Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Well, I lost another 3lb in the last 2 weeks and it was the party on Saturday night. Even though I say so myself I looked fab - helped that the dress was very flattering and that I wore a 'hold-it-all-in' thing underneath but I actually felt a bit sexy for the first time in ages. Then I got very drunk, stumbled about a bit, threw up and got poured into bed at about 3am by DH Diet has gone completely for a burton so am expecting to have put a bit back on this week but going to get back on track in the lead up to Xmas them blow it for a week . Would be so nice to end 2006 two stones lighter than I began it and I'm only a couple of lb off.

Keep up the good work everyone! We're all fabulous!

LynnC · 06/12/2006 13:33

Well done Evogirl thats fab and glad to hear you had a great night and looked and felt sexy again. PMSL at the throwing up and being put to bed by DH .

Are you at home or have access to a points calculator or anyone else? I got a tuna salad for lunch and trying to figure out whether to be good (and no doubt starve in 2 hours again) and only eat half or just have the whole lot?? It has 180 cals of which saturates 0.5g anyone??

oh those are for half a pack so whatever it is I will have to double to eat whole thing!

LynnC · 06/12/2006 13:55

Its ok everyone I have managed to go one step inbetween and stop myself about 3/4 of way through. Think if it wasnt weigh in tonight I wouldnt have had quite the same willpower as I still would like to keep eating.....

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 06/12/2006 13:57

Off the top of my head, that would be about 3 points Lynn. My points calc is downstairs - sorry. You won't go far wrong if you allow 3 for the half. Seems a fairly high 'salad'...enjoy it!

I've been starving these last few days. Not good. Weigh in tomorrow...

LynnC · 06/12/2006 14:10

Thanks Dior, I will guess at about 4 1/2 then. Unfortunately I didnt even enjoy it but I was just fed up with soup and fancied a change.

Good luck for tomorrow I'm sure your starving will be worth it when you get on those scales.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 06/12/2006 21:34

Lynn - checked it on my p. calc and half was 2.5 points. So you probably had 4 points' worth.

I am so hungry. I think it is because I am not planning proper meals for me. I need to get more organised and look up some recipes that we all like as a family, so that I actually get a proper meal rather than picking. I have gone 2 points over today, but hope it won't make a difference tomorrow!

LynnC · 07/12/2006 10:32

Awe thanks for looking that up for me last night thats great, although I put down for the 4 1/2 anyway just incase and I was still clawing back from weekend. Anyway 2 1/2 off last night as you can see I'm delighted. Hope everyone else has a great week too.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 07/12/2006 13:19

Brilliant! Well done.

I lost 1lb. I think I need to start planning better meals and making more effort to actually sit down and eat a meal slowly, rather than eating bits and pieces. This week has been a picky week and I haven't felt really full.

LynnC · 07/12/2006 13:51

Well done, you shouldnt beat yourself up your doing great. Although I know what you mean about the meals thats my struggle - last night dp and dd sat down to steak pie, potatoes veg lots of gravy while I had a ww lasagne! Now it was quite nice but have to admit at drooling over theirs!

You always sound so organised with your points. Probably because youve not been too well, I'm sure when your back to your usual self you will find it easier again.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 07/12/2006 13:55

I haven't been ill, just needed ABs for somthing minor. They made me feel sick, but I got over that in two days . Must admit though that I am not totally happy with 1lb, but I know all the reasons why I should be. I'm a bad ex-leader really, as I do all the things that I used to tell members off for! I even weighed myself about 4 times this week

LynnC · 07/12/2006 14:51

pmsl Dior - I weigh every day at work too!

and your not a bad ex leader, your only bl00dy normal and cant be really good all the time. heres hoping for 2lb off next week to cheer you up and get you back into things.

Donbean · 08/12/2006 10:47

OH big fat balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stayed the bloody same, cant bloody believe it, am gutted bloody pissed off.
Ive been really really good for 3 weeks now and ive lost a grand total of 2.5lbs.
Onwards and downwards i hope for next week.

DIOR.....HELP ME...

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 08/12/2006 13:08

Donbean:

What would you like to have happen next week?
What needs to change in order for that to happen?
Can you think of one step to start with?
Have you tried doing No Count?

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 11/12/2006 11:30

So, how are we all doing this week? I went over my points yesterday. Due on next week and am starving! I am going to have to weigh tomorrow instead of Thursday because I am doing a card sale on Thursday, so will only have had 5 days!

SueW · 11/12/2006 19:27

I am having a holiday week this week - because I had to switch DD's horse-riding lesson and it clashed with WW and I have two Xmas do's tomorrow. One at lunch, one in the evening.

I weighed on my scales at 7pm today and was 0.2lb lighter than 6pm last Monday on my scales which means I owuld have stayed the same at WW, I'm sure. Possibly lost 0.5lb as I had different trousers on than I would use to weigh in.

LOL at weighing in. I note my 'naked' weight every morning and I weigh myself every night too. On a weigh in day I do early morning weight, pre-WW weight and post-WW weight......

SueW · 11/12/2006 19:33

Dior, do WW do any Friday or Saturday meetings at all in the UK? There are none listed after Thursday evening in the 40 I can get off the WW website for my area.

In Oz, I used to weigh in on either Friday or Saturday. The three different meetings I went to were Fri am, Fri lunch, Sat am.

LynnC · 12/12/2006 13:49

hi everyone, hope your doing well and sticking to your plans. Me...well had the worst weekend ever and very much with all I ate. It was my birthday although absolutely no excuse to sit and eat full box of aftereights! I will not be going to my meeting this week and have to try get back into swing of things before I let things slip too much.

How was the weigh in Dior? Good luck on your holiday week SueW hope you manage to stay semi good at least - enjoy!

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 12/12/2006 15:46

Sue - not usually Fri/Sat, but some are on Sunday mornings.

I weighed in this morning 1.5 lbs lighter, after 5 days!!! Was really pleased. Have dh's Xmas do in London on Friday and wanted to get some weight off before it for confidence reasons. Have lost 6 lbs in total (although 10.5 lbs since my heaviest weight as I didn't do the first two weeks really and gained weight!)

I went to a meeting run by an old colleague and she was very welcoming. Also, one lady sat next to me and chatted to me, which was nice as I knew no-one! The leader introduced me to the class as an old leader and said I must be nearly at goal now (um, no, try 2 stone to go!) which was also nice.

Then, I went shopping aand managed to get the shoes for Friday night, so I am on a high. Plus, ds is at the pantomine with school today, so I don't have to pick him up until 5pm!

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 12/12/2006 15:47

Lynn - go to your meeting and get it over with!

sunchowder · 12/12/2006 15:51

I lost another 1.6 pounds! Very pleased. I will weigh-in again on Thursday and then I go on my cruise.....I am very excited and want to feel confident that the cruise will just be a blip in my "losing" because I plan to be on maintenance for the week!

LynnC · 12/12/2006 16:16

well done Dior thats fantastic after 5 days and glad to hear your feeling good about yourself. Hope Friday is a good night and you enjoy it.

I know your right and it will give me a quick nudge to get back to being good if I weigh in on Wednesday but grudge paying when I know how bad I have been. I will post if I do go and let you know.

and well done sunchowder, hope your cruise if fantastic.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 12/12/2006 16:20

Lynn - if you don't go, I guarantee you will gain more. That is why I went this morning, as I couldn't go on Thusrday. If I had planned to 'miss' a week, I would have eaten badly for the two weeks. It is going to be bad enough having a 6 course meal that I can't plan for as I have no idea of the menu! There is a free bar too, but I'm on really strong anti-biotics, so will use that as an excuse not to drink too much...

LynnC · 12/12/2006 16:54

ok - I will go and I know what your saying is true because I have been bad today too because I wasnt intending to go - think I should skip dinner now! these bloody christmas nights/birthdays have a lot to answer for!

well hopefully your night will be really good and the menu wont be too bad and let you feel like you have done well and enjoy the night. Pity your still on your antibiotics, hope you feel better soon.

SueW · 12/12/2006 23:47

Well done Dior and sunchowder.

Dior I had a similar problem wrt to that dinner I went to a couple of weeks ago although I did know what was on the menu - but kind of made it worse as it was all stuff I liked. In the end though I just ate a little from each course.

Have just been out two Xmas do's today. Lunch I had quiche (oh no - pastry, egg, cream, prob mushrooms were sauted before being put in quiche) and salad. Tonight I didn't enjoy the food much so didn't worry too much about pushing about half of every course to one side and picking out the bits I did like.

You could always ring the venue in advance and tell them you need a low-fat, low cholesterol meal for health reasons. It's always good to give caterers a challenge

westerngirl · 13/12/2006 14:59

hello everyone,

I think everybody is doing brillantly considering the time of year. Even if we put on some weight during Christmas, at least it's not on top of our starting weight, iyswim. I'm down to 9 stone 5 lbs (1 lb from FINAL goal). It's funny, I never appreciated (or even felt in good shape) being 8 stone. Now (having been 12 stone 1 lb) I really am delighted at being 1 and a half stone heavier. I think it's partly relief at coming back from being so uncomfortably heavy. Exercise is also integral to really 'feeling' good.
Dior, I hope you really enjoy that swanky meal. I sometimes get a half portion of dessert, or even inform my husband we're sharing his one. This is to prevent him eating too many sweet things, you understand.

My ww meeting isn't on again for 3 weeks. Hope I don't regard this as carte blanche. Is everyone else in same boat? MANTRA: I will NOT eat my child's selection box.

Best of luck over Christmas.
