Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Hi there, well done for making the decision to start the weight loss programme.

Theres quite a few of us on here, all at different stages, which is great as we all spur each other on and encourage each other.

I personally dont weigh at home as it differences between scales, times, clothes, etc. I think you get a much more accurate picture just going and getting weighed at clinic. Plus its ok if you get on scale and lose, but what happens if you get a day that you have stayed or put on. It varies so much day to day, I dont even really take much notice of the weekly loss, I tot it up at the end of the month, seems lots more lol

I dont know what everyone else does?

I had 44 kilos to lose and after 9 weeks have lost 16kg :-) 28 to go!

Slimslimslim47 · 14/10/2015 06:49

BexxG

Thanks for the advice, I know I need to stay strong and feel good at that first weigh in so your words will encouragement. Well done on your 16kilos what an amazing amount and good luck on the rest of your journey.
So off to work - salad made, three shakes and a mint tea in my thermo cup ??. Have a good day everyone.

Wanttogetslimmer · 14/10/2015 09:22

Well done SSS47 - for me the worst part was the first few days. From then on, I have found it quite easy, but I have not minded the food - I think it will be much harder if you don't have the variety of meals. I think my favorites are the oatmeal and smokey bacon omelette, and just about all of the drinks, but strawberry milkshake and caramel also feel more indulgent.

In terms of weighing yourself, BexxG is right, the scales can change for no real reason when your're a woman, but it may keep you going in the first week to see immediate results - it's like having a baby, great to know the sex, but on the day of birth you wished you had waited for the 'surprise'. I think if you find yourself thinking you want to cheat, then get on the scales. Otherwise I have mainly waited for the weekly weigh ins.

I am now on phase 2, and it is much easier (although for certain occasions during phase 1 I used the phase 2 allowance). I have also had 2 occasions recently where I have had more than a few alcoholic drinks - pre-agreed with clinic who told me how to manage that. And, yippie, it hasn't made a difference to the weight loss - I have gone from 117KG to 90Kg, and my 3 month anniversary was 11th October. I now only have 3 KG to get to phase 3 and 8Kg to target - and I promise you the time has gone really quickly.

Best of luck to you, and I look forward to hearing about your journey as you go along. x

Slimslimslim47 · 17/10/2015 13:50

well i got the date of my next appointment wrong and it was today - realised yesterday so got myself all ready and a shopping list to pop into Aldi on the way home and get some different veg and the frozen rhubarb. Therefore first weigh in was after 4 full days on the diet and the morning of the 5th i stood on the scales and woohoo a 2 kilo loss. very pleased as i had got in my mind i would not be weighed till next wednesday so had a bigger number in my mind - i am still booked in for next wednesday and then it does fall every 7 / 8 days and made appointment through to January to give myself that goal.

WTGS - fantastic weight loss for you and i took yours and BexxG's advice and stayed off the scales, did feel much better when i stood on the scales at the clinic. I have now got more variety in the foods added another soup and the sheep cheese and chicken nuggets - will be practicing over the weekend, just had a massive bowl of mushroom soup with loads and loads and loads of additional mushrooms & garlic powder and scooped out of the bowl with little gem lettuce leave to give a bit of crunch - again full before i could get to the bottom of the bowl, never knew i could eat this many vegetables :)

good luck to you for the final 8Kgs

Pipan127 · 21/10/2015 22:43

Hi SSS47
You have definitely done a good thing joining us. It's great to read these posts and the time passes quickly once you're in the swing. This week was week 12 for me and I have lost 25 kg (4st 5lbs) already. Still have 19kg (2st 7 lbs I think) to go. Should be allowed meat, fish or dairy from November and be finished in February. Definitely forget about your scales as it can be disappointing. Enjoy!

BexxG · 22/10/2015 17:20

Hi everyone, how's it going?

Cant even remember when I last posted. Think it was just before weigh in last week. I lost just over 4lbs last week so was dead chuffed, but then this week ..... 2lbs. Gutted. Especially as this has been such a tough week! I have stuck to the diet rigidly despite being at work, parties, a funeral, and cooking meals for people! I was so disappointed.

Never mind, onwards and upwards. Have to keep reminding myself that I am 1 lb off of a 3 stone loss, in 10 weeks so I really shouldnt complain!

You are doing so well Pipan! What's your secret lol

Hows it going SSS47 and Wantstogetslimmer?

xx

Slimslimslim47 · 22/10/2015 21:41

so weigh in yesterday and although this was my second weigh in it has only been 9 days since i stared due to work commitments - so a weigh in on Day 5 and it was 2kilos and then another 1 kilo yesterday - but i have lost 2.5 inches off my waist - how amazing. The scales are great to just keep ticking the numbers down but thanks for the advice it is going to be about clothes and how i feel. I now have a full week till my next weigh in and got lots more variety of foods and using all my limited veg every day. I am on leave next week and hoping to get at least an hour of healthy walking in each day to get the blood pumping but not a massive workout :)

Appetite has really reduced and i do not often feel hungry which is great and going to try the pasta tomorrow for the first time. I have decided to try new things at the weekend when i am not so stressed having got in from work and can concentrate more on what i am doing.
Love the coconut drink but add more water as too think otherwise. Not had a go mixing up things yet such as half coconut and half chocolate dessert - that will be a Sunday lunch creation session i think. Trying not to do Chocolate option every day of either desert made into a massive smoothie or hot chocolate as i want to break my reliance on chocolate everyday but still probably 20 weeks to go so one day at a time.
Pippin you have done amazing and so have you BexxG, i look forward to truly joining the downsizing club with my first stone off very soon.

wolfie100 · 24/10/2015 00:13

Hi all

Well I have now had 2 weeks on stage 3 and haven't lost a pound in those two weeks. Feel absolutely gutted! I am so close to my target having lost40 kilos and only have 4 kilos to go. I really thought I would be just about there after 2 weeks on stage 3.

I will be honest and say reducing to 3 sachets a day is hard. I just haven't felt quite as full as I used to on stage 2. It is lovely to have porridge or cereal for breakfast though and more types of fruit available and I worry that I might have over fruited each day. This week I am going to write everything down and see what they think.

On the positive side however I have now bought 3 size 10 dresses- yes size 10- still can't believe it. I have never been a size 10 in my life as I have always been overweight since a teenager. I am still getting people coming to me and saying they didn't recognise me and one of my neighbours came up to me this week and gave me a big hug and said how proud they were of me.

One things with this diet is you have to find ways to overcome your challenges and difficult moments. Keeping perspective on the positive results so far at the front of your mind is vital.

Am sure I will get on top of stage 3 very soon and will be at target very quickly.

It's so good to read everyone's posts when you are having difficult bits as it really spurs you on. Keep posting everyone.

Andy - if you still look in at this chain it would be very good to hear how life is after finishing.

Have a good weekend everyone.
Xxx

Slimslimslim47 · 24/10/2015 10:51

W100. Stage 3 you are an inspiration and good advice on the goals - I have done three things rather than only focus on the scales.

  1. I laid out on my king size bed my go to comfy clothes I like to wear at the weekend - jeans, t shirt and pants and bra and made sure they were flat and not overlapping and took a photo. I then want to do the same as I move down through the stages to see how much more of the bed and duvet will be showing as the smaller sizes are laid out. I am not sure what size I will get to 12/14 seems realistic at the moment but ohh how lovely would a size 10 be!!! Congratulations to you Smile
  2. A box in the spare room marked up success with a big smiley face and as clothes, shoes, coats get too big in they go and then at the end I will do a massive eBay sale and say goodbye to all those clothes - no keeping stuff in the loft just in case I put on a few pounds.
  3. Once a week I measure my vital statistics but have adding in my arms and legs aswell to understand where the weight is coming off and how my body shape
Is changing.

I did do one more thing which is going to sound really daft - I have a room which I am going to decorate next year so on one wall my daughter drew round me as I stood against the wall and the idea is each month I stand there and she draws round me and I see me getting smaller as we colour in the gap - it also helps as I walk past it every day and think I don't want to be that size anymore and keeps me focused.

I hope some of these ideas help others and please share what keeps you focused and celebrating the journey as we downsize.

Good weekend all X

SarahRose88 · 24/10/2015 12:26

Wow guys! You are all such an inspiration!
Sorry for not posting for a while: for the timebeing I survived a family get-together long weekend without breaking the diet and lost my first stone (took me 5 weeks)! So two more to go in total and 12 lb till stage 2!
Slimslimslim47, such great ideas you've got! Thanks a lot for sharing! I had the same idea about ebay, and can't wait, tbh! Some of my clothes are way too big already, and I've lost one size - i'm size 12 now; and the assisstant in a shop pointed on that very lovely, when I asked for size L (made my day!) ))

BexxG, don't be dishearted, minus 2 lb are way better than plus 2 lb! )) keep calm and carry on, well done you!

Wolfie100, stage 3, well done! I'm sure, you'll get there, your body is just adapting back to higher amount of carbs (kinda can't believe its luck again), so it's gaining back some of its storage ) so i'm sure the next week you'll be back on track! Fingers crossed for you! And I think it's a great idea to keep a meticulous track of what you eat, really helps monitoring carbs and calories intake (I use myfitnesspal). So good luck and please keep us updated!

Pipan, well done on your weight loss! Any plans how to survive the Christmas?.. Hmm

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

BexxG · 25/10/2015 14:41

Thanks for your encouragement everyone.

You are all doing so well.

Wolfie, dont give up hun. You've lost an incredible amount. I have to say I worry about getting back into normal food after this and I'm not even on stage 2 yet lol You are doing so well. Keeping track of food is definitely a good idea, just see how you get on this week. Keep us posted. Dreaming of the day I can have cereal again! lol

Sarah - the one thing my family made me promise when I started this was that I would sit and eat Christmas dinner with them. I spoke to the clinic about this and she said that they dont tell anyone what to do on Christmas Day lol. My plan is to treat myself to a bowl of cereal in the morning, and have a small (probably wont be able to eat much anyway) dinner. But I'm not going to bother with chocolates or alcohol. I've not come this far to throw it all away for indulgence (that'll be for the Christmas after ;-)

My appointments are on a Wednesday and I am thankful that my clinic is open in between Christmas and New Year, so I have the incentive there to stick to it apart from what I am allowing myself.

What about everyone else?

Cupcake0310 · 25/10/2015 15:50

Hi all! What an inspiration you all are! I've been thinking about doing this for a couple of weeks and after reading your chats, I decided to take the plunge.

Yesterday was my first weight in and have lost 3lbs which I'm delighted with. First 4 days were tough but it's easier now. I even went to a Charity Ball last night and took my shaker!

I noticed that everyone seems to have a week where they have a poor weight lost, my therapist says that every 3rd week can be tough!

Got the vanilla dessert this week and have now added more water & coffee - makes a nice Latte!

Great to hear everyone's stories and food suggestions. My expected loss is between 29 and 35 weeks so think I'll be here on quite a bit!!!

Keep going everyone! Smile

Slimslimslim47 · 25/10/2015 20:15

Welcome cupcake0310.

I love making the vanilla into a coffee latte in the mornings - I make an expresso coffee and leave it the fridge overnight so I have ice cold coffee to add first thing.
I love the coconut drink and that is my two snacks when in work so easy - but I always add more water as I find them too thick otherwise.

This weekend I have spent today chopping up two tubs of unlimited veg and one tub of limited. Just to make meal times a bit less hassle and to get a good mix everyday.

Can anyone advise the one cal olive oil spray - how are we to count the use of this? Five sprays can't be equivalent to 5 mils or is it?

Tried pasta for the first time this week and was pleasantly surprised at how nice a filling it was.

Trying to get a good 40 minute walk in every day this week as half term and not at work, so hoping this will help :)

Christmas Day for me is going to be normal diet day for me as I am worried about breaking the diet and not going back on it properly, my focus is being all through and done by my birthday in March and celebrate in style then.

Have a good week everyone.

Cupcake0310 · 25/10/2015 20:37

Thanks Slimslimslim47! It's good to know we are all in this together.

Great idea about the salads etc. I never thought about doing it that way. Quite difficult juggling the sachets with work but I'm sticking to soup and drinks during the day. Makes it easier.

I'm using olive oil rather than one-cal. Therapist says it's better for the bowel!!! Grin

Christmas Day for me is just going to be diet day. If I have a mouthful of carbs, I'll be eating them by the ton! Might try one of the receipes on Xmas day though, if I'm brave! Confused

SarahRose88 · 26/10/2015 10:56

Good morning everyone!

Welcome Cupcake0310! Re weight loss dynamics, yep, it's kind of moving from a very good week to ok to an awful one and back. For me, I noticed that TOM makes a huge difference, it's not only water retention, I'm just not losing at all (gaining some weight actually), while eating same things. So be prepared to have great weeks and not-that-great ones, and don't let this upset you! And good luck, you're doing so well!

Oh, everyone is so good with Christmas... For me, this is a slight problem. I've got quite a lot of social stuff planned (meals & get-together's, a holiday and then the actual Christmas day...). The thing is that I had planned to finish the diet by that time, but because I started it later than I thought, I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to finish it by Christmas... I should be on stage 2 or 3 by that time. I can't possibly follow the diet on that holiday nor cancel the meals (although the main issue will be alcohol, not food). So, I spoke to the doctor about this (she gave me the same answer, BexxG, lol) and now my plan is to be at phase 2 (or 3 if i'm lucky, introducing normal food, and have that planned stuff, coming back to the diet inbetween the events, then see how badly the festive time affected my weight. If necessary, I'd go for phase 1 again (hopefully, a couple of weeks will be enough), and will do a normal stabilisation. Alternatively, I could change my goal weight to slightly higher, but I really don't want to do that, there still gonna be no time to do proper stabilisation before Christmas madness starts... Confused

Wanted to ask about treatmens - do you know if we can do two areas with the ultrasound treatment? I've got my fifth treatment today on the tummy area, and i've got 7 appointments more... The therapist said it's minimum 6 treatments per area required to have a real effect (i can see it actually, or probably it's just 'cause i wanna see it lol). So another one for tummy, and I also want to do thighs and back... I guess they'll require an extra payment, but has anyone had 2 areas done at all? Hmm

Have a great day folks! Speak soon! X

Slimslimslim47 · 27/10/2015 13:58

SR88
I have only had three treatments so far but have had all on my tummy area and noticed the difference. I haven't asked about two areas at once but what I did do was have one on the first day then my next appointment was 5 days later and then the next five days after that. This seemed to work so you could ask if you could pop in for just a ultrasound treatment mid week and maybe that would work better than trying to do two at once but hopefully your clinic will advise.

Smile

Saw an interesting site the other day which is a chart of photos of all different people by their height and weights. It is American and goes from 4ft 10 to 6 ft 9 and 5 stone to 24 stone. It is interesting to see what different people look like although they are the same weight. It is cockeyed.com then in the top corner click menu and weight chart. It helped me visualise the weight I want to be and if that is what I want to look like.

SarahRose88 · 27/10/2015 15:38

Hi SSS47, that's great! The treatment is good, isn't it! I asked the nurse yesterday and she said it's absolutely fine to have two areas treated, just that you need to add another 20 minutes per area (and pay for it an additional price rolling eyes), because 10 minutes per area is not enough. Also she said that it would depend on how your body metabolise the released fat... I had 5 treatments on the tummy area so far; I think I'll have the sixth one (oh, and she said, 4 treatments per area minimum; while another nurse said, 6 - I'm confused...), and will move to back or thighs (can't decide; again, any thoughts/success stories?!) without buying additional 20 minutes, as it's way too expensive and I've got 7 more sessions booked. Anyway, will keep you posted guys )

And thanks so much for the link, will check it - I was thinking about checking celebs' weight/height, literally, today! I think it does help visualising the future look. Thanks again!

And an update from yesterday's weigh-in: minus 2 lb! Still, 22 lbs more to lose...

Have a good evening everyone!

Pipan127 · 29/10/2015 06:42

Hi everybody.
Feel as if I haven't been on here for a while. Great to read all your posts though. I get weighed on Friday again so more news then. Girls if you want a 7 lb slimmer boost then go to Bravissimo and treat yourself to a fitting and one good bra. I can't believe the difference it's made to how my clothes look on. The other very exciting thing that happened the other day is that I bought a pair of cigarette pants size 16 from Primark because they fitted! ?? have never managed to wear anything from there. I was a 24 before so this is seriously great for me while I shrink at £8 a pair! Thanks for the words of encouragement folks.

Cupcake0310 · 31/10/2015 15:59

Great news on the weights in! I've been today and was dreading as my mums been in hospital this week so my timings were shocking! However surprisingly I lost 5.5lbs, total 8.5lbs and its only week 2! I have been warned that week 3 of every 4 is usually minimal lose so I'm preparing myself.

I also bought the battery shaker which is great, really mixes them up. Got the pizza to try this week so hope I like!!!

Keep going everyone Halloween Smile

wolfie100 · 02/11/2015 07:23

Hi all

It sounds like everyone is doing really well - fantastic! It's so inspiring to read the updates.

I am very relieved to report that in week 3 of stage 3 I lost 2.6 kilos. I have done nothing different to the first 2 weeks on stage 3 where I lost nothing! However it's just such a relief to be back on track, only 2.4 kilos to go to reach target.... Very exciting!!!

Will keep you updated....

Have a good week everyone.

Xx

wolfie100 · 02/11/2015 09:16

Whoops - just realised my typo from earlier: I lost 1.6 kilos not 2.6! Still very good though!

SarahRose88 · 02/11/2015 09:35

Hi all, so great to see everyone is doing well!
Wolfie100, I'm so happy for you!!! 2.6 sounds incredible, but oh well, 1.6 - it's still fantastic! What a relief (quite literally, lol). Keep going love!
Week 7 for me and minus 2 lb, 10 lbs more till phase 2 and 21 lbs till my target weight. For some reason it feels now that this will never ends, Monday blues has cought me i think lol.
Have a good week everyone!

BexxG · 02/11/2015 09:58

Great to catch up with everyone! You are all doing amazing! Its always so encouraging to read how everyone is doing. Wolfie, i'm so pleased things have started moving for you again. Its obviously just been your body getting used to introducing the normal food back in. Well done.

I lost 2.5lbs last week, so only slightly better than the week before but keeping focussed on the fact that its still "off".

I was away at a conference on friday and saturday. Timings were difficult to keep to and then evening meals out. But i just dropped my two evening sachets and had grilled chicken salad both nights. Hoping this hasnt done too much damage.

I had 6 treatments on my stomach, and it really did make a difference. However, I started getting these really nasty spots on my tummy and we dont know why. I was wanting to continue with that area too so its really annoying. I've switched to my outer thighs now, have had 4 treatments and just starting to notice a difference now. I have at least another 12+ weeks to go so am thinking inner thighs next and hopefully back to my tummy.

Anyone "how much" extra treatments are?

Keep going everyone! Hey, as each one of us gets to goal we should post our before and after pictures. I think that would be really encouraging!

BexxG · 02/11/2015 10:29

Hi Sarah, i think we all have those moments. I do get very down sometimes. Its not easy doing what we are doing. Sometimes I serve up my familys dinner in tears.

Personally, I have 7stone to lose. Even on the fast route they estimated at least 28 weeks! Some days it seems to be taking forever, and it feels like I am never going to get there, but we have to focus on the future and the benefits of getting to goal (for me "looks" is a bi product of doing this, i am purely focussed on the health benefits and the things I will be able to do, living life to the full).

But also to remember how far we have come, we are all doing so well. Keep going, give yourself something to focus on.

For me, I have five things I want to achieve next year. flying to see my cousin in Berlin without having to worry about fitting in the seat, getting to the top of Grasmoor without dying lol (the cumbrian fell i can see from my bathroom window), buying a really nice outfit for my sons wedding, and going on all the rollercoasters at disney when me and my daughter go next Christmas :-)

Anyone else have any dreams/goals?

Slimslimslim47 · 02/11/2015 18:53

Well done everyone the posts are amazing on the different journeys we are all on but downsizing the main goal!
I had my weigh in on Friday which was day 19 on diet and a 13lb weight loss in total - really amazed by this week is TOM so not expecting great.

Got the pizza mix and loved it felt almost a normal meal with a side salad.
Found the last week difficult as at home and in work I am so busy I have to set alarms to remind me of the times to eat so rarely feel hungry but today I was 4 hours 20 minutes between shake and a bar as in a long meeting, hope it won't affect me to much.

I was down a bit last week and had to remind myself why I was doing it and therefore the weigh in on Friday really gave me a boost but there were times I just wanted to cry.
I have ordered a bike trainer today and by Wednesday night will set it up in the front room and put my push bike on it and get some cycling in each day. I am setting myself the goal that if I want to watch TV then on my bike I go and gentle cycling to burn up those calories from dinner.
Keep the faith everyone and remember the new healthy people we will be for next spring and ready to enjoy the sunshine more activily.

Have a good week x
