Having a bit of a nibbly day today. Thought i'd better do a bit of something before going to Balance tonight so i got on the treadmill and did 20 minutes of interval running - 1 min running, 1.30 mins recovering (i really did need to recover!!).

Think it's because i dont do the gym until the evening and tend to get a bit tetchy and nibbly on a Tuesday lol.

Here's hoping that tomorrow is a better day! :o

annieshaf · 13/03/2012 21:43

Hi all
Hope everyone is well and sorry I have not been on here for a while. I have added a couple of new names today so hope you now recognise my name!
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who is supporting me on MFP as it does make a difference.
Cinnamon - I rarely lose anything at totm but like you I usually lose well in the few days after and then nothing again for a few days. You really need to look at the trend over longer periods of time. Like you I can't avoid weighing myself everyday but I try not to get hung up on the day to day movements. If I have gone up then I just don't record it in MFP and only update when it goes below my previous recorded weight.
Ria hi hope you enjoyed your walk and that it makes you feel more positive. I find that every little bit of progress spurs me on so if you can start off small and then build it up as you start to make progress.
lollipop 3-600 below target is good is it not. Should help you lose faster and having one day when you go a bit higher is fine as it stops you going into starvation mode I believe. I have sent you a friend request on MFP.
monster welcome and thanks for accepting my invite. Well done on your loss so far. Not far to go to that magical first stone gone!
RG your exercise regime is inspiring but I don't think I could come close to matching it.
bexy hi I think you might be approaching starvation mode if you are consistently going so low. What is your target? If you are going that far below a target of 1200 then I think you should aim a bit higher. I don't think we are linked on MFP yet, is your name the same as on here?

I am currently still losing at about 2 Ibs a week and am about 4ibs off my initial goal weight which seemed completely unobtainable when i first started. However I am starting to think i should keep going a bit longer as my body fat is still around 30% and I still have lots of wobbly bits. I am aiming to be able to wear a bikini on holiday in June and whilst I have now invested in the bikini I don't think I would like to subject anyone to my still wobbly tummy! Is anyone else around 5' 4 and if so what is your target weight?

cinnamongreyhound · 13/03/2012 22:01

I'm 5'5" annieshaf and I'm aiming for 68Kg as that gets me into normal bmi range. I have lost 19kg total and have 8kg to go but feel I still have a lot of fat bits, will see how it goes as I get closer!

annieshaf · 14/03/2012 07:40

Thanks cinnamon and congrats for such a huge loss already! Reaching a normal bmi is a great feeling. Do I have you as a friend on MFP?

Am going for a run after I have dropped off the boys this morning but not feeling too good as totm is coming up so don't think I'll be breaking any records!
hope everyone has a good day and manages to stay away from the dreaded snacks!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/03/2012 11:21

Hi, you have all done so well with the weight loss. :)
Annieshaf thanks for adding me :)

trice · 14/03/2012 14:38

Some great successes here. I take my hat off to you cinnamongreyhound - 19kg is amazing!

whyme2 · 14/03/2012 14:50

hi everyone,

thanks for adding me annieshaf.
I am doing well and have even been gardening this afternoon so at least the front looks better and I didn't snack all afternoon either.

Monster I tried to add you but couldn't for some reason. I am heatherdrinkstea on mfp if you want another supporter.

I am going to weigh in either tomorrow or fri morning depending on what the scales say tomorrow. I have been making a real effort this week and doing loads of walking. I feel like I need to lose another stone before I can start doing anything more vigorous because my knees and hips will complain Blush
Went to get my bike from the shed but there was too much stuff on top of it so I will dig it out another day now.
Off to school now.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/03/2012 16:56

Thanks f.r trying whyme2 :) I have sent you a request.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/03/2012 16:57

random . in there Hmm for!

Rianoceros · 14/03/2012 22:12

who is who on MFP? I am Ria-something (?can't remember!) on RG's friends list. Feel free to add me. Smile

charlottery · 14/03/2012 22:16

hello, can I join you all? I'm cejones2 on mfp. I'm trying to lose the combined baby weight from 2 pregnancies (as I did absolutely nothing between them!) and its going OK so far (although only day 10) Just discovered the barcode scanner thing on the iPhone app, which is making the counting much easier.

BornToShopForcedToWork · 14/03/2012 23:11

Hi,

I am new to MFP and I was just wondering: How do you write down the shred as exercise?

jchocchip · 15/03/2012 07:44

Hello, just checking in. Feel free to add me on mfp. Cycled the 6 miles tWo work 3 days this week whick has made a huge difference to how I feel first thing at work. Hope it translates to a loss this week. I weigh every day and think there is a lag before weight comes off, I'm usually lighter after a rest day...

jchocchip · 15/03/2012 07:46

Shred is difficult to estimate because it depends how much weight you use and effort you put in. I used circuit training until got a hrm.

cinnamongreyhound · 15/03/2012 16:03

Thanks everyone! Yes we are annieshaf, my mfp name is my real name :)

Afraid I have no idea about Shredding, sounds like a very scary thing to do!!

Can't see RGPargy's friends list Rianoceros

MonsterBookOfTysons · 15/03/2012 17:30

I always put 30 day shred as circuit training.
Personally I think I lose hundreds more calories doing it then it says though Grin

RGPargy · 15/03/2012 22:46

Cinnamon - that's odd - we ARE friends on MFP aren't we? What's your MFP name? I get so confused as to who's who on there when we have different names on here too!! Blush

cinnamongreyhound · 16/03/2012 06:39

We are RGPargy but I can't see how to see your friends list. My MVP name is my full name maybe I should change it to my name here!!

bexsybooboo · 16/03/2012 07:08

Well what a load of pants grrrrr.

Have put a 1ib on Sad so not happy at all Sad

I have done all what I should have the last 2-3 weeks and I put a 1ib on one is not amused

Am unsure if it is PMT etc etc as take my pill continuously throughout the year, don't think its water retention as since drinking more and more water each day am weeing for England.

Am going to have to accept it this week but want MFP and exercise to know I am not happy.

So pissed off down as I seem to have been stuck on this stone bracket for ages and was only 1ib off from entering the 12 stone bracket which sounds so much nicer than the 13 stone bracket Angry

Right I am going to stop moaning now and go cry quietly in a corner and sulk somehwere.

Hope everyone else has good news as you've all worked really hard, good luck Smile

bexsybooboo · 16/03/2012 07:56

Ps I have opened my diary up on MFP it seems like a good idea at the moment but not sure Grin

Please let me know if you can view it as not sure I have done it right!! Wink

cinnamongreyhound · 16/03/2012 10:00

It really sucks bexsybooboo!!! I am always under my calories, run every other day and record absolutely everything I eat and yet I put on 500g this morning (I do weigh myself every day so do see more fluctuations I guess). I hope you can forget this and not lose momentum, I looked at your diary and it looks fine to me. I'm not really an expert at this weight loss malarky, I went on slimming world with my mum at 16 and lost 3 stone to get to 9 1/2 stone then ballooned to 18 1/2 stone and stayed there for a long time, I lost 5 1/2 stone at 24 and then really haven't bothered until now! My dh used to body build so has a lot of experience of calorie counting and is my guide most of the time. He is now power lifting and constantly trying to gain weight (which he finds very hard to do Envy). Have you lost any inches, could be muscle gain?!?

MonsterBookOfTysons · 16/03/2012 12:03

I also weigh myself everyday, yesterday I had reached losing a stone! Today I have put 1lb back on Hmm
I am blaming the weight lifting I did yesterday! Grin
But my stomach looks bloated so I think it may be water weight
Grin

RGPargy · 16/03/2012 23:56

It IS very frustrating isn't it?!! Also put on a pounds this week but i my fingers and legs feel a little bloated so i think i am having a phantom PMT. Haven't had a period for a while (contraceptive jab) so i have no idea when/if i am due any more but i have also been quite nibbly this week and not very focussed. I'm not bothered about the pound. I know it will come off when i get my head into gear again - hopefully tomorrow!!

Cinnamon - can you change your name on MFP? Didn't think you could but it would be handy if you could!

mrswoodentop · 17/03/2012 00:01

Ok I have completely stalled and fallen off the wagon.I have to get back on again, just booked a holiday for July ,didn't have one last year due to finances and my op,and I am not going to spend it feeling depressed about my weight .

Why can I never seem to stick to anything diet related,I just get hungry ,and then I get down and then I eat Sad

I need a plan ,I am going to do this this time ,I have to sort myself out,see you all back on MFP tomorrow

jchocchip · 17/03/2012 01:55

Think you are only allowed 1 name changr on mfp.
