Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Donbean · 30/11/2006 14:43

Hello,

Have lost 1lb this week. This is same as you Donbean but I am not gutted. Prefer consistent as this allows me to tone up at same time. This is 34lbs I have lost since june 28th. In fact you sound brillantly toned. Flat tummy . Grr, it's not fair .

Sorry you're feeling unwell Dior. At least when the course is finished you'll be back on par. Did you really eat 20 points all the way through that weight loss? Can I ask what height you are? I'm 5' 2" and an teetering on 17 at the mo. I don't think i calculate my activity level properly and don't award enough points.

Best of luck everyone. Actually shouldn't attribute it to luck. It's sheer determination and focus isn't it. With the right circumstances thrown in.

I lost 1 lb over the Thanksgiving week---I couldn't believe it! So I am pleased and will be a bit stricter this week. Love this thread.

sunchowder · 01/12/2006 15:51

Oh..yes lost 11 pounds in the four weeks--I know it will be slower going now.

thehairybabysmum · 02/12/2006 08:41

Hello everyone...i put 0.5 lb on this week..was dissapoointed as i had had an ok week but i had a bad week last week so i guess it has come and bit me on the bum!! Am going to be really good this week and hopefully i will get a good result next thurs...would like to lose 3lbs as htis will be my 10%.

Well done to all of you who have lost.

Donbean · 02/12/2006 16:17

Thanks Dior that makes sense and yes you are my leader.....its easier to speak to you than it is to my leader as the class is a very very busy and popular one. (the leader is fab..just busy)
I lost 28lbs in total precisely a year ago. Ive put 5lbs on since September and lost the plot a bit.
I dont want to go back to the frumpy, big tracky bottomed big T.shirted person that i was.
I LOVE wearing jeans and nice tops, i want to stay thin....hence the panick!!
Got to keep it up!!

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 02/12/2006 18:23

Well Donbean - when I was a leader, I would have been really hacked off if one of my members was listening to someone on-line, even if they were once a Leader themselves. Please don't mention that you have taken my advice. I hope you have a brilliant week and a great loss. Do remember to post how you do at the next weigh-in!

I am still going strong. Chinese tonight (pointed of course). I'm starving at the moment because I have made sure I have plenty of points for it. Must try and eat it slowly rather than shoving it in as per normal!

Dottydotthehalls · 04/12/2006 09:43

Dior - help!!!! I've seriously plateaued at a loss of 27lbs - have put on 1lb and lost 1lb over the last month - so haven't really lost anything since the beginning of November...

I need re-energising and re-motivating - am in the mood now (been ill quite a bit over the past month) to carry on losing - I've got another 18lbs to lose before I'm at my goal weight.

Any suggestions on how to kick start losing weight again? I do the no count, but have lost the plot a bit.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 04/12/2006 13:52

Well, the best way to get motivation back is to do the other plan for at least a week. It gets you reading the manual again. Also, re-do the habit audit, to see if you have beaten some of your old habits. You might need to start working on another. Do you measure yourself? You might have lost inches, even if you haven't lost pounds.

If you really want to stay with NC, have a look at portion sizes. Are you still eating until 'comfortably full', or has that slipped a little? Full Choice is good because it makes you realise how big a portion is for the points. I know the two plans work differently but sometimes you need to remind yourself just how much you really are eating.

Do you exercise? If not, try to walk a little each day. If you do, try a different type of exercise. Sometimes your body needs a kick-start as it can get used to what you are currently doing. Also, remember the 8 glasses of fluid - they really do seem to help with weight-loss.

HTH!

Dottydotthehalls · 04/12/2006 14:34

Yes, I think the portions and water are where I've slipped big time. Have cut down my lunch today (and warned my dp, boss and all and sundry that I'm going to be in a Bad Mood for the rest of this week..!) but no water so far. Will go and down a glass right now!

Thanks - I'll be OK by the end of the week if I can just get going again.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 04/12/2006 16:35

Oh, and don't forget to write down what you are eating. I know you don't have to for NC, but it helps you for future reference.

Good luck this week. I can whole-heartedly recommend changing plans if you don't shift any this week. I love Full Choice.

SueW · 04/12/2006 19:54

Weigh-in tongiht - lost 1.5lbs

Makes 19.5lbs total lost.

Big effort to lose 10% of bodyweight before Xmas.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 04/12/2006 21:05

Well done!!! Fab. How much to goal?

I am still going strong, although I have had a hungry couple of days. I got mightily p*ssed off with ds yesterday and ate a whole tub of Skinny Cow Go Mintal ice cream! I allowed for it, but it did mean no-point soup for supper . I enjoyed it though and it did make me feel comforted.

Went to aero-step again today. Have been hungry all day, despite gross tasting anti-biotics. Nearly through course now...

SueW · 04/12/2006 22:58

Far too much to goal to contemplate at the moment.

A journey of 10,000 miles begins with a single step

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 05/12/2006 19:36

Yes, you are right. Well done anyway!

I have eaten rubbish today, all pointed and every mouthful enjoyed. M&S sandwich (not exactly rubbish), three packs of light M&S crisps, 2 M&S count on us choc mousses...yum!

Am having no-point soup for supper and a banana and apple - worth it though!

Rooicosta · 05/12/2006 20:54

Hi I'm new on this board! Hope you don't mind.

I realy want to shift some weight and have been doing slimming world for a couple of weeks but with limited success. I think the problem is being able to eat too much and it also makes me feel really bloated.

The good thing about it though was that I could use the online website to help me. Does anyone have the WW online access code etc., so I can use that to help me? And can anyone offer any advice?

It would be great to hear from somebody who was also an ex SW member.

Thanks for listening x

LynnC · 06/12/2006 09:36

Hi everyone your all doing fab - my weigh in tonight so will post in morning and let you all know how I get on. Not sure how I've done and dont shout at me Dior but I have beside me yet another half completed tracker . I had a bad weekend and gave up but desparately tried to make up for it from Monday so hoping I did enough.

All your M&S stuff sounds lovely Dior and well done for managing to save enough points to have it all.

Just been told our christmas lunch is at TGI Fridays and the menu seems to be fat, fat, fat or more fat. Bit disappointed and have decided not to have a starter and just eat half my main course and I have to account for a couple of vodkas too - just to keep me sane of course .

Hi Rooicosta hopefully you will find ww easier and works for you. Sorry but dont have a code for the website but someone else might. If not then even if you could manage to just one class you would receive the books etc that would have all the information you need to get you started. Good luck.
