IBlameThePenguins · 17/03/2012 19:44

Hi all, haven't caught up for a while. Am still plodding on, and.seem to be shifting 2lb a week 12lb down, 16 to go before my wedding in 5 months... Eeek!

I've sent you a request bubbles... See you over there! Xx

RGPargy · 18/03/2012 21:53

Hi bubbles and welcome :) Will add you! :o

cinnamongreyhound · 18/03/2012 21:58

I wouldn't call 2lb a week plodding IBlameThePenguins, it's great!

Looks like you can't change your name on mfp or I'm a bit thick one or the other Grin

I have lost the 500g I put on over the last 2 days so hoping tomorrow will be on the downward trend. Had dominoes for lunch/dinner today can't believe how many calories per slice!! As a result have only been able to have 2 of my mothers day chocolates but I did go for a run at 8 tonight. Really horrible though as I found a dead cat in the street as I got back, very :( for my neighbours.

RGPargy · 18/03/2012 22:11

Well done on going for a run Greyhound. It's amazing how many cals are in "nice" food isn't it, especially stuff like pizza!

Really :( for your neighbours. I hate seeing things like that. On the way to the gym the other day i saw a little black dog lying dead on the hard shoulder of the motorway. I felt very :( too as, as much as i'm a cat lover, the little fella was obviously someone's pet and made me think how sad they would be when they found him. :(

Have had a terrible weekend, foodwise. Have eaten pub lunch plus wine on Friday lunchtime, pizza plus bottle of wine on Friday night, indian takeaway and bottle of wine on Saturday night and pizza and bottle of wine again today (plus chocs and brownies for mothers day). Dreadful dreadful dreadful. I am bit Angry that my only options for dinner tonight were curry (again) or bloomin pizza (again!). I had got a couple of sausages out of the freezer but eating from the freezer was met with disdain from DP so i was more or less "forced" to eat sh*t - again!

Ah well, back on the wagon tomorrow (again!). Hope to burn more cals tomorrow - pump in the morning and step in the evening. Looking forward to watching those numbers rise up, up and up!! :o

whyme2 · 18/03/2012 22:41

Hi all,
Having an eating weekend. Back tomorrow with my good intentions firmly in hand.

W2

cinnamongreyhound · 18/03/2012 22:44

269 calories per slice!!!!! Surely there's no need for that many Wink. The worst one I've found was the modern milk chilled coffee, the carton was around 600 calories iirc!!

Sounds like a yummy weekend RGPargy and you always burn so many calories anyway!! I'm lucky at the moment I don't feel like I need a blow out dinner/day/weekend although dh keeps trying to encourage me to have a cheat day. Got my eye on a size 12 pair of jeans Wink

RGPargy · 18/03/2012 22:49

Cinnamon - i wish i could be stronger. My will power is appalling. My friend who has recently joined MFP is doing really well and now i'm feeling a bit [jealous] that she is starting to over take me!

We are going on a fitness day on 31st March and it would have been nice to have lost a couple of pounds before it starts. Still early days yet tho - hopefully i could lose at least 2lb before then......

My ultimate goal is to lose 2 stone before the next fitness weekender in September/October. it would be awesome to go to the weekender without lugging around so much baggage. It certainly makes it a lot harder with all this excess bloody weight!! Hmm

bexsybooboo · 19/03/2012 06:44

Well as expected I knew it would be a busy weekend food and drink wise so deliberately did not log as way too embarrassed and forgot to log my food Grin

Friday evening double chicken burger takeaway, Saturday lots of vodka 30th bday party and yesterday McDonald's breakfast, krespy Kreme donut, miss Millie's and a few profiteroles just a complete washout Wink

We did manage to go for a a family swim so does that count as at least trying Wink

But Monday today, weekend done so back to it Smile attempting 4 mile run tonight, but think it may be a combination of run/walk but at least back out there.

Reckon I might be stuck in the 13 stone bracket for another week Sad but ha a lovely day yesterday so can't moan or rant at WI on Friday Smile

MonsterBookOfTysons · 19/03/2012 10:14

I am abit annoyed.
I have put 2.2 lbs back on. I must of got the first weigh in wrong when I thought I had reached losing a stone, bloody scales :(
I am trying not to be down heartened and going to go swimming today :)

trice · 19/03/2012 14:07

I am really pleased by the way I feel having added fat back into my diet. I have cut out grains and potato but added butter and oil and I am finding my cravings much easier to handle. The portions sizes need to be smaller but I feel fuller. Perhaps it is just the change that is doing me good.

jchocchip · 19/03/2012 15:36

Uh OH . Travelling is always a time when I reach for snacks. Yesterday it was liquorice and marshmallows, today cinder toffee. Oops.

RGPargy · 19/03/2012 19:54

Trice - that sounds really good. Very Atkins-esque! Their principles (as im sure you know!) were that you needed fat for energy and that low carbing and low calories didn't work. Maybe that's why you are feeling fuller?

Tummy bugs are great for hindering the appetite. Today i have eaten 1 cream cracker with a bit of butter and a really tiny bit of spotted dick and custard lol. Hmm

mrswoodentop · 20/03/2012 06:48

Went to weigh in yesterday and the last two weeks I have stayed the same ,I suppose in a way that's good as at least it's not going on but I need to get losing ,I think if it was going a nit quicker I wouldn't find it so depressing.
Going to take the dog out for a long walk this afternoon

whyme2 · 20/03/2012 10:07

I have stayed the same for two weeks now and I am getting cheesed off. I think I need to up my exercise and eat less
Also dh is catching me up with his weight loss and it is starting to tick me off. Couldn't bear to weigh MORE than him.

whyme2 · 20/03/2012 10:07

Hope you are feeling better soon RGPargy.

HipHopOpotomus · 20/03/2012 12:56

Hi all. I signed up to MFP four months ago - but didn't really do it as I found it really hard going while still BF.
Back from holiday, where seeing my Mum virtually immobilised by her weight & arthritis (too heavy for knee op, can't move doe to knees so harder to lose weight - vicious circle) has really frightened me. I feel so sad for her, and need to sort myself out so I don't end up same way. Both of us carry to much weight all our lives.
I'm an old Mum - don't want to be a FAT Mum too. Need lots of energy for my gorgeous girls.

Weighed myself at doctors today and was 6 kg's down from 4 months ago - so that is great. Positive start!

Still BF but for now committing to LOGGING everything every day. That's my first goal.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 20/03/2012 16:58

Hi HipHop, feel free to add me on mfp, same name as on here :)

I am happier today, I got weighed at the gym and my scales at home are broke! I am 155.2lbs so am happy with my exercise and diet once more Grin

RGPargy hope you are feeling a bit better today :)

mrswoodentop · 20/03/2012 17:02

Feel free to add me too ,I need lots of encouragement and am happy to give same !!Grin

RGPargy · 20/03/2012 21:46

Hi everyone :)

Feeling quite a bit better today. Despite not having much of an appetite i have still managed to eat my calories today. I blame the Graze boxes, personally. Wink

No gym for me for the past 2 days. Hoping i'll be ok tomorrow but right now i'm not sure i'll have the energy for my normal double wednesday session. Hmm

Hello HipHop - logging is an essential part of getting to grips with everything. Good luck :)

I have two friends who have now overtaken me in their weight loss. They both started at the same time as me and yet again i find myself at the centre of self sabotage. I am not sure why because i so desperately want to be a size 12/14 again. Bugger. Hmm

noseynoonoo · 20/03/2012 22:35

Hello, may I join in? I have a overweight BMI for the first time in my life. I weighed myself today for the first time in a while and was somewhat shocked. I started running about 3 months ago but have put on a lot of fat around my middle in the process - go figure!

I have just signed up for MFP - I'm not sure how I am going to only eat 1200 calories per day. My running will account for 300 calories every other day but the only other exercise I can do is use a rowing machine. I'm not sure how to get my head around not be able to eat anything . My bowl of shreddies for breakfast and dinner of salmon, noodles and veg took up all of my allowance so nothing for lunch allowed. That's not going to work.

Any pointers for resetting my brain/expectations?
