Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Well I am back from my WI and I've lost 2lbs which means in total, since 7th Jan, I have lost 2 stones(!!!!!!!) 1lb so 29lbs in total. I am so pleased. I've managed to negotiate Ds1s birthday this week and still hit it. Hurrah!!

This means I am now in the 12s too.

Also I bought a skirt in a size14 today. From m&s so generous sizing but hey! I was squeezing into size 18s three months ago.

All in all a good day for Backinaminute and WW (shit shit shit day for lots of other boring DP and his work related reasons but I am going to celebrate this little achievement with you guys). Grin

I just completely made up the broccoli and fake blue cheese soup - please amend quantities to taste but this is what I did:

Fry off some onion in Frylight (could use an oil spray but that would add a pp to the recipe (I used about a handful of frozen diced onion). Add some crushed garlic (I used half a tsp of lazy garlic) when the onion has softened and continue cooking for 1 minute. Add broccoli (I used one big 'head' of broccoli and some boiling water or stock. I used boiling water and added a chicken oxo cube. Boil for about 4mins (till it's cooked but still bright green) and blitz (I used a hand stick blender). Boil to reduce and thicken if you realise you've misjudged the quantity of water (Blush). Then add salt and pepper and laughing cow blue cheese flavour to taste. I put 4 in (3pp) with the view that it would be two portions and it easily was but I wolfed two big bowl fulls and that was the end of that.

It was super quick and easy and tasted really good.

Fantastic weight loss! You are an inspiration. I am stagnating at the moment, but there's been a lot going on and my head isn't really in the game. But I still read the thread to keep up with you all xx

I had the most amazing butternut squash risotto last night - I will try to put the recipe on the thread later when I've dragged myself out of bed

DH and I have officially started TTC so not sure how much longer I'll be on this thread - until that bfp I'm gonna keep at it though! I am loving the feeling of fitting better in my clothes and hope I can shed at least another 8-10lb so I can get into the 13st bracket again.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 29/03/2013 09:29

Jazzcat you can't leave!! This isn't a diet it's a way of life so you can follow it even while TTC!! Smile

jazzcat28 · 29/03/2013 10:10

Crunchie have no fear I'm sticking to it while shagging for Britain Grin

Hoping that losing weight + lots of bedroom activity = baby?!?

MrsRudyRudpoo · 29/03/2013 10:45

Hi all, another 2lbs off this week, also hit my 10%. Very pleased! Dreading this weekend as going to Mils for a carb laden feast, it's dd's birthday too as well as all the bloody easter eggs!
I seriously have no will power whatsoever when it comes to not eating unhealthy stuff if it's in the house. Have been making up party bags for dd's friends and had some snack size cadburys bars and haribos left over,i have been having some nearly every day and can't stop thinking about them! I was fine with avoiding sweets when they weren't in the kitchen calling me!
My emergency meal is tuna pasta (fry onion, garlic, add chopped toms and half can of tuna) and i also always have zero point butternut squash soup made up in the fridge for when i'm feeling peckish.

jazzcat28 · 29/03/2013 12:31

Well done MrsRudy!! 2lb is fab and 10% is a milestone I'm hoping to reach this week too.

The bacon and butternut squash risotto I had last night is now on the recipe thread here I'd really recommend it - low point, tasty and served with salad was really filling!

chillyigloo · 29/03/2013 15:53

Good Friday = Compulsory baking of Hot Cross buns in my house.

The fresh-out-the-oven smell wafting through the house was too much to resist and I ate 3 in one sitting. = approx 18pp. [bublush]

I wallowed in guilt for about an hour, then thought 'sod it' ... That's what weeklies are for. WW may retract the 2nd silver 7 I achieved last week when I go to weigh in on Tuesday but frankly, I don't care! They were bloomin' delicious!

backinaminute · 29/03/2013 20:08

Just wanted to share today's exciting ww find - Tesco finest pizzas are between 10 and 15 points for half a pizza. I've just had half a salami picante (or something like that) for 15 points. Yum yum! Grin

inquisitivemummy · 29/03/2013 20:27

Still didnt get weighed this week so not good and we are off Monday cause of Easter so missin 2 weeks.

Gonna be hard this weekend, cause its Easter an my birthday on Sunday so havin b day drinks an party, but goin on lots of day trips so hopefully walk it off!

Well done on the losses everyone! Since this is a lifestyle change can still do we if preggers?

inquisitivemummy · 29/03/2013 20:30

Sory was meant to say can you still do ww if ur preggers

Doretaball · 30/03/2013 09:15

Hello. I'm back! Busy week and not been tracking but have been eating WW style so am hoping to have STS or lost a little on Monday.

Some great losses going on, well done.

I don't think you can officially be on WW when you're pregnant but if I was pregnant again I would try and follow it to ensure that I had some healthy days in amongst the days when you just HAVE to eat all day!

I found that pregnancy did such funny things to my weight. I put on about a stone in my first 4 months when I was continually vomiting and lived on ready salted crisps and cornflakes. But when I went back on to eating proper meals( plus lots if cake, chocolate and icecream) I only put on another stone including all the baby etc! What I'm trying to say is that you may not be able to realistically track your weight! Did anyone else have a similar experience?

SallyBear · 30/03/2013 09:25

I lost weight each time. My weight increased by 10 pounds during pregnancy but after I had given birth my weight was 2.5 stone under my usual lardy weight. Didn't take me long to pack it all back on. I didn't have a single day of sickness just ate what I wanted. I had twins 5wks prem 6lbs and 4lbs, then a boy at 38wks 8lbs and another boy at 41wks 8.5lbs.

jazzcat28 · 30/03/2013 10:32

Well I weighed in this morning and compared to my last 'proper' weight at WW I have lost 1lb (2 weeks ago). Which isn't bad considering the partying I did last weekend.

Am off to stay with parents this weekend who are fully on board my WW journey - mum is cooking HD recipes for us all weekend so I can point it!

Re pregnancy and WW, the T&Cs on the back of my record card say that as soon as you find out your pregnant you should stop and you can only restart once baby is 6 weeks old and your GP/midwife writes to say it's ok to resume

I don't think I'll continue if and when I get my BFP, but until then, I'm trying my hardest to lose as much as I can!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 30/03/2013 12:48

I need a kick up the arse please. I ate a whole Lindt bunny last night. The one about 6" tall. They're about a million pp aren't they?

I did run five miles this morning though. But then ate two hot cross buns, a bacon sandwich and a creme egg. Sad

Help me. Give me your best telling off. I've lost 11lbs so far and I'm scared it's all going to go wrong now. But I can't regain control. Bloody Easter chocolate Sad Sad

onthemetro · 30/03/2013 16:17

In the little magazine they give you in group it says a Lindt bunny is 30pp, not sure on the size but I think that's the big one! I had two blueberry muffins today, I don't even know why I had the second one, 16pp down the drain! Ah well Hmm

Lost 1.5lbs today at WI, reached a stone lost in total, as did DP so that was nice. But today has so far been a bit of a disaster, going to try and redeem myself with bolognese made with extra lean mince later...

Happy Easter everyone!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 30/03/2013 16:38

I've just bought some new scales as mine only weighed in whole pounds and I wanted to know half pounds.

Weighed on the old - 14.0
Weighed on the new - 14.4.6

So now I have a dilemma. Using the new ones I will need to lose 4.6lbs this week just to sts! I thought weight was a definite thing, how can it be so different Confused

OhTheConfusion · 30/03/2013 19:12

The 100g Lindt bunny is 30pp's.... the 500g one is 76pp's!!!!!
I am trying so had to avoid Easter eggs, but it really is easier said than done. I am about to make honeycombe and bunny marshmallow traybake and mini egg and cornflake tray bake with the kids Hmm.

Just finished a huge walk (around 7miles) with the family... I rewarded myself with a scone and tea Blush and about to have curry (HD!!!) for dinner with brown rice. I still have 39 weeklies left but having given up alcohol for lent I know what they are being spent on Wink.

Crunchie, that's rubbish about the scales... I don't know what I would do Confused.

OhTheConfusion · 30/03/2013 19:14

P.s, I am 4lbs heavier on my mums scales than WW!!! I don't have scales at home (I need the weekly public shaming Blush).

AddictedtoCrunchies · 30/03/2013 19:34

It was 200g Blush

OhTheConfusion · 30/03/2013 19:43

Don't Panic Crunchie... I made a typo! A 200g Lindt bunny is 30pp's!!! [bugrin]

AddictedtoCrunchies · 30/03/2013 21:24

phew. thought that was 60pp down the swanny. although think I'm knackered however you look at it. Sad

never mind, tomorrow's another day of roast pork, cheesecake and more bloody chocolate

poorpaws · 30/03/2013 22:27

I made a 3 portion size chilli con carne earlier. I ate it and it was quite nice until I pointed it later, at least 15 ppts (without rice or pasta etc). Another lesson learned, point something before you make it and don't put so much red wine in it either.

OhTheConfusion · 31/03/2013 09:13

:-( Poorpaws, sadly a mistake we all make from time to time.
I have got into the habit of treating my PP's like money... if I don't have enough I can't have it [buwink].

backinaminute · 31/03/2013 09:48

Oh my God there is chocolate everywhere this morning!!!! Malteser eggs, mars eggs, thorntons, hundreds of just pop in your mouth mini little eggs and rabbits etc......

I'm frantically re-reading this thread for motivation. Out for tea too! I fear this may end badly........
