Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Fled, foot still up your ass just in case you were thinking of slacking.

I lost half a pound YAY. I must come clean and say I really don't deserve that small loss or any loss come to that. My friend who ate the same as me gained one and half pounds.

Well done all, you are totally amazing.

We discussed the Lindt bunny at 76 ppts and I asked my leader if I could have mine all in WW bars (thats a lotta ww bars).

Ive been on 26 ppts for 18 months now and it really isn't many especially for a chocoholic at Easter. Does anyone else think that the smaller easter eggs seem very cheap (and so tempting) this year?

I cant stop thinking of Lindt bunnies.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 22/03/2013 21:05

I went to Jamies Italian for tea Blush

I made the best choices I could without eating dust.

Bruschetta then grilled chicken with chips then ice cream. So not too bad Hmm

Two lots of netball tomorrow plus a 10k Sunday so should be ok. Wink

onthemetro · 22/03/2013 22:07

DP had a small Easter egg for 12pp recently, that's not too bad especially if you have it over 2 evenings.

I feel like I've had more than my fair share of eating crap this week so am sitting here with a banana and camomile and maple tea even though there are Mars bars in the hous. I'm feeling all angelic Grin

mylittlecherub · 22/03/2013 22:27

Hello, wondering if I could join? Been reading your thread for a little while now and finding it very motivating, especially if I have a quick read before I head to the kitchen for a mindless snack, you've all stopped me a few times! ;-)

I started ww last September (meetings) and have nearly lost 2 stone, got another 2 to go but seems to be slowly does it, at least it's heading in the right direction, would like to be slim for summer :D

Think I might have to purchase the hd book, sounds really good!

jazzcat28 · 23/03/2013 07:16

Morning all! Well according to my mum's digital scales I've lost another 4lb! Not quite sure whether to believe it but have recorded it online anyway. So now I've lost 20lb in total since start of 2013. Getting incredibly close to weighing in the 13st bracket a la Crunchie and can't wait! Smile

Welcome mylittlecherub! I find this thread a lifesaver too - every time I weigh in I go online to update my WW account and the next window I open is to come on here and tell this lot!

Now that WI is out of the way for the weekend I fear much wine and naughty food shall be consumed, hopefully my leader will believe me next Saturday that I actually lost weight as I will probably put it all on again before she sees me next Confused

onthemetro · 23/03/2013 09:41

Welcome cherub, and well done on your loss so far!
And well done on the loss jazzcat Grin

My meeting today has been cancelled thanks to the snow, so have weighed in at home and have apparently lost a pound...hmm not sure I believe my scales so will wait and see what happens next week!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 23/03/2013 11:00

TMI alert

Just having a bit of a naked prance in front of the mirror and I really think my thunder thighs are shrinking you know? It's hard to tell but they definitely look slimmer...

My new umpiring skirt has just arrived and I've realised I've ordered a 16 instead of an 18.....and it's white so hides NOTHING!! Going to try it on in a minute so fingers crossed it doesn't look too vile if not I'll wear my old one

Welcome mylittlecherub - this thread becomes your conscience Smile (the more I look at conscience the more I think I've spelled it incorrectly but I'm sure it's right Confused)

Supposed to be running a 10k tomorrow morning. If the snow doesn't stop I'll be doing it in wellies!

Have a great day all. HD lemon and thyme chicken for tea. Smile

CiderwithBuda · 23/03/2013 12:07

Hi all. I am still here. Still sticking to it although not posted for a few days.

I need to point what I ate yesterday (and drank) but I suspect I now have no weeklies left! I have been SO hungry the last few days. I have tried to stick to healthy stuff but have still been hungry. I suspect it is the rubbish weather.

And I haven't been out for my run as it has been so wet here when I could go. I am such a fair-weather exerciser!

Need to do something today. Am currently catching up on here with a cuppa and then need to put some washing on, make up bed, vacuum and wash utility room floor, unload dishwasher and tidy/clean kitchen. Then DS wants to make brownies. I might either go for my run after that lot or walk into town. Will see what weather is like.

Oh I also need to make HD golden veg soup for lunch and marinade the chicken for HD Masala chicken for dinner tonight. I don't bother with a whole chicken as per the recipe just boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Will have with the cumin roast veg.

Crunchie - well done on getting to the 13s. That is great!

We are away next weekend. It is going to be so hard to stick to WW. Staying with friends we haven't seen for ten years for first 3 nights, then a night with DH's old boss and his wife. She is from Pakistan originally and cooks the most amazing food. Then a night with MIL on the way back which will probably involve a meal out. Back home for 3 nights and then off to Dublin for almost a week. Aargh! I'll miss 2 meetings.need to be a bit in control over the Easter break but Dublin should be ok. I'll be at my Dads so will take the HD book and cook from that for us both.

Right - off to sort my house out!

mylittlecherub · 23/03/2013 12:10

Good afternoon everyone!

Thanks for the welcome and well done to you all! It's fab to have a support network like this.

Having a good week so far and even got myself up this morning for a walk in the snow, dragging hubbie and little one along as well :) I believe my activity points should double with the effort it takes to push a pram in snow! Treating my self to a glass or two of cheeky vino tonight, at the parents for dinner. My mothers a pro weight watcher (been at goal for years) so it's a safe house for me to stick to the plan :D

I'm envious of all you runners, don't think I could run down my drive :S need to pick myself up and get into, keep finding excuses so far but need to give myself a good kick up the arse!

peachypips · 23/03/2013 13:07

Oh man. Major bugger-up of diet. Drank whole bottle wine last night and ate two pieces of toast. Now no points left and out for a birthday meal tonight. sad

peachypips · 23/03/2013 13:07

I meant Sad - hangover

MsIngaFewmarbles · 23/03/2013 14:33

I did the same peachy, DH had a glass but I quaffed the rest Blush

HD humus and carrot sticks for lunch and then the beef and ale casserole for tea which is smelling amazing in the oven for supper.

The thing I really love about WW is that all is not lost after last night's slip, I just need to be careful for the rest of the week.

Happy slimming!

chillyigloo · 23/03/2013 20:14

Crunchie I've had a similar eureka moment - I just saw my ribs!!!!!!

I had a shower, reached up to lower the nozzle holder thingy and in the process, caught sight of some still very well covered by a layer of blub bumpy lines in the mirror that were, indeed, my ribs!

I am now re-convinced that ww is the way to go!

Thanks

(PS I don't know why I didnt believe you all and save myself the time, but you're right - HD definitely missed something from their paprika chicken recipe. It's the 1st one I haven't loved Hmm)

poorpaws · 23/03/2013 22:08

Trying to be so good tonight. Our wi meeting is cancelled next week cos its Good Friday and the venue place is closed. I had this bright idea that with 2 whole weeks to my next wi I could work miracles and absolutely amaze everyone at the meeting. Day 1 so far and done ok but have come on here for support cos my willpower is taking a nose dive.

Aww this is getting harder by the day and I'm still dreaming/thinking/obsessing over Lindt bunnies.

chillyigloo · 23/03/2013 22:23

Poor Poorpaws. Lindt bunnies are evil.

They are actually mean hares pretending to be friendly bunnies. Turn your mind to malteaser mini bunnies instead. Kind little fluffy 2pp-for-one-or-3pp-for-two lolloping rabbits.

Grin.

chillyigloo · 23/03/2013 22:24

((Had another whole punnet of grapes today - eek!))

Doretaball · 23/03/2013 22:43

I've completely messed up since my run on Tuesday. Basically I've eaten pizza and Easter eggs all week swilled down with wine! Am so cross with myself. Then had a Chinese tonight to top it off! Need a fruit and veg day tomorrow. Can't even go for a run as DP has to work tomorrow so I have the girls all day by myself. Please may I have a Crunchie line and one of those kicks up the backside that ate doing the rounds?!

SallyBear · 24/03/2013 07:48

I belong to a cooking group on FB, and this week's challenge is baking with yeast. So I rise to the challenge yesterday as all the snow didn't exactly make me want to rush off out. I made Chelsea Buns, which are delicious but oh boy they are at 6pp each! I ate two over the course of the day, which of course took me into my weeklies. Thankfully I have WI tomorrow and 25 weeklies left plus dailies. The question is, do I blow the lot, or just carry on eating as normal?

OP posts:
AddictedtoCrunchies · 24/03/2013 08:38

__ Doretaball Today's a new day. Reset and restart.

I'm not feeling the love for my 10k race this morning as it's -1 outside.

Doretaball · 24/03/2013 09:05

Thank you Crunchie. Good luck today!

Sally, I tend not to deliberately eat to use up my weeklies as I am trying to view this as a lifestyle change and trying to eat as more 'normal' people do. Those 'normal' people (whoever they are!) wouldn't eat something unless they were hungry.

But if there was a spare Chelsea bun and I really, really fancied it and it was within my weeklies, I'd eat it, because I assume that is what these 'normal' people would do too!

Good luck today everybody. I've got the challenge of MIL roast which is always yummy. At least she just puts the food on the table and you can take what you want rather than dishing up onto plates. Will try to fill up on veg and meat and not leave much room on the plate for the roasties!

fledtoscotland · 24/03/2013 09:35

Well was v on track all day yesterday until tea time Blush had a choc chip muffin at 12pts and then finished off the choc raspberry things left over from Mother's Day taking me 11pts into my weeklies

In general I am eating far less and snacking less but goal seems a lifetime away

SallyBear · 24/03/2013 10:38

I won't eat 25pp in weeklies today in top if my 32. That really is gluttony in my eyes! I don't always use up my weeklies. I know that you are supposed to, but some weeks I get through having only used 60% of them.

OP posts:
onthemetro · 24/03/2013 11:06

DP and I had a mooch around Tesco last night pointing up every treat we liked the look of...ended up with a slice of Finest white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake for 10pp... So good, and I'm starting to think its worth it to have one good quality, quite high in points treat instead of like 5 2pp things that aren't as great and leave me feeling like I've binged.

This is sort of going against what i just said, but...We also found Fabulous Baking Boys mini raspberry cupcakes and they are 1pp each or 3pp for two Blush There are 12 in the pack, they are individually wrapped and look lovely, they're probably tiny though. I haven't had any yet, but I'm going to try my hardest to just have one...

Like Dore said, I want to be like 'normal' people and not go mad just because its there. I've been saying this for a while but I really need to work on this!

STIDW · 24/03/2013 14:59

Well I'm really hungry this afternoon. I meant to have a potato pancake, eggs and bacon for brunch but ate two potato pancakes and no egg instead so that was higher in carbs and lower in protein.

I don't use any of my weeklies and have them set at zero unless I'm on holiday. When there is a special occasion I only use activity points but don't use them regularly.

Off to the gym now to distract myself from hunger for the next couple of hours.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 24/03/2013 15:12

Can't believe it. Not only did I run a 10k in the freezing cold. I cracked my hour target..Grin Grin Grin

59 mins 51 secs.

An so bloody chuffed with myself. Just wish I could get my legs warm now - does anyone else find their 'fat' bits get very cold?
