piratecat · 19/04/2012 19:04

no, i haven't opened up my profile. too shy!!

piratecat · 19/04/2012 19:05

me too, it's so, so, plain!

but dd drinks loads and keeps reminding me. it's my new habit. can't do a big glass, but a mug seems different lol!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 19/04/2012 19:26

I will have it as my goal to drink more! :o

I was embarrassed to add people for a while as I kept talking to myself on it Blush never disagreed with myself though Wink

NCIS · 19/04/2012 19:44

That's why I have a pint mug of green or peppermint tea after every meal and sometimes in between. I figure thats mostly water so must count and stops me being hungry.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 19/04/2012 19:45

I have always wanted to like those style tea's but have failed to find one I like :o

NCIS · 19/04/2012 20:03

They are an aquired taste! I'm being a bit naughty tonight and having a glass of wine but I have got over 400 calories saved up from the last two days and am back on nights tomorrow so won't be having a drink until Tuesday.
Not sure how eating healthily is going to go on nights!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 19/04/2012 20:09

Enjoy the Wine NCIS :)
I have not reached my cal goal yet, I am struggling as I have eaten alot of salad today.
I may treat myself to a meatball wrap :o

cinnamongreyhound · 19/04/2012 20:25

I have eaten a lot of snacks today, feeling a bit down and it's a bit of a surprise! Have generally been much more positive and had loads of energy since losing weight and running regularly. Not even my totm but feel a bit better since my run, also weightloss has been pretty much non exhistant for 10 days and I'm always under my calories and walking or running every day :(

piratecat · 19/04/2012 20:25

i went 73 cals over today, and 10 over on protein, but i underate by 150 yesterday as just didn't fancy anymore.

think i have an addiction to that Total yog now. will go to tesco tomorrow for more as it's on offer.

the tea is a good idea, but i've yet to find one i like. i have stopped drinking any coffee at home again. I have to have sugar in coffee, haven't even thought about a sugar substitute for it, i only remember sweetex as a teen!

but i am glad i am not having the coffee as i was having too many. Back to tea with no sugar, and i don't count the milk in that towards my cals, i think i would give up the will!! I do recognise there are cals in my cuppa so am also limiting my tea to 3 a day.

piratecat · 19/04/2012 20:26

oh cinnamon you are having a time like i had. I don't even excercise either Blush

Are you eating enough cals back do you think?

MonsterBookOfTysons · 19/04/2012 20:52

Cinnamon it must be catching this not losing weight :(
My scales are still not fixed, dh could not find the batteries in the shop Hmm
I am impatient now and losing the will also.

cinnamongreyhound · 19/04/2012 20:52

My allowance is 1440 and I generally eat 1300-1400 each day but rarely eat into my exercise calories. I usually only lose every other week but this week of being static is lasting more than a week and I'm getting close to my goal now so I'm impatient!!

cinnamongreyhound · 19/04/2012 20:56

But you've reached that magical 153lb :), I am still in the 11st something :(. We will do better next week MonsterBookOfTysons!

piratecat · 19/04/2012 21:03

so you can have 1440 a day, before exercise? hmm maybe you need to eat a bit more? not sure, i heard it was good to eat a few more proteins?

remember i didn't lose anything for 3 weeks Confused, i am sure you will.

right am off to shed some cals in tears watching long lost family.

realhousewifeofdevoncounty · 19/04/2012 21:24

Hi all, I'm new to this thread and just finished by first day back on it - and within allowance! Did a bit of walking today and some housework - was going to go for a run but going tomorrow instead. I have no buddies yet on mfp. Sad I am medicmum so feel free to add me, I may add some of you guys if that's ok? Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 19/04/2012 21:26

Yes that's right, I have allowed myself 1lb loss a week do its not too strict but with my exercise I'm usually under 2500 calls per week which should really equate to 2lb a week loss. I don't think I need to eat more as if I chose to lose 2lb a week mfp would allow me only 1200 cals a day not taking exercise into account. Think it's just the way my body works and it's bound to slow down as I get lighter but its still very frustrating!

realhousewifeofdevoncounty · 19/04/2012 21:35

Yay I have my first friend! Grin

piratecat · 19/04/2012 21:40

oh i see, so you almost are not eating 2 days worth of food a week!

i don't exercise, am on 1200. 10 12 now and a short arse. just doing the basic really. so i expect the basic of 0.9 a week which wasn't happening at all for those 3 weeks grrr.

where abouts in devon county are you realhousewife? as am in devon.

medicmum, feel free to add me :-) I have only been on MFP 10 days and fear I will be there for at least a year...

Pirate - fantastic news on the weight loss - fab fab fab!!

cinnamon, monster - I speedwalked the dog through the woods today - felt all out of breath and everything, if I can build that up I can progress to running when I no longer fear me knees collapse under me. Let me build up to it... will keep you posted.
Will also need to check out insurance, am certain people will die laughing when they see me running, need to be covered ;-)

BehindLockNumberNine · 19/04/2012 22:58

MonsterBookOfTysons · 19/04/2012 23:10

:) well done Behind! Build it up and your knee's will get stronger. :)

I have a bad knee and chronic sciatica but the exercise seem's to of helped both problems. Amzing but it does work :)

piratecat · 19/04/2012 23:31
