I couldn't go near a roast while dieting. I dread to think how many calories are in one of mine. I tend to go the whole hog, goose fat roasties, yorkies, butter on the beans, butter under the chicken skin. :( I've still got a gorgeous leg of lamb in the freezer from a farm stay, but I think I will rub it in harissa and serve with couscous rather than do a roast.
I first weighed myself last monday when I started the c25k, and was 16st11. I weighed today - 16st3.
I've very happy, and I got back into a pair of jeans! I know it isn't sustainable at that level, but I am eating over 1200 a day and I do want to lose as much weight as I can before half term, then can ease up a bit.
I won a holiday so dh and I are off to Montréal for half term. Diet will prob go to pot there, but there is a gym and I will keep up the exercise at least. Plus a bit of winter sports, lots of walking.
