Hiya

I'll kick start this thread off, I joined WW last Friday and have 1 stone and 9lbs to loose. If I loose more all the better. Good luck everybody!

Hi everyone
Is it too late to join in with you all. Have been watching your thread for some weeks and you all doing so well. I did ww 4 years ago to great success. Had post natal depression after dd2 so had no motivation to lose baby weight. Now she is 16 months old I am fully recovered and ready to get body back on track.

Started doing points at home as cant make meetings. Had 1st 6lb to lose. Lost 9 lbs in first 3 weeks, then just 1lb a week. However have now not lost a thing for 4 weeks! stuck solid at 10.11. I run 2 miles 2x per week. Walk 4 miles a day minimum on school run. Do toning exercises most mornings. What am I doing wrong. Any advice would be gratefully received as tempted to just go back to eating loads of biscuits and buns every week

SueW · 25/11/2006 08:56

If doing No COunt, switch to Full Count.

You could increase your running by no more than 10% or do some other kind of exercise instead e.g. go swimming.

Got to run now but good luck!

Hi all!
Well, i went back after an absence of 5/6 weeks and i had put 5lbs on.
I was gutted so decided to try to get that and another 5 off.
Went back this week, in the mdst of a humdinger af and i had lost 1.5 so am happy.
been really good and saved 10 points because we are out to tea at the fish and chip restruant for dh's brothers birthday.
Had small portion of scampi and chips....how many points do you estimate will be in that????

OH MY GOD!!! ive just looked in my ww book and a large portion of chippy chips is 9 points, this was a small portion so i halved it.
Scampi came in at 4 points, again a small portion.
REALY 15 points on one meal, do you realy think so Dior?

I just think, what a waste of 15 points, i didnt enjoy it and would rather have spent my points on better stuff.
Ah well, tomorow is another day.
Dont have a plan for tomorow, need to think thin!!!
Nice to see you here again Dior x

Thanks Dior. I dont, I just stick to my my 20 points, so you may well be right. Maybe if I up my points to take into account exercise for a week or 2 (gosh what a hardship ) and see what happens. It really is so frustrating.

We went to the dinner last night - absolutely FANTASTIC btw thoroughly recommmend The Truth Will Out - and I was very good on the food front, having just a small amount of each course.

Sadly, I suspect I was not at all good on the alcohol front..... I was certainly merry. No idea how many points consumed from alcohol and food.

Today we're having curry instead of a roast for dinner and had a late brekkie. Aubergine curry for me which is v low in points and 3 points worth of rice to try to recoup some of the damage. I am seriously tempted to not go to weigh-in tomorrow and go on Tues or Thursday evening instead! I loathe Monday weigh-ins.

thehairybabysmum · 27/11/2006 11:53

Hello everyone...i lost 1.5 lb on thurs so was v. chuffed...am aiming for another 2 this week. Have had a busy weekend with visitors. I went over sat as we all had a curry and chocolate but yesterday was ok and im being super strict this week (so far so good but is only monday!!!).

Dior, glad you had a good week.
Sue W, sure you will be fine, sounds like youwere restrained on sat night.
Pinkmama not sure what to advise, just try and stick with it...sounds like you are doing really well. You are shaming me with your regular running, i keep meaning to get back into it but failing to do so, i find it hard to get my bum out of the door in winter!!

Donbean · 27/11/2006 14:58

oooh so far so good, im bieng very very good......pray it continues xxx

I went - and lost 2lb!!!

Actually should confess that I WEIGHED my trousers before deciding whether to go in my work trousers or my usual weighing-in outfit. There was 2oz less in the work trousers so I wore those. NUTTER!!!

I'm going to staff swimming club on Thursday lunchtime. I hate swimming as a form of exercise but there will be four of us there doing WW so it's kind of a good incentive.

Well done everyone! This seems to have been a positive week. I have to laugh at your trousers SueW. This weight loss is a funny thing. Most of us never know what to expect at weigh in. We think we have done something to sabotage the loss and then it turns out better than expected. I suppose it works the other way as well. Dior, I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and use soup a lot more. It seems to be a good low point way (and healthy) of filling up thus keeping lots of points for evening meal. Best of luck everybody.

5lb off since my last visit to this thread Xmas party this Saturday so hope I look fab in the dress. Also discovered the scales I've been using at the gym read at least a stone overweight for most people! Hurrah - the easiest stone I've ever lost!

Well done everyone, only 4 weeks to go until Xmas then we can all splurge for a week before going back to lettuce leaves and water in January

LynnC · 30/11/2006 09:24

well done everyone and sure you will look gorgeous in your dress EvoGirl, have a good night.

Well Dior I think I need to take your tips on the soup for a while - gained 1 1/2 lbs last night

hmm 1 lb off thats all.
Gutted.
I look thinner, my clothes are looser, my tummy is flatter and i feel like ive lost 3-4 lbs.
Have stuck to my points, trackered every morsel.......must be that damned scampi and half portion of chips!!!!!!
Ok, going to really go for it this week. Need to have 5 lbs off for Christmas.

LynnC · 30/11/2006 14:20

Thats fantastic Dior, well done - and dont say sorry - its good to hear everyone else doing well, in a funny way it keeps me motivated.

I cant remember the last time I filled in my tracker and know thats where Ive went wrong so as soon as I get home I will fill it out and hopefully get to post a big next week instead of my like today.

Sorry to hear your unwell but make sure you eat enough to keep your strength up - time for your soup me thinks! take care
