isn't it strange how we are different, but i am only 5ft3 and an hourglass. to be fair my top half is like a 12 but with largish boobs, so i have to wear a 14 for those.

what are we measuring?

under bust i am 33
waist is now 31
hips 39

piratecat · 31/05/2012 20:47

nimbs, i was heading towards size 18, not good on my little frame. that's what spurned me on, because my weight has been creeping on and on the past 5 yrs, i am 43 too so it's harder to shift!!

twinkle183 · 31/05/2012 21:11

piratecat i am exactly the same size as you in inches...

Am still cracking on with insanity am looking forward to weigh in am hoping for a couple of pounds Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 31/05/2012 21:29

Under bust 32
Waist (depends if I'm measuring or dh as he doesn't measure around the smallest bit) 33/36
Hip 37.5

My boobs have gone from a 36G to a 34DD and I think on their way to a D. If only I lost at that rate from my thighs!!

MaggieMcVitie · 31/05/2012 21:37

Cinnamon you are amazing!

Off to a good start here - went swimming yesterday and a good 40 min walk with the dog today. Logged in to MFP both days and just within calorie allowance both days too Grin

Tbh, I haven't felt like I'm 'on a diet' just very aware of what I'm eating - really noticed it tonight using a jar of sauce for chicken, previously would have just chucked the whole lot in, but only used 1/2 for me and DH as I'd logged one portion which was 1/4 of a jar. Cheaper too as still have 1/2 jar left!!

I'm 5'5, 12st Blush and size 14. Am at my most comfortable at 9st 3ish (size 10 for me) Seems a long way off....Hmm

BehindLockNumberNine · 31/05/2012 21:46

There is no way I am brave enough to measure myself...

I too am more aware of what I am eating, it does not feel like I am on a diet as I am not denying myself anything, just eating less of it.
(did go over on calories yesterday as it was a bit of a sociable evening, but not by much and it was a one off...)

Want to start to vary my exercise. Am currently just walking. Lots of walking. Am hoping to take the opportunity of half term next week to get the bike out and do some cycling. Would like to add two cycle rides a week to my exercise for the rest of the summer.
Hopefully by the time it gets too cold to cycle I will be slimmer and more confident about the idea of getting into my swimsuit...

awaywego1 · 31/05/2012 23:09

Well I've fallen off the wagon the last couple of days-have been really tired and hungry-likely as I'm premenstral and also went on a first date lat night so had a couple of cocktails to ease the nerves Blush
Today I'm only 100 cals over but 400 yesterday-eek.
Will aim to get back on tommorow and are how we go.
Well done everyone else on great successes. I think my measurements are
Waist: 34-around bellybutton-is that the right place to measure?
Boobs:35
Thigh: 22
Arm:11.5
I'm 5.2" and 9.8 at the moment-aiming to loose a stone but would be happy at 9 and some toning (or frankly anything right now Grin)

RGPargy · 01/06/2012 05:59

Hello ladies! Just popping in to bookmark. Grin

Ps - have lost 4.6lb this week after returning to low carb GrinGrinGrin

Will try and catch up later today if I have a quiet day at work. Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 01/06/2012 07:08

I'd love an 11.5 inch upper arm awaywego1, my arms are huge. 500 calories over two days isn't a disaster :)

Well done RGPargy!! That's amazing!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 01/06/2012 11:02

I can not see the mechanical scale Hmm it has a magnifying bit but I have to get dh to read it, he will not do it more than once a week Hmm

cinnamongreyhound · 01/06/2012 11:59

Could you take a photo?

MonsterBookOfTysons · 01/06/2012 13:34

Cinnamon I tried that but when I zoom in it is blurred, I may get ds to take the pic :o

Iwantcandy · 01/06/2012 13:40

Can I join? Just signed up yesterday. My username is andbreathe. I have 100lb to lose Sad

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 01/06/2012 13:58

Welcome IWantCandy don't think about 100lbs. Just focus on losing that first lb, its a great feeling, and then then next lb, and the next. Every pound you lose is very worthwhile so don't focus too much on your end goal.

Someone on here reccomended body pump. I have just booked my first class for Monday and am scared!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 01/06/2012 14:58

Hi iwantcandy I agree, do not focus on your main goal, set mini goals.
Mine are each new stone bracket and half stones if I am struggling.
Feel free to add me newbies, same name as on here :)

Iwantcandy · 01/06/2012 15:50

Just realised I need a new and inspiring mn name. Any suggestions?

Zumba tomorrow for me. Never tried bodypump. Let me know what it's like

BehindLockNumberNine · 01/06/2012 16:01

Hi Iwant, will friend you on mfp if you like? I have nearly 80lbs to lose and even then my bmi will not be comfortably in the healthy range so I will be alongside you on the 100lbs journey.
But small steps.
I weight myself and log my weight in kg so I set myself a target of 5kg by x date and then another 5 kg by y date. So my goal is only ever 5kg at a time (in my mind anyway...)

monster, you need one of those newfangled talking scales. Was it not you that had bought some????

BehindLockNumberNine · 01/06/2012 16:03

oooh, no, sorry, it was alicia with the talking scales. 'blush]

cinnamongreyhound · 01/06/2012 17:04

I have lost 61lb in 7 months so it is doable iwantcandy, I did set myself quite a bit target of getting to normal bmi, but I think you do feel an achievement with every new stone bracket you enter and every half stone you lose or every new clothes size you fit into. Will go to mfp and add you now!

Definitely but the dc to work monsterbookoftysons!

LadyMonstingtonTy · 01/06/2012 17:06

Not logging as much as I used to on here but still enjoy reading the everyone elses logs Smile

itsallgoingtobefine I love body pump I go on a Monday evening and am going to try to do an extra pump class in the week. I love it. It is hard work but I feel amazing after Grin start light on your weights til your comfortable with the class and then build up over the weeks Smile

Have started back with road running and enjoyed it so am going to try and mix it all up. Gym cardio and resistance work, swimming, pump and running Wink am also tempted to get my bike back from my sister as have been asked to do the Bristol to Weston bike ride but not sure if I will do that one yet Grin

Keep logging everyone as it is motivational Smile to each of us.

RGPargy · 01/06/2012 23:05

Hi everyone! :o

Another pumper here! It is very addictive but we have such a laugh in the class that i just cant help going back! Been doing it now for about 2 years! Trouble is, we all know each other so well now and on a monday morning one of the ladies always makes us cakes!! So we do our pump class and then sit in the cafe downstairs and eat our calories burns back with cake. What a great end to a work out lol :o

I'm off on a fitness day tomorrow (FightKlub). It starts at about 11.30 and doesn't finish til about 5.30pm!! I'm going to be knackered! I'm sure it'll be worth it tho!

Newbies - please feel free to add me! I am very active on MFP, more so than here!

Off to bed now -Night all! :o
