Hi noseynoonoo! I started just by cutting down before I joined mfp and I was hungry for the first 3 weeks but it went away. What weightloss does 1200 give you? I have almost 1500 but tend to be around 12-1400. My biggest thing to say is decrease your portion size, I haven't changed breakfast usually porridge at 400calories. For lunch I usually have a 1 slice of bread sandwich or 1/2 tin of soup and one slice of bread which is less than 200 and a small dinner 300-400. That leaves me calories for essential snacks :). Shredded wheat is a lower option than shreddies and I have found that gherkins which I love are low calories and fill me up with lunch if I'm hungry one day so a food like that is handy. Maybe up your calories for the first few weeks to get used to it and then reduce back again? I rarely eat my running calories, it just hopefully boosts my weightloss!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/03/2012 07:52

Also make sure you drink lots of water, sometimes when you think you're hungry it can be thirst. I your mfp name the same as here? I'll add you and you can have a look at my diary if that helps.

bexsybooboo · 22/03/2012 18:25

Ugh oh WI tomorrow Sad

noseynoonoo · 22/03/2012 20:19

Thanks for the tips. I have changed my weightloss expectations so now I am allowing myself 1350 calories per day. I had to be realistic. I have drunk quite a lot of water this week.

My MPF name is 'noseynoo' I think.

bexsybooboo · 23/03/2012 07:21

Whoop whoop Smile 2ibs off Smile

I have now entered the next stone bracket which I cannot believe Grin I have been stuck between 13 st 3 and 13 stone for what feels like forever never feeling like it was moving at all and only fluctuated slowly Sad but whoop done it Smile

Well done to everyone else who has losses this week Smile and here's to another Grin

jchocchip · 23/03/2012 07:43

Well done Bexsy! Crossing the stone boundary deserves a reward :)

I seem to have shifted the weight I gained last week, hope I can maintain for my official weigh in tomorrow. I've joined the north - south - scotland challenge. Are there any other mumsnetters doing this?

mrswoodentop · 23/03/2012 09:42

Well done Bexsy,I am really hoping to have broken the next stone barrier on monday when I weigh in I think it will make such a difference psychologically .

OTOH just had a skinny flat white at costa and found its 77 calories OMG not worth the effort Shock

cinnamongreyhound · 23/03/2012 12:54

Well done bexsybooboo, I did the same last week and it does somehow make the loss more important! Maybe you should treat yourself :)

bexsybooboo · 23/03/2012 21:25

Hey guys thank you sooo much for your comments and support today Smile

I had a little reward today a custard slice small cake Grin

Well am hoping my buzz feeling will last until Sunday as have my first 10k (6miles) walk/run/hobble run for Sport relief. So ladies do think of me on Sunday morning. I am so having a juicy KFC great healthy meal on Sunday evening to celebrate it Grin

All that's left to say is if I can drop 2 dress sizes nearly 3 and lose nearly 3 stone and start loving my exercise then anyone can do it Smile, please keep going even on the weeks that are not great.

PleaseLeaveVictor · 23/03/2012 21:32

Hi,,I've been using myfitnesspal for a few days now, not entirely sure what I'm doing but in also doing slimming world (lost 8.5lb the last 2 weeks, weigh in again tomorrow) and I've ordered the shred. I am determined to drop three stone for the summer and tone up too Smile

Well done Mrswoodentop!

Took ds1 to McDonalds today as a treat for completing his latest round of speech therapy and I was very proud of myself for only eating a happy meal and mostly for resisting the creme egg mcflurry!

whyme2 · 26/03/2012 21:42

Just marking my place

I am debating whether to go to the new Zumba thing which is on tomorrow night. Not sure my old bones would take it. Will see how I feel, need to do something though Hmm

IBlameThePenguins · 27/03/2012 21:48

Hi all. Well, I'm back home in wales visiting my parents, and munching all the yummy stuff she puts in front of me. It shows though, because I've put a lb on :-( have mainly managed to stay within my cals, but am eating more fatty/ processed cakey type things, ando moving less... I must use this lb on as a kick up the bum!... I am getting married in 5lb months to the day... Eeek!

whyme2 · 28/03/2012 06:45
