I wish we craved food that our body needs instead of all the tasty junk that makes us fat and ill...doesn't make sense!

I just wish I was someone who never had a weight problem...the lady I sit next to at work has been a size 8-10 her whole life- she eats healthy but has meals out/treats every week and does regular exercise.

I'm getting really good at maintaining- I know i'll never be obese again, I just want to be a few stone down so I can maintain at a healthy weight but it's just so hard!! :(

SoonToBeMrsB · 16/04/2015 12:29

One of my best friends is an 8-10, eats like a horse and the one and only time she told me that she'd been for a run I looked at her like Confused lol. I don't understand why some people don't struggle like I do, it makes me want to stamp my feet and shout about how unfair it is!

Oh dear. We don't seem to be doing too good do we?

My dress for the civil ceremony is a very unforgiving dress made of non stretchy material so I do need to shed another 3-5 lbs

( I do have a back up dress just in case. )

If anything my wedding dress maybe needs a little tuck in at the back.

They both need shortening.

Babysitting tonight. This is where I normally dive into the kids sweets, leftovers you name it.

Not doing that tonight.

gotredonyou · 16/04/2015 13:28

I don't even want to eat like a horse, I just want to eat like I eat now (80% healthy 20% meals out/treats) and lose some weight...but then I have this constant battle with myself of whether I am happy now or not. My dress fits me perfectly but It's not how I imagined I would look on my wedding day. I wanted to look young, pretty & healthy but I look kind of round and chubby still. My mum sent me a picture she took at the bridal shop- I could post it for the next hour or so if anyone wants to see what I mean??

SoonToBeMrsB · 16/04/2015 13:41

Yes, post it! I'm sure you look amaaazing and I really want to see you in your dress Grin

Ok here goes- I'll delete it at 3 as I'd be gutted if my oh saw this!!

SoonToBeMrsB · 16/04/2015 13:46

I think you look incredible! I know it all comes down to personal feeling but honestly, I think you look slim and healthy. Gorgeous!

I love the dress so much...the belt really pulls in my waist but I ate my chubby red arms and you can see the ruching on my stomach because the underskirt is too tight on my hips/bum...

FreakinScaryCaaw · 16/04/2015 15:51

Aw did I miss your dress?

Dowser · 16/04/2015 16:12

Me too.

gotredonyou · 16/04/2015 16:37

I'm afraid so, I can put it up again tomorrow for an hour if you like?

Just realised I wrote before 'I ate my chubby red arms' lol that was meant to be HATE Blush

FreakinScaryCaaw · 16/04/2015 16:41

I'm not on mumsnet all the time so will miss it never mind.

Dowser · 16/04/2015 17:36

I'm travelling but if we get 3 g in the car I will look out for it.

SoonToBeMrsB · 17/04/2015 09:25

Three days done and I'm down 6lbs so far Grin I have 5lbs to lose to get back into the 13s and I'm really, really hoping I can shift that before weigh in next week. I know that the massive loss in week one is 90% water but I've lost 6cm around my belly button so at least some bloating is gone.

That's amazing Soon Do you feel like you're in ketosis yet??

Is there such a website which lets you upload password protected photos? Then I could private message you the password to view it?

SoonToBeMrsB · 17/04/2015 10:14

I think I'm getting there now because I couldn't get tired at all last night and I'm still not that tired, plus I'm COLD AS BALLS. The sun is shining into the office, I have the heater on at my back and cardigan on but I have icy cold hands and goosebumps Confused

gotredonyou · 17/04/2015 12:09

Brill- ah I remember that feeling!! x

SoonToBeMrsB · 17/04/2015 12:19

The only thing that is marring my happiness is (and I'm so sorry for TMI) I haven't been to the loo in a full week. I'm now blending unflavoured Fybogel into my shakes but I feel like someone could pop me with a pin and four days of shakes and bars can't be helping my digestion Angry

Argh xo

gotredonyou · 17/04/2015 12:24

Lots of tea & water as soon as I woke was the only thing that would make me 'go' on Cambridge, Coffee would do the trick too but I don't like it. Last resort was a sennakot the day before weigh in lol

Although you might feel bloated from not going, think about how little food is in your bowels, your body simply doesn't need to go.

SoonToBeMrsB · 17/04/2015 12:30

I'm pretty sure I have IBS, I've been chronically constipated for several years and until very recently when I introduced a daily Fybogel mixed into Tropicana, I have no memory of ever going to the toilet and feeling like I'd finished (sorry, I hope no-one is eating!) Blush Now I can't have Tropicana and mixing it into water is just vile.

I've not been since last Friday morning and since then I've had a McDonalds, a pizza, doughnuts, cookies, Doritos with salsa, pie and chips and a cake from Greggs. Pretty sure I should have gone by now Wink I've only been doing Exante since Tuesday, I ate my body weight in food between Friday and Tuesday...

wow you took your 'last meal' to the extreme! lol why don't you speak to your doctor about ibs- they might be able to prescribe something or offer dietary advice. x

SoonToBeMrsB · 17/04/2015 13:17

Yup, binge eating disorder works like that. It wasn't even meant to be my "last meal", I tried to start Exante every day last week from Thursday onwards but ended up panicking and bingeing every evening Sad

I want to speak to my doctor but they only do appointments between 9am and 4pm, and I'm at work then. I've had a fair amount of time for doctor/dentist visits in the past few months so I'm not keen to take the piss with it! xo

god that's rubbish! My docs are open 7.30-6 most weekdays now x

Dowser · 17/04/2015 14:58

I definitely have it and I manage it by cutting out wheat and most gluten and milk.

I take probiotics which help the gut flora.

I don't drink fizzy drinks. Just Water, fruit teas and the occasional g and t.

I stopped all pain killers two years ago. I think ibuprofen was gumming up the works.

I haven't had antibiotics for two years and I don't take antacids now either. That was three years ago.

If you do one thing for your body its keeping the digestive system working smoothly. I would get some good quality probiotics . Capsules liket probio 7 or 10 seemprettygood.

Flaxseed oil ( linseed oil ) is good. You can take the linseeds but you must chew them thoroughly.

Psyllium husks are good. I also take two soft figs on a night.

Nettle tea is a very good cleanser.

Apples on account of their pectin

Vitamin c ( the powder like linusit ) is very good. Mix in some apple juice.

We put coffee in the wrong end. Needs to go up your bum. Got to be good quality. It's a very good de Tobe for the liver.

Fermented foods are very good for the digestive system. I make sauerkraut and kefir. This is for the probiotic content.

And Sugar. Sugar is just a poison to the body.. We really shouldn't eat it at all.
Helps candida to overgrow which causes bloating, gas, discomfort etc, helps cancers to grow and it's so addictive.

When I'm bad, I've overdone the sugar. I'm on day 6 . I did have a wobble when my grandson offered me one piece last night. One piece In six days isn't bad but I'm not proud.

Dowser · 17/04/2015 14:59

Detox for the liver
