new faces it is great to see others join our journey. I am now over halfway and i have my doctors review tomorrow and i expect to be about 4 kilos away from stage 2. I managed 3kilos loss over Christmas so very happy but funnily have gone into a bit of a slump with eating now and bored with my meals so need to shake it up a bit - no pun intended :)

BexxG - Happy New Year
Q32 - well done on your first week that is an amazing weight loss
S48 - Good luck for 1st Feb and start upping your water intake now as it will make the first few days easier f you are already hydrated and used the amounts of fluids.
Curtain 30 - Welcome and some ideas for the chicken goujons - i add about 2 tablespoons of five spice or one tablespoon of curry powder and this makes them much more palatable. I mix in a bowl and then make about 5 or 6 nuggets on a baking sheet and stick in the oven. I prefer them hot, if aim am eating cold then next day i have some mustard dressing as i find a bit dry otherwise.

S55 - i only manage the egg white at weekends and i mix it with the pancake mix. I whisk up the egg white till nice a frothy, then shake both the pancake and chocolate mix together and fold into the egg white. I then make three american stye pancakes and i have with lemon and 2 spoons of Canderel stevia over them all. I very much look forward to this and I am not so strict that this is the first meal of the day, i normally always stat with a massive shake of black coffee and vanilla desert - with 400mls of black coffee it is a big latte, to sometimes i will use the caramel desert and have a caramel latte. I work full-time also and i tend to make up a big bowl of steam veg the night before and then mix the soup in work and ping it in the microwave no one comments on a big bowl of hearty soup. I find this easiest. If i am travelling to another site for the day then i have drinks and a salad or a tub with strawberries and raspberries in it. I always carry an emergency bar just in case i can't get a drink made.

to all new comers - the first to weeks are the hardest t remember everything, so reminders in phones and calendars are great, i made a little booklet and ticked everything off as i went along just until i got used to it and i could also discuss with the clinic if i was concerned on something. if you are not getting the support you need from your clinic talk to the doctor and let them know you are paying a lot for this and you should be supported, my clinic is great but they do forget somethings or think you will have been told something even if you haven't, so pick up the phone and call them as you shouldn't struggle on this plan.

Finally who you tell and when will be different for us all - for those who have read my post you will know i told everyone i was going vegan, it stopped lots of questions as i said i was doing it due to high cholesterol. with everyone juicing and detoxing these days the shakes are much less noticeable than they would have been a few years ago and to then be seen eat salads and veg people just seems to think you are on a health kick.

Anyway enough from me - good luck to you all and anyone who has done stage two can you let me know whats is it like and what do you recommend to prepare?

Carrielyn · 08/01/2016 17:10

Hi susieq ignore bit about eating immediately- I prepare 2 cooked meals like omelette night before with salad etc then microwave them at work next day and they're fine. X

Carrielyn · 08/01/2016 17:17

And thanks2 slimslim your posts are a real help to us newbies! My first weigh in is tomorrow...🙀

Curtain30 · 08/01/2016 19:29

Slimslim - thanks for the tip! Ive ordered some different sachets this week so hopefully will find some
Nicer things to have,

Susieq- I haven't eaten the omlette yet just for fancy it the doc at clinic said it was up to me if I eat it if I didn't want to no prob, I haven't told many people I'm on this programme don't want to hear them going on about the money said eat work I've just said I'm doing a protein diet with shakes etc, how did your day at work with it all go?

Carrielyn- good luck for tomm it's also my first weigh in tomm hope I've lost some!! 🙈

BexxG · 09/01/2016 00:11

Good luck to everyone who has their weigh in tomoz. Let us know how you get on.

I've never had one of the egg white omlettes. They are optional and I've always preferred drink first thing in the morning.

I only told 5 people when I first started the programme, I feel its important to have a close network of encouragers. Obviously as time goes on more and more people notice and it becomes more difficult. If people ask me if I've lost weight, I usually just say "yes I have, thank you for noticing" and hope they don't push it further but you'd be surprised the amount of people who want to know every detail so I usually say that I am on a weight liss programme under the doctors, which isnt completely untrue.

Still, you lose 5 stone in 5 months and people want to know your secret lol

I'm on stage 2 now but struggling a bit. Anyone on Stage 2 or further that struggled bringing normal food back in? Ive thought about it alot and have come to the conclusion that I'm worried the weight loss will stop? Also, because I have done it mainly on drinks and like my hot chocolate (the only sachet I've ever "enjoyed") having to choose between a bit of meat or my nice hot chocolate is a no brainer...... I'd rather have my drink! Never thought I'd say that!

I'll have a word at clinic next week.

Chat soon x

Curtain30 · 09/01/2016 15:44

So happy lost 11lb (5kg) first weigh in!! 💃💃😃😃

Quack32 · 09/01/2016 19:24

Oh that's fab curtain, congrats!!! Xx

Curtain30 · 10/01/2016 07:13

Thanks Quack! Just wondering if anyone else had any experience with this..........I took some ducloax (asda brand) and was telling the therapist as I realised after I took them that they were sugar coated and also contained glucose and sucrose and she said it may affect my weight loss as might affect ketosis, and they suggested movicol in furture, so I'm just wondering if anyone else had taken ducloax or similar whilst on this programme? If so did it affect your weight loss?

BexG- well done on being on stage 2 😃 sorry I carnt help but will be interesting to see what others say as hope you are ok though and the clinic were helpful

Cupcake0310 · 10/01/2016 15:06

That's an awesome loss Curtain!!! Well done.

You can't take anything that's sugar coated or contains glucose. Only one you can use is Movical. I've not used it but the clini drummed it into me.

Also if you have a sore head, you can't take any coated pills! The sugar stops your body from being in ketosis and it will take 4 days to get back into ketosis so may delay losses!

Quack32 · 10/01/2016 21:22

I've been experimenting with my sachets. As the chicken goujons one looks a bit textured I decided to use it as a mince substitute. Genius or what !! I've had my most satisfying meal since starting AZ, a veg chilli using the goujons pack and tomato allowance and veg. A bit like soya veg chilli. Yum!!!
Accompanied with courgetti, really fab Smile

Carrielyn · 11/01/2016 15:47

Lost 5lb so quite happy! Could have been more for first week but am on target for my 'stone a month' aim.

Cupcake0310 · 11/01/2016 16:50

5lbs is amazing Carrielyn! I always aim for a monthly target rather than weekly cause it can fluctuate so much! I only lost 0.8kilos this week but know I'll lose a stone in the month!

Well done though, great start

Rowdee · 11/01/2016 22:47

I'm new to this site, I am a returner I lost 3 stone in 2012 but after some operations and post op eating I have regained it. So I am going to start again get back into my size 10/12 clothes. I have had my doctors appointment and got my sachets. I am due to start on Weds so am preparing myself. The support on here seems fabulous

elliepupp · 12/01/2016 16:21

Hi all, first appointment tomorrow to collect sachets and be vacuumed. Would love to join you all in what I hope will be a good journey with a happy ending!

Pipan127 · 13/01/2016 00:39

Hi Folks and Happy New Year! Festive season WAS difficult wasn't it? I managed to lose 0.7 kg over Christmas but 2.3 kegs over New Year so all is not lost. Had lobster for Christmas dinner lol! I am on stage 3 as of today. Scared of carbs though! Weetabix? Omg-how will I cope? Older ladies and boobs question- I am in that category (59). Boobs are not as firm but cup size is the same is my answer. New boyfriend thinks it's fine so who am I to argue? I only have 7 pounds to go before the 4 week maintenance begins but feel I need to get my head round stage 3 properly first of all. I have lost 8stone 2lbs this year! Almost 7 stones with Alevere and the rest on my own. Unbelievable! Feel like I have returned! Two women were heard shrieking the other day because they had recognised my dog and were shocked when they spotted me. I just told them I had dropped carbs and alcohol. Not completely untrue do hey ho! Enjoying all the posts very much. Hi to all newbies. It is so so worth it! Keep at it. Xxx

elliepupp · 13/01/2016 21:37

Hi all,
Have been ironed and vacuumed in the stocking - well, that was an experience! I am reassured by the lovely therapist that this will work so just the general eating bit to sort out now. Starting tomorrow - 4 stone to lose. I'm told this will take 5 months which today seems like forever! Great to have a forum to keep in touch. xx

Melinette · 14/01/2016 09:43

Hello,
just passing by to say Hello. I have started Alevere on the 7th of Jan, London clinic. Did it before many years ago but didn't finish the programme and bizarrely found it weird losing the weight. I have always been big and I guess found it hard to adapt even though I enjoyed it! I lost 19 KG the first time...
Many years on, I have put weight back on but I am also doing loads of training in the gym consistently every week so I am in a much better place physically :-).
First weight in yesterday and I was shocked to see that I have lost in excess of 3KG. I never achieved this ever before even on Alevere!

very exciting and in a good place mentally. The food is the same as it used to be, the ultrasound is fine too (no more noise in your ears) and the LPG not as bad as my first session was years ago.

looking forward to the summer!!!!

:-)

Mel

Hi fellow /aleveres,
I made a discovery today. I experimented with the pizza mix because i fancied a flat bread/wrap.

I mixed pizza mix, garlic and onion granules with my oil allowance. Then I mned up the tomato sauce sachet and microwaved it for 30 secs. I used the 1 cal spray to grease the frying pan. Heat the frying pan then fry the pizza mix on a medium heat flip over and fry on the other side. The pizza tomato sauce makes a great dip for the flat bread. This tastes lovely with curried veg. Enjoy.

Rowdee · 14/01/2016 21:20

Hi Alpha hi k007 Did you add anything else to the pizza mix except oil? Any water? I have tried to make the pizza mix with 40mls of water but just get a sloppy mess. If I add 10mls I get get a tiny dough ball that doesn't even roll out to the size of a small saucer!

alphachick007 · 14/01/2016 22:50

oops yes I added the water suggested for the sachet.
