Hi sparkelshine, welcome! Sorry to hear you've had a hectic time but well done for keeping up the weight loss. I am starting to get some sagging skin now which I don't like at all. I have lost almost 4st since 10th November and have gone from a 16 to a 12, am now exactly 11st. I have also done the C25K and am now running 5k ish 3 times a week. My weightloss varies week to week depending on my cycle, but losing 0-2Kg a week. Feel free to add me on mfp, same name as here :)

cinnamongreyhound · 03/05/2012 16:42

sorry 0-1Kg a week!

jchocchip · 03/05/2012 19:41

wow sparkle well done on 265 days and size 14. I aspire to an 18 now, very pleased to be in 20's ( just.)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 03/05/2012 21:47

Hi sparkle :) Feel free to add me too, same name as on here :)

I am feeling quite proud of myself, I had a bad migraine yesterday, sick, headache and numbness which normally puts me out of action for 2 days but I beat it and yesterday I did 50 sit ups and10 mins on my stepper, which was difficult as my legs were weak and today I went swimming and aqua aerobics.
I feel great that my migraine didn't rule my exercise regime like it normally would :o

BehindLockNumberNine · 03/05/2012 22:15

BehindLockNumberNine · 04/05/2012 07:39

jchocchip · 04/05/2012 09:44

Yay way to go cinnamon! :)

I can't weight myself until I get home on the 12th. Hope the holiday doesn't set me back...

HipHopOpotomus · 04/05/2012 09:53

Hi sparkle - you've achieved so much & must be especially proud that you stuck to it through such a difficult time!!! Very inspiring.

Fantastic work cinnamon - love hitting those milestones!!

Have a good weekend everyone. It is DD2's christening and first birthday party on Sunday with a huge family feast/party after church. I've been trying to stay a little under all week. I'm just going to relax and go with the flow on Sunday.

Thankfully, after several weeks on MFP all cravings have gone and my appetite is much less, even and moderate. Good times.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 04/05/2012 11:19

Well done cinnamon, brilliant news :o

twinkle183 · 04/05/2012 19:09

well done sparkle your an inspiration and you should be proud of what you've achieved so far!!! Feel free to add me to mfp my name is twinkletoe_183

Well I am sulking Sad[as I have hurt my back and am struggling with the pain, I am currently laying the sofa with a hotwater bottle on my back after guzzling lots more painkillers! I am hoping that I am better tomorrow so I can carry on my insanity journey which I am loving. Grin

Diet is going well although cos I am annoyed with my back thinking about being naughty Hmm but it will just undo all of my good work!

Well done to everyone who has lost weight and is continuing to do so but if your struggling just remember its the tortoise that wins the race not the hare!!! Smile

Sorry I haven't been very active on here much more active on mfp on my phone!!

Hopefully · 04/05/2012 20:47

Can I play too?

I'm friends with Twinkle on MFP - she has got me onto Insanity too, and it is bloody amazing (I am all of 3 days in, so may change my tune slightly at some stage...). I'm also 2/3 of the way through the couch to 5k programme, which I'm trying to keep up, but might run a few runs two or three times before moving on to the next one from now on, so as not to actually kill myself while also doing Insanity.

I am trying to lose the last 5-10lbs, but currently stuck in plateau hell - have weighed precisely 141.4lb for the past month, excluding my period, when I went up about 300lb for a couple of days, but am firmly wedged at 141.4lb again. Seriously, if it hadn't changed for AF I would think my scales were broken (DH wishes they were, so he could weight 141.4lbs too Grin). Looking for people to help motivate me for this latest push! And i like having lots of updates for me to comment on when I obsessively log during the day. My MFP username is Islaybower.

sparkleshine · 04/05/2012 21:03

Thanks everyone. I am proud of myself. It hasn't been easy over the past year or so but really needed to do something about the weight and was horrified when I tipped the scales at 19stone Shock Blush but I've had so much help and support from family and friends.

Well done to everyone else who has lost weight and good luck for those just starting out. Well done cinnamon

hiphop yes this weekend will be tough for you. But you can't diet and be good all the time and everyone needs a good old binge now and again.
I have a hen party tomorrow night (who happens to be ex's sister) so its a 3 course meal and FREE drinks. Don't think I will be weighing myself this Sunday!

Also feel free to add me if I miss anyone out. I'm sparklemummy on MFP and it's a pic of me and DS.
Hope you feel better soon twinkle and monster

jchocchip · 05/05/2012 13:44

for some reason I haven't logged (I'm on holiday at my cousin's house) Been fairly good with food, lots of salad and veggies and hardly any chocolate :) Out for a meal later though and I heard pizza mentioned. Have been for a run yesterday and a walk today. Can't weigh myself so will be interesting to see if I can stay near my last weight while I'm here.

Enjoy your party sparkleshine, we all need a day off once in a while and it doesn't do long term damage to your weight as long as you jump back to logging the next day :)

BehindLockNumberNine · 05/05/2012 17:22

Hello all,

Struggeling today - have a headache and feel fluey and for some reason that makes me verrrrry hungry. And because I feel so crap I struggle to exercise. Walked the dog for over an hour today though but have now retreated on the floor with my duvet....

Finding it much harder at the weekends to stay 'good' and not pig out on snacks etc...

Weigh-in day tomorrow, eek...

BehindLockNumberNine · 05/05/2012 17:23

retreated onto the sofa!!! not the floor!!! Hmm

cinnamongreyhound · 05/05/2012 20:10

I'm the opposite BehindLockNumberNine during the weekend I get up later and dh is home so I don't have so much time to be hungry or bored!! Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly and hope you feel better soon :)

cinnamongreyhound · 05/05/2012 20:10

And enjoy your hols Jchocchip!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 05/05/2012 20:34

Hi all, been using MFP for ages now (rosieg1979). And so far I have only managed to gain weight (cries)

My excuses,

-SAHM with toddler, not much time to exercise
-Serious issues with emotional eating
It's so much effort to log home made stuff that I don't bother, and then eat lots because it doesn't matter because I'm not logging it.
-I find it really hard to stick to the calories (I'm on lowest daily calories so 1200 + 200 for breastfeeding and if I go over I may as well go over by loads. (I tend to be at least 1000 calories over PER DAY!) and thats when I 'm trying

Sorry for coming on here and moaning, i'm just depressed about the whole thing (so Im eating more). Vicious circle yada yada.

I'll follow this thread for a bit and see if your successes can motivate me a bit.

SilveryMoon · 05/05/2012 20:57

I've just signed up. Going to start tomorrow. Downloading the blackberry app.
I need to lose about 75lbs.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 05/05/2012 21:03

The app is great - I hardly ever use the website...

cinnamongreyhound · 05/05/2012 21:17

ItsAllGoingToBeFine I personally think you have to be mentally ready to lose weight and you need to get yourself into the right mind set. I used to eat when bored, upset, tired, happy etc etc but after years of being unhappy with the way I looked but not willing to change the way I ate I realised I needed to be healthier for myself and my family. I had already lost 10Kg before I joined mfp by cutting down portions and cutting out the binging in the evenings. I love mfp because it allows you to see what you're eating and where you are going wrong. I would say to you try to log everything, perhaps set yourself a target of a week to log everything and see how it goes. I cook from scratch most days and it does save what your already put in so gets quicker. Try reducing how much you want to lose each week to give you some more calories and then you're less likely to go over. It's hard to fit in exercise and you need to be committed to doing it to make it possible. I'm a childminder and have a minimum of 3 children with me from 7.30-6 every day and have 2 of my own but my dh is very supportive and I have been able to get out three evenings a week to run using C25K.

Welcome silverymoon it's really works I've lost 56lb since November! There are lots of lovely ladies here :)

SilveryMoon · 05/05/2012 21:27

Thanks cinnamon Smile

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/05/2012 08:29

Thanks cinnamongreyhound I know you are right. I can be very self destructive. After that big post yesterday I did fill out my log.

I know exactly where I go wrong. I start eating after DDs nap because I don't know what to do with her/myself. I'm going to experiment with really micro managing my days to try and lose this mid afternoon slump.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/05/2012 08:35

Oh, and thanks for friending me Jchocchip :-)
