Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Happy Easter everyone. An really struggling this week. On 2nd course of antibiotics for a chest infection so walking less (I sound like I smoke 60 a day) and really craving carbs. Using a few of my weeklies every day but at least have avoided the Easter eggs Smile

Fully expect to have at least gained or a best sts this weekBlush

DebussyHead · 31/03/2013 20:17

Happy Easter all! Does anyone know how many points are in a Lindt Lindor ball? Mum gave us a box for Easter and I love them but can't find any nutritional info and bet they are loads!!

Thechick · 31/03/2013 21:42

I fell off the ww wagon big time. I ate prob about 12 points worth of chocolate and had a roast and then ice cream and brownies for afters!! I've been so good since I started!! Don't even know how to start tracking!!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 31/03/2013 23:55

---

^ that's my crunchie line. Tomorrow I'm going back to real life, proper food and tracking points. HD meatballs for tea after a five mile run. Weigh in is Friday and I have a lot to undo. Confused

AddictedtoCrunchies · 01/04/2013 08:50

I've put the HD pps on the weigh in spreadsheet. Here

This thread has been quiet over the weekend, hoping that's just because it was family time and everyone was scoffing chocolate as this is my lifeline [busmile]

Back to normal for me today - a sneaky weigh in shows a 2lb gain (on the old scales) which, added to Friday's official gain of 1lb means I've got some work to do before Friday.

Have a great day all.

Doretaball · 01/04/2013 12:05

Morning. Shock weigh in for me this morning. Am another 2lb down! I haven't tracked at all this week but have been trying to eat sensibly. I don't feel like I deserved a loss and am putting it down to my little one feeding so much this week. She's 20lb, 5.5 months old and we haven't started weaning yet so she's feeding every 2.5 hours through the day and twice at night.
I'm away this week so will just try and stick to good eating principles and try and STS.
Will get back on the wagon properly in a couple of weeks time when my OH goes back to work (teacher).
Good luck to everyone this week with all the choc hanging around. I'm lucky this year, just a couple of tiny eggs for DD and some mini eggs so not too much temptation.

Doretaball · 01/04/2013 12:08

Meant to say, don't forget that Easter is a tricky time weight wise ( like Christmas) so whilst we all feel like we're being a bit naughty, I'm sure if we compare what we would have eaten before starting WW, we're actually doing really well.

OhTheConfusion · 01/04/2013 12:08

Afternoon Everyone,
Well there have been a few slips of the waggon this weekend... but today is a new day so get pointing! [bugrin]

I had malteasers (around 14pp worth [bublush]) so I would probably have been as well having a blooming Easter egg instead! I am however still within my pp's and off on a 5 mile walk. Just hoping I see a difference on the scales this week.

Baby confusion has a rotten cold... cleaning her nose is enough to put anyone off their food!!!

OhTheConfusion · 01/04/2013 12:12

Exactly Doretaball, even when we have been 'bad' we are still doing much better than before!!!

onthemetro · 01/04/2013 13:15

I had rather a lot of chocolate over the weekend, it ended in DP and I making flapjacks at about 11pm last night...which was naughty as though it turned out to be 9pp I didn't have any points left at all, not even weeklies. Oops.

Back on it today though, about to go out for my first c25k run. Wish me luck!

onthemetro · 01/04/2013 20:13

C25k wasn't too bad, It was tough in places but definitely doable. We'll see how that changes in the upcoming weeks! It earned me 1 activity point according to my pedometer that was switched to active move Smile

onthemetro · 01/04/2013 20:13

Mode**

poorpaws · 01/04/2013 20:24

OhTheConfusion - I'm not good with ppts or money so it's not too good here at the moment.

Wi fri and I've got very few weekly ppts left and at least one meal out (better be salad I think). I was good the week before and now I'm cross with myself for ruining it all, oh b!

mrssmartarse · 01/04/2013 23:10

Finally got my Internet working!! Confused

Looks like easter was messy for all of us! Lol I used all my weeklies on a bottle or 2 of baileys and a shitload of chocolate!Wink

Looks like I'm gonna have to climb Ben Nevis to offset some of these points! Blush

Good luck to everyone next WI Smile x

InvaderZim · 02/04/2013 10:16

Hello everyone, maybe it seems silly to join in so close to the end of a thread, but oh well. :)

I've just rejoined WW to finally get around to getting to goal. I did it post-pregnancy and lost 2.5 stone (oh, those BFing points, how I miss you) and then I got bored. Hmm

Luckily I didn't gain any weight over the year and a half I was off WW (woohoo!) so I'm starting at 12.7 stone and I'm hoping to make it to the top of my BMI good ange at 11.10 stone - I have wide shoulders and hips so this is actually reasonably thin for me. Grin

backinaminute · 02/04/2013 12:41

Hi Invader, welcome. Sounds like you did really well and it's good to hear you kept it off.

We are a friendly thread and lots of us use the Hairy Dieters (HD) cookbook.

I think I've survived the weekend and kept within my points. Tracked and kept count and so it should all be ok. I'm a bit fed up today and have the urge to 'pick'. I've got a cold and both Dses aren't too great. Usually I'm busy in the mornings but today seems to be dragging and I'm thinking about eating.

I agree with Chrunchie. This thread has been quiet over the weekend. I think we've probably lost a few people. I'm the same though, this thread is my lifeline.

Think I'm going to cook the HD chicken and ham pie for tea. I roasted a chicken yesterday and had it with ratatouille so might use up the left overs.

The house is still heaving with chocolate. DP isn't that fussed about it (naturally thin and not greedy like me Grin) and Ds1 has only just turned 2 and Ds2 is 4 months so not really in a position to polish them off for me..... Ds1 has been bought so much - I think he thinks he world is coming to an end the way I'm foisting chocolate on him. He looks utterly confused that I'm not trying to sell him apples at snack time and suggesting Easter eggs instead. I figure he just has to 'take one for the team' and get rid of them for me Grin

jazzcat28 · 02/04/2013 13:35

Hi Invader! Lovely to have another newbie join as this thread approaches its third development! We have lost lots between us all and I find this thread very motivating.

We have a recipe thread here and we also have a spreadsheet to track losses here The amazing Crunchie has typed up all the points values for every recipe in the HD book and put them on there too. Fanks Crunchie Thanks

I've been visiting family this weekend so not much time to MN, but I'm back now so have no fear!! I was very good and pointed everything I ate and drank and look like I should make it to WI on Saturday morning within points. I do have a big night out planned Friday which would normally ruin a WI but I'm cutting right back on how much I drink this month as DH and I ttc for the first time.

I would really love to lose half a stone by the end of the month as that will make 2st lost since we started in January. I still need to lose another 2st to be in my healthy BMI range but who knows whats in store for my body over the next few months!

Today my food looks like this:

All day - 350ml skimmed milk (3pp)

Breakfast - 30g porridge oats (3pp) made with splash of milk from allowance and water, 1tsp golden syrup (0pp)

Lunch - omlette made with 2 eggs, 2 rashers of bacon, mushrooms, and 20g cheddar cheese (9pp)

Dinner - 1 portion HD meatballs (6pp) with 60g dried pasta (6pp)

I made the bacon and butternut squash recipe I put on our thread last night and have 3 portions at 6pp each in tubs ready to take to work for lunch this week

jazzcat28 · 02/04/2013 13:39

P.S. I am using extra lean mince for the HD meatballs which makes the portions 6pp each instead of 7pp each as listed in the spreadsheet values

AddictedtoCrunchies · 02/04/2013 13:47

I'd love to take the credit but I simply copied and pasted them Smile.

Glad to see people coming back. Was worried I'd be all alone on the thread.

I just went to bloody McDonalds and it didn't end well Sad

onthemetro · 02/04/2013 16:42

Jazz your day sounds lovely! I really want to try the HD meatballs at some point, I must remember to do it the next time I buy mince instead of just making huge batches of bolognese which is what I usually do. I love extra lean mince, the bolognese DP usually makes 3pp less when we buy extra lean mince instead of the Tesco value stuff we usually buy which is probably full of horse anyway

Welcome invader! Well done on not gaining any weight back, I've often heard people say that maintaining is the most difficult part of losing weight! This thread is lovely and has been a great support and source of inspiration to me Smile
It does seem that we've lost a few people though which is a shame but life has a habit of getting in the way of MNing sometimes Grin

Crunchie, what did you have from McDs? And was it nice? Don't dwell on how 'bad' it is Flowers

fledtoscotland · 02/04/2013 17:30

Well it's not been a great week here Blush I've been snacking too much and picking which is my downfall. On the plus side, I haven't given in to the chocolate lure DHs aunt has put in my cupboard as she gave DC 5eggs EACH so fingers crossed I should have STS at tomorrow mornings weigh in

fledtoscotland · 02/04/2013 17:30

Meant to say have tracked everything and only used 20 of my weeklies

AddictedtoCrunchies · 02/04/2013 17:52

I had a chilli chicken wrap and small fries. Seem to have really lost my motivation. Maybe a day of not worrying about it will help.

OhTheConfusion · 02/04/2013 18:17

Well I have finally broken the 1st stone barrier!!! For the first time in a very long time my weight begins with a 13... although it also ends with a 13.5lbs Wink.

DH is off this week so we have been eating out a lot more than usual but I have stuck to the healthiest options possible. We are off to Glasgow tomorrow to spend the morning on the Tall Ship and the afternoon in the museum so I have went and got stuff for a 'packed lunch' (well... sandwiches, fruit and water) and pre-cooked tomorrow nights dinner to keep me on track and save me ending up in Nandos Blush. I have promised DH and the DC's they can have coffee (milkshakes) and cake in the cafe after lunch.... I will have tea!

Had HD cod in parma ham last night... YUMMY!!! We added 100g of quartered and boiled charlotte potatoes to the oven with the veg and roasted them alongside. 7pp for a really lovely and filling meal.

How is everyone finding the lighter nights? I am awake later and want to eat more Blush.

jazzcat28 · 02/04/2013 19:15

Well I'm not impressed with the HD meatballs Sad they fell to pieces whilst cooking and the sauce wasn't that tasty IMO. DH makes a fab meatball recipe by Jamie Oliver so shall stick to that in future.

I'm loving the lighter evenings...I'm getting more uni work done and it makes me smile to get home from work when it's still light

DH and DBro are cooking up a curry feast tomorrow. I'm planning on having my WW size portion of boiled rice plus HD prawn curry which ive cooked at least 5 times now and love to bits
