Morning ladies
Well let's just say that last night was definately a bad night calorie wise. A 3 course meal ( sticky toffee pud and icecream anyone?) and not to mention the countless units of alcohol. I can officially declare myself over the 3000 mark. Hmm. I haven't weighed today but then I stayed at parents as she has DS. BUT it was a great night.

itsallgoingtobefine It's not easy starting out and changing the way you eat, especially the whole boredom issue, but once you lose that first few lbs it really does give you such a good feeling and a big boost that you can't help but want more.
I started by just reducing portion sizes. I can't believe how much I actually used to put on my plate. For example the 200g of potato I have now is so much smaller than what I used to have. Also swapping full fat/sugar for reduced version helps.

Well done to the ladies who have weighed and lost this week :)

I am feeling very happy today, this morning's weighin showed I had lost anogher kilogram! Total loss now 6kg or 13lbs :-)

Long way to go as I want to lose 35.5kg all in (at least) but I am determined to stick with it...

Itsall - have sent you friend request.
SilveryMoon, welcome. What is your name on mfp? Feel free to add me, am petd on mfp.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/05/2012 17:25

Just back from a run, haven't snacked all day and am feeling positive.

BehindLockNumberNine I have added you, thanks :-)

Hopefully · 06/05/2012 17:32

Phew, have done Insanity pure cardio. It really is pure cardio. Was nowhere near being able to keep up, but felt I pushed myself. Am trying to make up for ridiculous takeaway/Ben & Jerry's situation last night.

BehindLockNumberNine great loss, well done!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine it's great that you know exactly where your weak spots lie, a bit of micro-managing will help get over them. I know that I'm an awful snacker, so I have to try to schedule in sensible snacks here and there so that I don't completely lose control and eat the entire kitchen.

Will send some friend requests out later tonight when I have banished the DCs to bed!

SilveryMoon · 06/05/2012 20:54

behind I am SilveryMn. X will look for you tomoz, am in pub now (drinking more than calorie alowance. Whoops. )

BehindLockNumberNine · 06/05/2012 21:27

Oooh, pub, am jealous!! Had a bulmers this evening - calories galore but stopped at one

My downfall is snacking too - I purposely schedule in morning, afternoon and evening snacks and then work my breakfast, lunch and dinner around them...
Could not cope without snacks...

jchocchip · 06/05/2012 22:33

Uhoh, croissants, chips, massive plate of fish, soup and cheese pancake this evening. this holiday is being v calorific and I'm not logging as I go along. Will go out for a run tomorrow and try to undo some of the dammage :)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 06/05/2012 22:50

Welcome to the newcomers :)
I filled in my diary earlier with a snack of fresh tomatoes, toast, 2 cookies and tea as I was still starving after dinner. I had rice for dinner and am now feeling full so have deleted the toast and toms off my diary :)
Admittedly I kept the cookies so I am not perfect but I am proud of myself, 5 months ago I would of scoffed the whole pack of cookies and eaten the toast :o

SilveryMoon · 07/05/2012 07:05

Morning.
My entry for yesterday is shocking Blush
Far too much wine and now I don't feel too well Sad
have loads to do today, the ironing pile is HUGE and the flat is a mess.

bexsybooboo · 07/05/2012 07:43

Reading all these entries have made me feel the guilt I have been ignoring Sad

Haven't logged properly since Thursday, my exercise programme has decreased significantly also Sad and not sure why. Well I tell a little lie I am getting bored and my food addiction fondness for food is taking over Blush

So after reading all these entries I am taking the kids swimming and then booked my body pump class for tonight. Am going to force myself out the door on an evening again and go to gym/swimming every night this week may stand a chance of staying the same if I flog myself this week.

I need to keep focused and remember that since October have managed to go down 2 dress sizes, 43ibs and decrease my side love handles considerably lol Smile

Well done to all those that have not only lost weight but are heading to a healthy lifestyle Smile

jchocchip · 07/05/2012 07:58

go bexsy go! Now you have booked bodypump you have to go ;)

zandy · 07/05/2012 12:01

I woke up this morning and felt all gung ho about starting a diet today. Logged into myfitnesspal and joined up. Came downstairs and was presented with a plate of two croissants and a pat of butter. Which I promptly ate. hmmmm not the best start. So I put that in and intend to do better. Good luck to us all.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 07/05/2012 13:26

bexsybooboo Do you enjoy bodypump. I was thinking of starting it, but am a bit nervous as I have no coordination at all hides memory of nearly kicking neighbour in bodycombat because I was kicking in wrong direction Also it all looks v complicated with the different weights, and I am also scared of being the newbie who doesn't know what to do yes I am pathetic, takes me a LONG time to work up to doing new things

bexsybooboo · 07/05/2012 13:44

itsallgoingtobefine I love body pump Grin it's hard work but addictive Grin which is why I chose for today to hopefully get me my mojo back lol

It took me my 3rd session to know what weights I cld add and what I was comfortable with, before this I just stuck with the lightest do I could get used to the class and work out the instructors programme Smile remember you're only the newbie your first session Smile

I am especially addicted as it continues to burn calories for 48 hrs after class Wink from next week I may try to do 2 body pump classes per week or do 1 body pump and 1 spinning as both addictive and great calorie burns for just under an hour class Smile the only problem is my gym times for classes are pretty pants with latest class being 7.30 but not in any of the classes I want to do. For the ones I want to do the latest is 6.30pm which is a bit of a nightmare wit me working ft, kids and grumpy dh sometimes Wink

Go to one you have nothing to lose and if you hate it just leave or never go back Smile

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 07/05/2012 13:56

Thanks bexsybooboo I am tentatively considering one in a couple of weeks, and your post has given me a good push!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 07/05/2012 14:15

Hi Zandy.
Newbies, feel free to add me, same name as on here. :)

zandy · 07/05/2012 15:49

Ty. I'll do that.

twinkle183 · 07/05/2012 15:55

Right am sorry but am about to moan Sad I am sick of this bad back!! I feel like a caged animal at the minute... I can't sit, stand, lay or do anything for too long as it hurts... Sad I am so fed up! Am so ready to exercise and never thought I would say this but I am so missing insanity it ridiculous! I am so Envy of all those that are getting out there and buring those calories! I am doing my best not to over eat so water has become my best friend Smile

Well done to all those that have lost this week Grin!! Newbies feel free to add me I am twinkletoe_183 on mfp....

Sorry to moan but it's my only release.... Wink gonna have to give in and go to the drs for some painkillers as I have a two hour exam on Friday and can only manage to sit for short spaces of time!!!!

Hope everyone is well!!!

Hopefully It looks like your catch me up on Insanity.... Wink

I let you all know how I get on at the doctors! x

BehindLockNumberNine · 07/05/2012 17:11

Oh twinkle, sorry to hear that your back is still playing you up Sad Dr's is a great idea, you will be batteling insanity before you know it! (am not even going to ask what it is, it sounds errr... insane...?)

Zandy, it will all click into place. Feel free to add me, am petd on mfp.

Have just squeezed an additional dog walk in to ensure I had enough calories to have half a naanbread with tonights homemade curry. Am replacing the rice with spinach to cut both carbs and calories and have not bought any fatty accompaniments such as samosas or bahijas. (will allow myself a bottle of pear cider though Smile)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 07/05/2012 17:32

Twinkle good luck at the doc's.
Behind I love Naan bread's but am always shocked at how many cals they are :o
I am having a bad cookie day, I had 2 tesco ones then made cookies with the dc and ate 2 of those Hmm I did have salad for lunch so I will pretend that evens it all out :o

BehindLockNumberNine · 07/05/2012 17:41

I know Monster, they are shocking - I have the packet of Pataks naans right here (in case I needed to enter it into mfp database) and one naan has 370 kcal!!!! Yikes. Luckily they come in a packet of 2 and there are four of us so will give dd (who is as skinny as a rake) the bigger half and I will have the smaller half... Smile Will leave ds and dh to battle over the other one...

(Might be really good and only have a third...)

Cookies - yum! Have stayed away from anything like that. I love baking and would normally bake something most weekends but have held off as I just know I would not be able to control myself Sad
Itching to get baking again...

BehindLockNumberNine · 07/05/2012 17:42

Salad evens everything out btw :-)

cinnamongreyhound · 07/05/2012 21:10

Well done on your loss BehindLockNumberNine!

Sounds like you're having a good holiday jchocchip, where are you that it's too hot to run?

You've done really well bexsybooboo and I can see how you can be fed up having been at it since October. You sound like you're determined to get back into it though. I think logging everything is a big part even when you know you're over as it makes it more real. A week or do of a break may well kick start some faster weightloss too.

Welcome zandy, I have had croissant for breakfast but just one and tend to have jam rather than butter as its less calories!

Sorry you're still in pain twinkle183 :( don't know what to say other than it won't last forever and you're doig great not to reach for food to make you feel better :)

I agree MonsterBookOfTysons, naans are really surprisingly high in calories!! And salads are awful so definitely make up for a lot of cookies!! Enjoy them today and be good tomorrow :)

Feeling impatient now to get the last 1.5Kg off to get to my target. I think I am still not realistic about how I look and how much weight I've lost as I still feel pretty big! Not sure what to do once I get to my target as that just takes me inside normal bmi and would like to be more in the middle of normal but I thought that was a long way to go at the start. Still feel pretty happy with what I'm eating so not too much of a hardship I guess. Got some looseish skin now which is a bit :(
