Hi all, I joined slimmig world yesterday as I finally ready and motivated to get this weight off. Anyone else? Is there a support thread for those following slimming world? As I couldn't see one on here. If not anyone interested in helping to support each other here?

Lost 5lbs Grin. I know some of it is water/week one-ness etc. but still feels good.

Chilli prawn linguine sounds good blondes. Is it on the website do you know? Planning quorn curry tonight, here's hoping that it's as good as a takeaway!?

Hello, another newbie to SW here. Really impressed so far (day 4) by how easy it is to eat well on this diet. I have 1.5 stone to lose and feel really enthusiastic and positive about the next few months. Still won't be back in my bikini for the summer though as the pregnancy that left me with 1.5 stone to spare also left me with stretch marks (sad).

This week's recipe of the week on the SW website is Chicken Katsu Curry. I made it tonight and it was delicious. Definitely a new family favourite for us.

I am a bit of a technophobe so please excuse this dumb question: if I join / like the SW Facebook page, will my friends see I've joined? I don't mind some of my friends knowing but definitely don't want to broadcast on Facebook.

Welcome heavenly and don't think so no as the one I'm on is a private group and you need to be added by someone in it so Is the same as other private groups I'm in.

Prawn linguine sounds gorgeous. Tonight's dinner is Thai salmon. That is baked salmon with lime leaves, lemon grass, garlic, chilli, ginger, and lime juice with plain rice and kale with chilli and peppers and soy sauce. All totally free on E E. not sure about the wine though.....

Can you access sw website without paying?

Report

I think you can see limited content without joining Penguin, a weeks worth of recipes etc Grin

I joined again on Thursday & am already struggling Hmm I had a really good day yesterday, but found myself being hungry all day. I went my friends house in the evening & took. Punnett of strawberries with me for a snack & ended up eating loads of crisps & crap.

I've just done a night shift and ended up eating marshmallows & I now feel really sick. I'm desperate to lose weight and I HAVE to lost at least 2 stone as my mum's paid for me to do a sky dive & I'm too fat to do it atm!

Does anyone else struggle like this? I know what to do, and how to do it, my self control is just crap Angry

Shsboom - you shouldn't be hungry on Sw - so many free foods

Maybe write down a days food for us and we can help you :)

Penguin if you google 'Slimming World Recipes' you should be able to access quite a lot on the SW site without needing to be a member.

HIya all, well done losers - (meant in the nicest possible way), i notice some mention EE - well the book i have and am following so far so good is original plan and green - i dont mind if its outdated and works but whats EE? Mine currently is the original or green with 2 or 3 hextras and upto 15 syns time programme? ..... woke up planning my tea tonight - dh was a bit Hmm as we hadnt even had breakfast. Just had a big fatty jacket spud with ww baked bens and a beetroot - museli for breakfast - dont feel hungry but my shopping has come and i fee a bit spoilt for choice.

Ths sw facebook i have been looking on is a public one so i havent commented or liked for fear of piss takers. A colleague advised mug shot cup a soupy things with noodles in on a green day - got some in chicken flavour for emergencies at work though as im on a greeny today i might have one tonight for me treat - rock n roll!

Good luck Blondes. I have had a couple of unexpected lunches out this week and found it the hardest bit - normal choice would have been fish cakes/lasagne/fish pie probably with chips or garlic bread followed by sticky toffee pud and custard Blush.

HeavenlyWineandRoses · 12/01/2013 15:40

Thanks blondes. Hope you find some good lunch options.

noyou, I am no expert, being an SW follower for just five days but EE means Extra Easy and is much less restrictive than the green and red diets. I think (but may very well be wrong) that any foods that are free on either red or green are always free on EE so you can have meat and pasta / potatoes / rice on one plate. Hope that makes sense.

What miserable weather outside! I am staying indoors today cooking up a syn-free storm.

waitress said to me what did i want, and i said anything low on sw - she laughed and said chicken and jacket/rice is what people tend to go for

bah bloody humbug

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2013 18:49

noyou yes ee is basically any carbs apart from bread - bread is bad on sw so pasta, rice, potato are free

and you can mix carbs with meat, unlike red meat, green carbs days - so can say have spag bol or roast dinner all free on ee

Report
noyouhavehadawee · 12/01/2013 18:59

Aaaa i see, think will just stick to the red and green so as not to confuse myself till i am more SW savvy. Tonight i had fish and chips sw styley with peas and one slice of bread - everybody seemed happy with it which helped then i had my yogurt and fruit dessert.
