Omg 6pds in once week! Yay! Smile Hope your all well, have a great weekend ladies x

SoonToBeMrsB · 18/04/2015 10:22

Well done BB, that's great!

I'm 6.6lbs down after four days, weigh in is Tuesday morning and I can't wait to see how much I lose after my first full week! Weekends are always really hard for me, it's typically our takeaway night where we demolish giant pepperoni pizzas or curries with chocolate and cookies but there will be none of that for the foreseeable future.

Dowser · 18/04/2015 22:37

Wow mrs b. well done. That's an amazing loss and well done resisting the urge to binge.

I've had one chocolate un six days , so I'm doing well.

Can't tell if I've lost weight though.

SoonToBeMrsB · 19/04/2015 07:59

Thanks Dowser, I'm five days binge free now. 7.8lbs down since Tuesday.

Well done on the lack of chocolate, that's great will power!

I've lost 4 lbs since January which isn't great. But having not been to sw group in a few weeks I was surprised to even see a loss of 1 lb. Need to try being better again now.

Got a good incentive now as I found my dress! Need to order it in autumn so need to lose weight till then

Dowser · 20/04/2015 08:08

You are doing well mrs B. sometimes we just need the better weather before we can give it our best shot. Cold days and long dark nights aren't conducive to much more than hibernating.

There's the sound of Worcester cathedral bells chiming 8 pm. I shall be sad to leave this lovely panoramic view behind.

Eating has been quite good this week. Only sugar has been 1 square of chocolate and last night two small cereal bars as I was starving.

Been on a fabulous dowsing course with some lovely people , been looking with the help of an EFT therapist as to why I crave sugar/ chocolate. Will need to do some work on myself when home.

My craving for sugar vanished when I ate a proper meal. Is it because im hungry...I don't know

I don't know. The more I learn the more I find out there's more to learn.

However, we are more powerful than we think and sadly we only use a tiny fraction of the power of our brains.
We've lost a lot of our innate senses which is very sad really.

gotredonyou · 20/04/2015 09:36

Yay well done Soon I'm really rooting for you this time, Is this the longest you've ever been on a vlcd? Do you feel like you're in ketosis now?

I'm swapping my breakfasts for Cambridge shakes for the next two weeks. Found a leopard dress for my birthday but want to look a little less bloated so hopefully this will help xx

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/04/2015 09:48

Glad to hear your eating has been good Dowser.

I woke up this morning feeling sick, shaky and weepy so I'm eating today. Food looks like this:

B: 30g porridge with cinnamon, nutmeg and 1tsp maple syrup
L: Ham and boiled egg salad with balsamic vinaigrette and feta cheese
D: Bunless burger with cheese and relish, salad and homemade guacamole
S: Babybel, coffee

I'll be on Exante again tomorrow, though I may treat it like a fast day rather than getting back on the Total Solution plan full time.

I've also resolved to throw my scales in the bin and weigh elsewhere once a month. I'm getting far too obsessed, I'm hopping on and off them two or three times a day and I'm already panicking about my three nights out next month due to what the scales might say.

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/04/2015 09:54

Sorry gotred, cross post.

No, I still wasn't feeling fully in ketosis. I kept getting some symptoms but the relentless hunger never went away and I still felt weak, dizzy and headachy. I felt absolutely rotten this morning so I'm not torturing myself, I'll have food and then see how I feel tomorrow. I'm happy to use the Exante packs as and when I need them xo

OP posts:
gotredonyou · 20/04/2015 10:23

Oh no but you were so close! Another couple of days and those awful symptoms would have disappeared ! It's all or nothing with vlcd I think- you'll only succeed if you are 100% committed. I got to a point where I was miserable about my weight which made me determined to succeed and prove everyone wrong! x

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/04/2015 10:35

I'm miserable about my weight but I was more miserable on the VLCD and there was no sign of it passing after six days. Even the allowed drinks were bloody miserable - plain water makes me gag and I went to bed feeling sick every night after choking back litres of the stuff Sad I think the milk in my coffee was keeping me out of ketosis but I couldn't survive on just plain water and one can of coke zero, it was grim.

I'm not writing it off completely and I still might go back to one of the higher step plans using two shakes and a low carb meal but today I need food! xo

OP posts:
gotredonyou · 20/04/2015 11:11

I have only ever drank water so that was never a problem for me. Oh well, you have to find something that works for you! I'm struggling finding anything that was as easy as Cambridge for me hmmm x

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/04/2015 11:25

I'm so envious of you, the plan really works and the science behind it makes total sense but it's really just not the solution for me. I can't shut my brain off and get on with it, I'm constantly resentful and thinking about food.

I'm quite happy to do 5:2 or even 4:3 on weeks that I'm going to be out a lot (the week of my birthday I have two dinners out plus book group where there will be cake) because I know that I can eat the next day. I think I need to stop focusing and stressing so much about on being "on plan", whether the "plan" is SW, WW, Exante, calorie counting or something else. Fast days, healthy eating and exercise will eventually get me where I need to be xo

OP posts:
gotredonyou · 20/04/2015 11:36

Oh god don't be envious of me! I spent years and years yo-yoing with my weight until I found something I could stick to- I'm certain you'll find something for you. For me I've found its all or nothing, I have to have a plan to stick to else I'll just eat what I fancy so I end up maintaining (Like I have done for the last year!!) I just wish I had stayed on Cambridge for another month or two rather than moving up the steps when my consultant advised me to. I would be maintaining at a healthier weight now rather than constantly debating whether to go back on the plan hmmm!!

Honestly, ketosis was a revelation for me!! For the first time in my life I had no interest in food and the weight was falling off me. Usually on diets, I feel all 'woe is me' refusing office biscuits/meals out etc.. but I literally wasn't interested one bit!!

Dowser · 20/04/2015 12:30

Oh dear. Sorry to hear that mrs B . I'm sick of feeling lifeless with no energy.

Yesterday I actually asked my tutor to dowse me as I had to close my eyes to listen to him. I couldn't watch and hear at the same time I was just so physically tired after sleeping best part of 8 hours.

I was shocked when he told me my aura was over the other side of the room. I thought it was huddld round me like a security blanket!

He gave me some healing so I do feel a little bit brighter today. I wonder if I give a lot of my energy away or I'm just too sensitive. Do I pick up a lot of negative energy. Something seems to be sapping me.

Anyway am about to tuck into home made shepherds pie so that should put a smile on my face.

Gorgeous sunny day here . Hope it's the same for you.

DiDiddlyIDi · 21/04/2015 09:04

Hello ladies

I'd like to join your lovely bunch if I may. I'm working towards losing at least 1 stone or 5 inches from my waist before our 26th September wedding.
It's tough going some days but I'm using body coach like gotred has mentioned.
So who is getting married first?

SoonToBeMrsB · 21/04/2015 09:18

Hi DiDiddlyIDi, welcome!

Not sure who's first but I'm definitely last - June 2016 Smile

OP posts:
Dowser · 21/04/2015 09:24

Hello Diddly. Lovely to have another bride come aboard.

There's been a few who dropped out at the beginning but I think FSC is first amongst the rest of us in June.. I'm just before you in sept.

I can't remember who's in between. Mrs b is next year I believe.

It is tough going . I've been messing around since Jan 1st. Still trying to lose those same ten pounds. I think I'm just maintaining. I have lots of health issues as I'm old and often feel too tired to get up in winter.

I'm into alternative health so you might find some of my posts are peppered with various things. Just ignore if they don't resonate with you.

I've got both my dresses. They just need taking up and I need to be a bit more comfortable in them. Then I'm done.

Good luck ;-)

Dowser · 21/04/2015 09:27

X post Mrs B. it's surprising how quickly it comes around. Almost just a year Togo.

You can do it love.

At The hotel we are staying in at the moment I was talking to the receptionist we have got to know pretty well and she's lost 5 stone in 2 years. She looks really good.

She basically cut out the junk.

gotredonyou · 21/04/2015 09:35

Welcome Diddly, I'm really interested in The body Coach's plan! How are you getting on so far??

Its exactly 7 months today I get married eeeeek !! x

DiDiddlyIDi · 21/04/2015 09:42

Exciting times for us all. Where are you off to for your honeymoons girls?
We get married in September and honeymoon is in feb, this means I must keep slim ??

I love body coach, I've not got a Michelle Keegan torso yet but I'm confident I'm doing the right thing. I find it easy to stick to and never hungry. Have the odd craving for sweet stuff but for the first time in I don't know how long I'm not eating sweet stuff.

I'm 5ft 4 currently weigh 11s 7lbs
What about you gotred, if similar I can show you a couple of recipes in the plan for you try out

FreakinScaryCaaw · 21/04/2015 10:00

Hi DiDiddly and welcome.

I'm getting married 8 weeks today. I started the original post first thread so we could motivate each other as it's so hard trying to lose weight with our busy lives.

I did hope to lose 2 stone but it's nearer one now. Still may lose some but as long as my dress fits comfortably I'll be happy Smile

FreakinScaryCaaw · 21/04/2015 10:09

Not sure how 'post ' got in there? Confused

SoonToBeMrsB · 21/04/2015 10:10

I'm not having a honeymoon, as such - we're eloping and getting married in Central Park in NYC, which is where we got engaged. We're going for ten nights so it's more of a "weddingmoon"!
