Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Got weighed on Friday and had lost 2 more kgs. Am now nearly at a Stage 2! Someone took Neto a restaurant today. Completely unexpectedly so I had tuna Niçoise salad. Hope I haven't made a big mistake!!! What have people been told about 'copingwithalcohol'? Am curious. Haven't had a drink since June 27th??

BexxG · 02/11/2015 23:33

I just stay off alcohol. But I didn't drink that much before I started the diet so it's not a big deal. I do miss the occasional cheeky glass of prosseco though lol

Cupcake0310 · 03/11/2015 20:24

Seems like a good "loss" week for everyone!

I've been told to stay off alcohol whilst on the diet but I don't think I'll be able to drink the quantity I did before as I will hopefully be 7 stone lighter.

Sss47, my timings were horrific last week and I lost 5.5lbs. I tried to follow it as much as I can but sometimes it's not always possible.

I would love a slice of bread & butter but just keep thinking, I'll get that soon!

Keep going, we can do this! Smile

BexxG · 04/11/2015 17:44

YAY! Good week for me too! 4lbs off! Such a relief after being disappointed the last two weeks.

Well done everyone!!

Pipan127 · 07/11/2015 19:49

Yay! Another 4.5 lbs off this week. Stage 2 is looming now for me. How were people's weight losses on Stage 2?

wolfie100 · 07/11/2015 21:26

Pipan - wow that's fantastic. I kept losing on stage 2 and didn't really notice a difference from stage 1. However you get to have meat, fish, eggs and yoghurt- for me they had never tasted so good!

My news is that today I have done it! I am at target and moved onto stage 4 and stabilisation. Am so proud of myself - and so thankful to Alevere as I never dreamed I would look like this or be able to lose 6 and a half stone.

So tomorrow I am down to 2 sachets- scary!!!!! You swap a sachet for either an orange, a grapefruit or two satsumas- hmmm? Know it's going to be a hard week but I have taken then advice and stocked up on veg! Will keep you posted!

alphachick007 · 08/11/2015 00:30

Hi I started the Alevere diet 6 weeks ago. I wish I had known about this site before. I have only told one sister that I am doing it because I don't want people putting me off by telling me it is a waste of money. The weight is comig off but the really good news is I'm toning very quickly.

alphachick007 · 08/11/2015 00:35

Is any one else doing the Alvere diet. I'd love to hear how you are doing. Also how are you finding the food? Do you have any tips to share?

I found making sugar free meringues uses up the egg white allowance and it improves the taste of the desserts. I use the meringues in fruit of the forest dessert and add strawberries from the allowance.

Anna50 · 08/11/2015 02:02

Hi everyone. I have been following this post for a couple of weeks now. Since finding it by chance. I have read all 15 pages and avidly follow everyone's stories. Well done to you all. I am inspired to try Alevere - and after having the consultations and blood tests, actually start the plan this week. !! Exciting and scary, can I have the 'balls' to stick with it, after years of other plans- the usual yo yo weight record, I really to to do something drastic. I have told a few people, all supportive, one thought I should wait till after Christmas- but I could easily put another stone on by then. So Wolfie, Bexx,Pipan and others, thank you for sharing and here I go! Those who have stopped posting, please come back and let us all know if you have sopped the plan or just not posting. Sorry for long intro, if I don't bottle it I'll be back for some hand holding. Good luck all and thanks for your stories. X

Cupcake0310 · 08/11/2015 12:00

Welcome anna50 & alphachick007! I joined the group recently and it really does help with the diet!!
I lost another 4lbs this week, so 12.5lbs in 3 weeks! Hopefully hit my first stone next week!
Got the Strawberry milkshake drink this week for a change and it is lovely! Still continue to struggle with the savoury dishes though.

Anna50, honestly you'll be able to do this. The price tag attached to it is an incentive! If you're body & mind is telling you to do it now then don't wait till Christmas. My lost was planned over 29-35 weeks but I'm ahead of that which is great. I've basically written off 9 months to do the diet but I'm so happy 3 weeks in and seeing the results.

Hope everyone has great losses this week Smile

SarahRose88 · 08/11/2015 16:50

Hi all and welcome alphachick007 and Anna50!
Thanks so much for your support, Bexx and slimslimslim47, I read it all that day and it helped a lot, you're amazing, ladies! So the mistery of my grumpiness earlier this week resolved quite easily - TOM... Which means that my weight loss this week was just one embarrassing pound. But it still minus a pound, so I'm happy (although I hoped to jump from double digit to single digit weight this week, but oh well). I'm getting way behind the schedule written by the doctor (by 4 pounds, omg), despite i follow the diet without cheating (I mean, at all), no idea why, but still, "everything's cool as long as i'm getting thinner", right?!
Well done Pipan and Wolfie, your success is ever so inspirational!!! Please keep posting! Btw, do we have to take the supplements on stages 2 and 3 and stabilisation? Wolfie, how long will you be on stabilisation, did they tell you? And what about treatments? Do you still have them? And on which stage do you actually stop being in ketosis?.. Hmm, sorry for bombarding with questions ))
Keep posting folks and have a good week! X

SpaceCucumber · 11/11/2015 21:22

Hi there,

I've been reading through this thread. I tried to find an Alevere forum but there doesn't seem to be anywhere for support and chat so I thought I'd join up to chat to you ladies. I'm seriously considering doing this "diet". I used to be really skinny (I'm 5ft7) and fit but between having my kids, health issues and a hysterectomy I've piled on weight over the last few years and no matter what I do with my diet or increasing exercise I can't seem to shift even a few lbs. I'm currently 86.6kg and would really like to be more like 60kg.

I had a tummy tuck a few years ago as I had a large amount of loose skin that had lost all elasticity thanks to pregnancy and am really concerned with not just loosing the weight but keeping my shape and not ending up with loose skin again, so Alevere really appeals to me.

I am obviously really excited reading all your successes and dying to start ASAP but Hubby says to wait until after Christmas. Personally, I'm not fussed too much by Christmas food and don't tend to gorge or anything over the festive period so would be happy to start now but maybe he's right. I don't really want to tell anyone (not because I'm ashamed, just because my experience is that people around me weren't particularly supportive in the past) and hiding it over Christmas will be very difficult as we have a couple of family meals to attend.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll have tons of questions to bug you all with. I'm just about to have a chat with my Hubby over dinner to see when I can actually book an appointment to go to my local clinic and have the consultation.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you and getting to know you all! :)

Slimslimslim47 · 11/11/2015 21:55

Hi everyone what fantastic posts form you all and welcome to the new joiners and congratulations to those weight losses - even the 1lb. My last weigh in was day 23 of the plan last Thursday and I have lost a stone!! I am amazed and thrilled as it was just before my TOM so hoping for a good weigh in this Saturday. I went to a wedding last week and beforehand worked out what foods to take has my shakes and a bar and the hotel gave me a salad for my meal. To cope with all the questions and why I have declined every Christmas meal I have told people because of a food intolerance I have had to go vegan and reintroduce foods gradually - and oh the surprise benefit is a weight loss! Everyone is then really aupportive no one asks about costs and there is no pressure to just cheat for today... I have said it is a plan with the doctor and hopefully be over just after Christmas. My daughter and sister know how I am really doing it but I decided I did not want to spend my time and energy justifying my diet choice and feeling bad - instead as I have said everyone is so supportive and then tell you their food intolerances and how they need to cut down on bread / sugar / alcohol.
My tips for those who work if I haven't said it before is I have one of the middle cups and the night before when doing my beg for tea I cook extra and put in the cup and then the next day at work I mix up a soup and then put it with the veg in the microwave, a nice hot filling lunch.
I tried the caramel drink and really like that but with all of them I add more water than they say as otherwise I find them too thick.
I also love the pizza base and glad I waited to week three for that as it was just at the right time I want something proper to chew, and I like the pasta but not the carbonara sauce but I don't like that anyway so it wasn't a surprise.
Aldi do frozen rhubarb and I buy two boxes a week and cook that up and put into the fridge for after my tea each night with a spoon or two of the sweetner allowance.

I have also got a bike trainer - it is and frame you put on the back wheel which means I can put it in my front room and Chloe while watching the tv - it was £38 off eBay and brilliant for low impact cardio which my clinic has told me is the best fat burner, so up to 15 minutes a day and building up each day to get to 45 minutes in the next two weeks and then hopefully see my legs get very toned.

Finally again thanks everyone each week I find ibget really down for about a day and it is when I come back to this site and read the previous posts and feel supported and inspired again. I am at the Wilrshire clinic so if anyone else is there and wants to get in touch just post on here or private message me. Have a good week everyone xx

Slimslimslim47 · 11/11/2015 22:09

Apologies for the bad typing above - predictive text on my phone - I hope you can work out most of it. But it was a noodle bowl for work, and cycling whilst watching the TV Blush

alphachick007 · 12/11/2015 01:17

Hi, I have read through all your posts. 16 pages. It is very encouraging to read all your wonderful weight loss posts. I lost one and a half stone before joining the Alvere diet programme. I have between 2 to 2 and a half stone to loose. After reading all the fantastic weight loss stories in their leaflets I have been disappointed at my slow weight loss. The clinic are very pleased with my loss because my metabolic rate is very slow 1112. I am meeting the doctor's target, she estimated but 2-3 lbs seems so little especially when you are paying so much money for treatments etc.

But reading your posts has given me some fantastic tips. I have been doing 2-3 spin classes a week and a stretch and tone class with weights. Also I have been eating small portions of veg and often eating at 4 hourly intervals. So I am taking your advice and cutting back on the gymn and eating by the 3rd seeing if it improves my weight loss.

Ps what I am very pleased about is I have lost inches from a dress size 16 to 14! Thanks again for all your tips. I am off to buy a a battery operated shaker now. xxx you are inspiring ladies.

alphachick007 · 12/11/2015 01:54

Ps I am at the Liverpool clinic if anyone from there wants to get in touch.

SarahRose88 · 12/11/2015 13:17

Hi everyone! So great to read about how you're getting on! Congrats on your first stone, slimslimslim47!!!
Alphachick007, i'm quite similar to you, i had lost 2.5 stones before joining alevere, and had to lose 2.5 more. My metabolic rate is even less than yours and i was at my official "healthy" (although very top) bmi when started the programme, so i didn't expect fast weight loss and I'm going slightly over the doctor's target. Don't be disappointed, everyone's going at their own pace after all (and it varies a lot, 2-3 lb is fantastic!) Of course we all want to have it as fast as possible (considering the cost...), but i think, on a positive side - it's a great motivation against cheating!
Today it's exactly 2 months since I've started the programme, and I've lost 10 kg so far. This week is far better than the last one )
Have a great day guys and keep posting! X
Good luck

SpaceCucumber · 12/11/2015 17:23

So, I spoke to my Hubby. I'm booking a free 15 minute consultation and body check thingie ASAP. Am I crazy for thinking about starting this before Christmas?

Is there anything I should be asking at the free consultation?

What does the body analysis they do involve?

Cupcake0310 · 12/11/2015 19:21

Well done Spacecucumber!!!

My initial check was weight, height and resting calorie rate then met the doc for my second app. I paid for mine so unsure if everything will be covered.

I'd check that you can pay week to week as some clinics ask you to pay as a block.

Re starting before Xmas..... Why wouldn't you if that's what you want? You've got to do this for yourself so do what feels right. You'll know if it's a right time for you.

Good luck and let us know how you get on! Smile

SpaceCucumber · 12/11/2015 19:34

Thank you cupcake. I feel I could start ASAP. I don't really eat a lot and I don't much enjoy most Christmas style food, the hardest parts for me over Christmas will be not drinking but honestly I could do with (and want too) cut out my wine consumption anyway and also trying to do this major lifestyle change without others in my family noticing I'm not drinking as usual or joining in with the food. My MIL will be supportive and understanding, my own family probably will not and will insist I eat "proper" food (ie. crap). But they'll do that no matter when I do it if they find out what I'm doing.

I've booked my initial appointment for Monday. So excited. Apparently I can't eat or drink for 2 hours before my appointment and have to wear light clothing and be able to be bare foot. I think you normally have to pay £30 for this appointment but it's some sort of pre-Christmas promotion and they're doing it free.

I will definitely check with the clinic (Northampton) that they can do payments weekly.

I did have a small giggle when they asked me if I was pregnant. It'd be a miracle if I was considering I no longer have a uterus anymore. Grin

I can't wait. I'm so excited. I just wish my Hubby would stump up a bit sooner so I can get on with it ASAP.

SarahRose88 · 12/11/2015 20:00

Spacecucumber, great stuff! To be honest, the only thing I regret about this programme - that I hadn't started it sooner! So as Cupcake0310 said, you're doing it for yourself, and if you feel it's the right time, then it is! Good luck!

Slimslimslim47 · 13/11/2015 20:45

Space cucumber

A number of new people joined my clinic last week according to my therapist and I have to say after 1 month I am thrilled to have started.

So if you can start before Christmas and that is what you want to do then go for it. It is amazing how people who love you will sabotage you, as I said in a previous post I now say I am vegan on doctors orders and that stops a lot of the pressure.
Tomorrow is my weigh in day and I am hoping for a 2 kilo loss.

But I can see my body changing every day which is amazing.
If you do start then I really suggest that for the week before you start up your fluid intake to the 2 ltr you have to drink as you will get a headache from this and not great if trying to figure out the diet aswell. Also get the clinic to give you the food sheet so you know what unlimited veg to buy and stock up on that.
SR88 and AC007 well done on your weight losses you are an inspiration.
Does anyone think the mash potatoes is worth getting as a food box??

Have a good weekend everyone x

Anna50 · 13/11/2015 22:25

Hi everyone. I an half way through first week and it is ok. Not wonderful or awful. Just ok. It is quite hard fitting in 5 sachets and an omelette!! Re the mashed potato - I am new to this but I boil some free veg in a small amount of water - just to cook it a bit - and then blend this and to potato mix which makes a sort of thick veg soup. I like the shake best, but of course you can't add veg to that. So I am trying to fit in raw veg like celery and cucumber. I have started now before Christmas, because I feel motivated and normally would put a lot of weight on at this time of year. I have refused all social events, mostly saying I have hosp appointments. Or if it is evening say I am already busy. Good luck all

BexxG · 14/11/2015 17:44

Hi everyone, and a special welcome to the new starters.

Had a bit of a crap weigh in last week but it was my fault. Took the kids to blackpool was really good all day and the decided to "treat" myself. First time I have felt like that since i started 13 weeks ago. I wouldnt mind but I only ate half of it and cant really say I overly enjoyed it either. Still, it made me realise that I defo cant cheat and if I want to do this I need to plow through.

It has been a good motivator so totally back on track and hoping for a good weigh in this week.

I have to keep reminding myself that however hard and tedious the programme can be, the proof is in the pudding so to speak. I have now lost 3.5 st exactly (at last weigh in) in 13 weeks. And that really isnt to be sniffed at!

The last outfit I bought before starting the programme was a size 24 top and a 26 bottoms...... I have just bought a size 18 top and a size 20 jeans! How exciting is that!

Another milestone for me (and i have just realised this) is that I am exactly half way through the programme now! I remember reading someones declaration of that when I joined the boards and I thought I would never get there!

SC - you have done the right thing starting now. There will always be Christmas, birthdays,, a wedding, a holiday, all valid (kinda) excuses for putting it off, but with this programme its all in the timing. The timing had to be right for me to take the plunge and I am so happy for you that you have done the same.

Anna - well done lovely. My first week was hellish! So you are already a step above me! Just you wait til weigh in, it will be worth it hun.

SSS - i'm the same, i always feel encouraged and re-motivated after coming on here.

Well done everyone. Please keep sharing and posting xxxx

Anna50 · 14/11/2015 17:49

Bexx thanks for your encouragement. Well done on your fast loss. I don't know if I can carry on for 13 weeks. It's hearing everyone's trials and successes that urge me on. Xx
