Welcome to thread 13 of the Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin weight loss system.

The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded friendly support system are:

1. Eat what you WANT
2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. After all, eating a meal is not a competition, it's about enjoying what you are putting into your mouth, but not feeling bloated and uncomfortable (or guilty) afterwards!
Many people have issues around food. Many of us have been brought up by the 'clear your plate' parents of yesteryear which leave us feeling guilty if we leave even the smallest morsel of food, but we are working through this guilt or any other hang up we may have, and we are learning to leave a bit on the plate; return to it another time if we really want to or even feed it to the dog or the bin!
So!! forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!! Let's get lighter for those Christmas outfits!!

The Paul McKenna system really works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

You don't have to buy the book and CD, but we have found that they do help and somehow they keep you on track, so it would probably be a good investment and will cost you far less than a couple of trips to WW or SW meetings, so do consider having them in your life.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry and that is a great way to feel when you are dropping dress sizes at the same time!!! so come on in and start living your new life today and make 2013 your year to drop a dress size or several...if we can get those lbs off a few at a time, just think how we could look and feel for Christmas and The New Year!!!
Some of our thread members are also doing PMK's Virtual Gastric Band and although this thread is not about this avenue, we will still be supportive of our friends partaking of this, so don't think we wont be there for you. I'm pretty sure that the Golden Rules will be just as helpful in this process as the I Can Make You Thin process :) so get stuck in :)

We'll I have lost 7 lbs. I rebooted before Christmas and have really been conscious about it. For instance instead of two slices of bread and bacon I have just one bread and once piece bacon. So half a bacon sandwich basically. Then for lunch I might have a ham salad on small plate or half a chicken sandwich and dinner is meat and veg or salad etc but I have small plate and usually still don't eat it all. Clothes are noticeably looser. Smile

MillyRules · 07/01/2014 12:05

I'm still eating whatever I want but because I'm doing PM really strictly and am in the zone, I just don't eat a lot.

NoGoodAtWittyNames · 07/01/2014 12:51

That's fantastic Milly well done!

MillyRules · 07/01/2014 13:30

Thanks. I think something just clicked and once I saw a pound or two come off I didn't want to regain them so took myself in hand and started really concious eating. Didn't eat much over Christmas either so that helped. Smile

brandnewiggi · 07/01/2014 13:35

By rebooting, do you just mean re-reading the book or is there something else?

That sounds really hard, Witty, though I suppose getting to the root of things ultimately leads to recoverty - I'm ordering the book and will take your advice about reading it on board!

NoGoodAtWittyNames · 07/01/2014 15:03

That's what I'm hoping BrandNew! The first 5 days look quite intense too, you have to watch the 20 minute havening DVD every day, listen to the trance (a different one from ICMYT) and listen to a cd every time you eat which at first I thought is going to be impossible! But now i'm thinking its just going to take some planning. I'm thinking havening and listening to the trance right before bed and then just play the eating cd out loud at every meal, which means DC and DH are going to have to listen too, but only other alternative is to eat alone or with headphones on which is never going to work. And I'm sure it will give DH plenty of ammo to take the mick, but it'll be worth it in the end! There are also 5 additional exercises which are optional but advised, so I'm thinking for them I may set my alarm to get up before everyone else to do those. I am determined to make this work and banish my food demons once and for all - 2014 will be my year

Yay! at weight loss and loose clothing! well done.

I think emotions, memories and food are very closely linked.

Not been too bad today. Oh yes. 3lbs off since Saturday.

Well done Solo.Smile

ALittleFaith · 08/01/2014 09:33

Great stuff solo!

You sound very positive witty!

Well I'm back at work now Confused. Gone back part time so not so bad. I actually think it'll be good for me food wise - no time to snack at work and I do eat when I'm hungry. Also I'm very physically active while I'm there. I am trying to make healthy choices but not 'diet'. This morning I fancied eggy bread and thought Oh no I can't but then thought Why not?. Faithlet and I both enjoyed it!

Solo · 08/01/2014 10:16

That's excellent news HALF why not indeed!! :) glad things seem to be getting better, you sound better iyswim :)

OP posts:
MillyRules · 08/01/2014 11:27

Agree with Solo you sound in a more positive place Faith and your doing really well. Yay!!

NoGoodAtWittyNames · 08/01/2014 12:39

Well done Solo that's fantastic!

Faith sounds like you're back in the zone, loving your food choices! Hope work goes ok, it's nice to get back into the adult world again and at least being part time you'll still have plenty of quality time with Faithlet - best of both worlds Grin

Well it's only day 2 of FFEE and it might just be fluke, but have lost all interest in food when not hungry. Before I would always be second guessing if I was actually hungry and always be fancying food, now I have a clear understanding of when I'm hungry and when I'm not, and when I'm not I'm totally indifferent to food. Seriously hope this is my mind being re-programmed and not just a one off, because I could definitely get used to this! Freedom from food demons at last!

MillyRules · 08/01/2014 14:22

Well done Ladies....another pound off for me. Just had a delicious half a bacon sandwich with ketchup. First meal of the day. Am planning on homemade chicken and white wine pie top for dinner with lots of veg.

MillyRules · 08/01/2014 14:26

Brand-new rebooting as in restarting and re inserting band.Smile

NoGoodAtWittyNames · 08/01/2014 15:46

Jellybeans456 · 08/01/2014 19:59

Loads on here for me to catch up with. Well done Milly on your losses, you are really in the zone.

NoGood, that book sounds great, and seems to be working for you too.

I've not done too good, last couple of days. Lots of emotional eating going on.

Just feel like snacking chocolate to feel better. Hubby has just set me off, with his moaning.

Keep up the good work everyone, as this all shows it works if being done properly.

Solo · 09/01/2014 00:44

Come on Jelly, you can do it too! you really can.

Tell Dh to bang up bog off! Wink ahem!

Have just eaten breakfast whilst reading this thread on my phone Hmm that's not allowed is it!

MillyRules · 09/01/2014 09:17

We'll real life does get in the way of conscious eating sometimes but eventually you will be able to tune into yourself anywhere.

BrandNewIggi · 09/01/2014 10:32

Thanks Milly, I don't think I'm trying hard enough tbh.

BrandNewIggi · 09/01/2014 10:34
