Hey everyone,

Saw the last thread was nearly full so thought I would start a new one :)

Just waiting for my beef rogan curry to finish cooking. Smells AMAZING :) Thank god I am off attack now!

BTW HeavyHeidi, great reward system. I love shoes!!!

HeavyHeidi · 16/05/2011 13:16

Did not weigh myself this weekend, as I was cheating (there was wine involved) and did not want to see the numbers. But back on wagon today. Way easier to stick to the diet during working days anyway. Well, did some sports at least - running is already a lot easier with 5 kilos less to carry.

Oh, and discovered a lovely brand of fat-free no added sugar but flavoured yogurts - very little carbs but actually tasty.

And how is everybody else?

Frenchchic · 16/05/2011 17:13

I do agree that it's much easier to be good on working days although there are lots of chocs and cakes floating around at the moment. Been strict with myself though and not indulged - still on period, still no weight loss but am hoping that something is happening and when the period is finished I'll think, wow, it was worth carrying on! Fingers crossed!!! BTW, what yoghurts are there as now I'm finding the Muller yoghurts way too sweet.

Dilligaf81 · 16/05/2011 19:58

Hi on Day 1 of attack an few questions - What the hell is quart ? and can I substitute fat free fromage frais with fat free yoghurt ?

Went better than I though, I havent been hungry but think I might have eaten too much

B- Oatbran gallette (minus the sweetener it was horrible)
L - Cooked chicken slices, sliced ham and a boiled egg
Snack - Mullerlite yoghurt
D- no pastry chicken quiche from the book.

HeavyHeidi · 17/05/2011 07:08

so gained a bit weight back over the weekend, but 300 gr only, so not so bad.

French, are you living in France or French? I'm the former and eat Delisse yogurts here, not sure if they are available in UK.

Dilli, quark is a milk product as well, related to cottage cheese. This and fromage frais are just options and sure you can eat yogurt instead. Check the carbs though, as I wrote before, some of them claim to be natural and actually have loads of added sugar.

So protein day for me, let's see what the scales say tomorrow.

divadoll · 17/05/2011 07:53

Hiya all...sorry been busy kitchen refurbing! For those who asked I started dieting in January at 77kg and am at a plateau around the 66/67 mark and have been for a month now. I do pump twice a week, core, legs bums and tums and total conditioning...so 5 heavy classes a week. I am going to sub one pump for spin today and then try to do a combat class a week instead of one of the others too to change the routine a bit, but with a new instructor for total conditioning on Monday my ass is kiling me today!!
I havent been following it particularly well this last few weeks as I dont worry about weekends when I tend to eat and drink what I want for one meal a day. My water intake has dropped significantly again too, so have decided that after the kitchen is finished (by the end of THIS month) I will go balls out to lose that last half stone for a friends wedding in July.

seedlessgrape · 17/05/2011 12:59

Hi all, mind if I join in?

I did the attack phase of Dukan end of March and lost 5lbs in 3 days but then I went away for a few days, then it was Easter, then the Royal Wedding, then... then... any bloody excuse to eat and drink for England!!!

Anyway, started Attack again yesterday and am determined to lose about 2 stone. The stories on here (and the previous Onward Dukan Soldiers thread) are an inspiration and I don't know about anyone else but I find it a great help to have the support/encouragement of others in the same boat!

Good luck everyone and keep up the good work!

divadoll · 18/05/2011 08:12

seedlessgrape it DOES really help to know others are doing it at the same time but also to get ideas for subbing some of the things youre allowed to eat, so welcome aboard. I aim to be going all guns again soon as I am coasting a bit at the moment as have major upheavals indoors with decorating and refurbing kitchen as a feeble excuse to not eat as well as I should! By the end of the month though I will be back on track...

HeavyHeidi · 18/05/2011 08:13

Morning Dukan soldiers!

  • 0,5 kilo for me this morning, covered the cheating over the weekend and a bit more. A dress that I could wear before, but in all honesty was a bit too tight is fitting perfectly now. And I have a couple of fitted dressed waiting, that used to be way too tight but are now just about wearable, although making me look a bit like a sausage. But a few more cm..

This diet is not so difficult, is it? I find it definitely easier than calorie or point counting. Bit worried though cause I have a lot of parties and some business trips coming up, hopefully I won't ruin everything.

divadoll · 18/05/2011 09:51

heidi just keep away from the savoury biscuits/crisps and the sweet counter and dont worry too much about anything else. A little lapse will not blow your weight loss too much, but try not to make it an issue or you wont so much fall off the wagon as jump!

seedlessgrape · 18/05/2011 10:09

Good morning all and thanks for the welcome, diva.

Now on day three but have not weighed myself so I'm unable to report any loss at the moment. I would like to do five whole days of Attack and then weigh myself on Saturday; mainly because I have my period at the moment which generally means my weight fluctuates daily - I don't think I could deal with gaining anything during Attack; even an ounce would send me running for the wine/bread/wine/cheese/wine/nuts/wine/crisps... (yep, wine is my downfall!!).

seedlessgrape · 18/05/2011 10:10

Oh and well done Heidi :)

Dilligaf81 · 18/05/2011 18:38

Day 3 of Attack for me and 3.5 lbs down already (1.6kilos) which is great.
How long do you think I should do the Attack stage, I started at 10stone 3lbs and want to lose a stone ?

iS ANYONE EATING FRUIT MULLERLITE OR IS IT JUST THE VANILLA ?
Any inspration for dinner ?
Yesterday I made the turkey meatloaf and it was lovely.

Well done everyone.

Dilligaf81 · 18/05/2011 18:38

Soory for randon capital. Confused

Dilligaf81 · 18/05/2011 18:39

drr - should be random Blush

divadoll · 19/05/2011 08:41

Dilligaf if you only want to lose a stone then I would keep to the lemon or vanilla yogs as they will help you lose it quicker. With such a small amount to lose it will take ages unless you go hard core. It shouldnt take long though. I still have half a stone to lose but having been dieting since Xmas I am now to the cheating phase and am having the fruit ones. My weight has stabilised so will have to go hard core next month to shift that last bit!!!

Chelseahandfull · 19/05/2011 09:34

Just clocking in! Tomorrow will be the end of week 2. Am 10 lbs down, so going well. Have to admit to feeling quite odd in the mid afternoon/early evening - wanting to eat something unspecified and none by allowed things really hitting the spot, but have resisted and stuck to the prescribed list. Have stopped craving carbs but, oddly, am really finding the low fat bit hard. I had a treat a couple of days ago of a roasted quail and din't skin it (come on - how grim has life become if you skin quail!) and you should have seem me - I was like a ravenous caveman sucking every bit of yumminess off! Quite disgusting. Gosh I felt better afterwards though!
A mere 28.5 lbs left to go (sigh!)

HeavyHeidi · 19/05/2011 10:18

Hey Chelsea, you're like me - I lost about the same and yes, have about the same still to lose Confused
But we'll get there! Oh I miss my small clothes gathering dust in the wardrobe - and it's sooooo nice to get dressed every morning knowing you will look good even in a potatoe sack - nowadays it's more of a damage limitation exercise, finding something that does not make me look like a blob. But I'm seeing improvement already and we will look gorgeous when we're done.

If you are missing fat, what about some more salmon in your diet? That is quite fat, bul good fat. And I know oil is not really allowed, but adding some extra virgin to my salad has not slowed down the weight loss. you do need some fat, after all.

seedlessgrape · 19/05/2011 11:07

Oops... only lemon and vanilla Muller Lites?? Oh dear, I've been having all the different flavours.

Frenchchic · 19/05/2011 20:46

Hi Heidi, no I don't live in France - would so love to though! I have been having the Muller Lites still but think I'll change to the greek fat free yoghurts now as can't stand the sweetness of the Mullers anymore. This is pretty good news actually as never found them sweet before doing dukan. Also have had to cut down to half a splenda tab in my tea as finding a whole one too much now. Still don't appear to have lost anything, maybe a tiny bit of difference but am finding it so hard to find anything I want to eat on the protein days that I'm tending to eat hardly anything. This is probably putting my body on starvation fat-storing mode I suppose but sometimes just can't fact any more meat or quorn. Has anyone else found this? BTW, congrats to everyone who has lost some lbs!

Dilligaf81 · 19/05/2011 22:05

Clocking in day 4 and have lost 5lb's!!!!
Would it be ridiculous to stay on attack till I lose a stone ? (which is my target).
I though today would be tough as it's the 1st day not at work and on the diet but it was fine.
I had fat free fromage frais with a few drops of lemon essence and oat bran for brekkie.
Lunch was smoked peppered mackerel, 2 poached eggs and some ham.
Dinner was scallops cooked in chilli garlic with fat free natural yoghurt and coriander, it was yummy.

Im shocked I havent been hungry once and dont really miss Malteasers which I used to eat (at least) One family sized bag off a day.

25 days till Im 30 so hopefully will have lost the remaining 9 lbs by then.

seedlessgrape · 20/05/2011 10:36

Well done Dilligaf, that's great news :)

Not sure if you should continue on Attack until you reach target (although I have to say I'm tempted to do so for the first stone - only two to lose in total) as it is pretty unhealthy to go without vegetables for so long. The first Attack phase is supposed to be for a limited period only.

seedlessgrape · 20/05/2011 10:41

As for me I'm now into my 5th day but still haven't weighed myself.

Have to say that I am feeling extremely bloated today and I'm constipated.

The good news is that drinking 2L (plus) of water every day is making my skin glow.....!!

B4Beatrice · 20/05/2011 13:31

May I join please?

Have a long way to go (3st) so would love you guys to keep me on the straight and narrow!

Have lost 3lbs in 3 days on attack. Don't feel hungry, just a bit tired and headaches. Am not tempted at all to stop.

Can I ask what brand of yogurts you all eat?

Thanks Grin

sybilfaulty · 20/05/2011 13:37

Hello girls

Sorry to have been absent. Have been Dukan ing after a fashion, though have to be honest and admit to the odd glass of wine here and there. Am still losing though, albeit slowly.

I really would not do a stone's worth of attack, otherwise you may never poo again. I can't think that going without vegetables for that long can be a good thing. I am doing lots of protein and some veg, as I get too uncomfortable with the lack of poo otherwise.

Am still on the Mullers but vanilla and toffee only. We are allowed toffee, aren'twe? I tried the activia vanilla ones but did not like them!

Easier in the summer with lots of salad. Can't think how I will manage without baked potatoes come november but will cross that bridge when we come to it.
