Wynken broke the other thread!

Have been so busy at work, only in the door a few minutes. Haven't eaten yet, but weirdly not hungry.
Must have something otherwise will suddenly get ravenous.
Looks like everyone is doing ok though.
Am actually looking at Shred DVD (Still in its cellophane wrapping!)but too wrecked to start doing it today.

Don't be impressed with me RS, I'm still 6.5 pounds up on before xmas Blush Are you doing SW? If so perhaps the slices you are having as your HE are too big? When I was doing it on EE I used the little Hovis loaves and was allowed 2 slices of that a day.

I have promised my friend I'll go to FF on Weds though, so will have to try. Am in enial about the b it that said "side effect may be weight gain"!!!

Hope you all have a good weekend.

I have to go out in gale force winds in the dark now to get DS1 from youthgroup (I knew he wouldn't dare walk home on his own!!!)

hi guys, just logging in briefly while the boys all watch Karate Kid (I want them to get to bed!!)

weighed in at FF this morning after 2 weeks and am 5lb downGrin, I really struggled with the exercises this morning though, as my meds are making me disorientated. We have to weigh in on Monday next week, so I need to up my game, and stick to it over half term as no classHmm They are pushing low GI at the class, so will have a look at that, though I really don't like new potatoes all that much!

hope you're all doing great.Smile

Nice weight losses!
I managed 2.5 at my class last night so my plan of back to basics/ writing it down seems to have worked. 17.5lbs in total, so I'm on my way to the first half stone of stone number 2! (If that makes sense)

Remember being here before though, just need to keep motivation up up up

(Meh, I'm knackered though so no Body Magic for me)

Yay for the losses, I went to WI on Thursday and lost another 2, so only 4.5 to go till I am back at my pre-xmas lightest.

Hi all

Can I please join your thread?

I'm new to Slimming World, can't fit in going to classes due to crazy bonkers work hours, so have bought books off ebay and gonna try to do it myself at home. Parents have also done this and inspired me by losing just over a stone since January.

Kinda hoping I can get support/encouragement usually gained from going to classes from here instead?!

Books arrive from ebay in the week so whenever they turn up will be my weigh day.

Losing weight is on my list of things to do before TTC, along with getting engaged and then married, both of which I reckon are greatly helped by losing weight!

4st to lose, and hopefully will crack it by the end of 2011 so 2012 can be wedding and 2013 baby.....

Welcome JCHNB, its a bit quieter on here than it usually is at the moment. Not sure where everyone has gone. 4st should be doable, I lost 3st on SW but have since defected to WW, still have a fair way to go. SW is good if you make sure that you get the healthy extras right (i.e. don't underestimate the amount of bread you have etc.) and make sure you do the 3rd of a plate superfree. Good Luck Grin

Hi all, glad to see everyone is doing OK. I haven't been here much but still doing fine. Have lost 42.5lbs now and going for another 1-2lbs tomorrow. I'm sure I will have various hiccups along the way but do find it is now far more part of my daily routine and takes less brain power than it did. WW suits me far more than SW, I lose more consistently on it. Still going to SW meeting for WI though. One of the girls there has lost 8.5 stone in 39 weeks, the difference in her is amazing !

I'm just starting to fit size 16 bottoms now which is brilliant compared to my old size 22's and my huge boobs will just go into an 18. Am actually looking forward to the summer as I will be able to just go into a shop and buy clothes rather than go to Evans which I loath with a passion.

Hi, can I join your thread. I have joined slimming world tonight. I am 15 stone 6 lbs and size 18-20. I previously joined about this time last year but found it really hard having to take a baby and toddler to weigh in with me and could never stay to the class. I have tried a couple of times over the last year to do it on my own as I know what to do but manage to lose a stone before losing motivation. Didn't know what I weghed before I went and was pleased that it was the same as when I started SW last year, had feared it could be a lot more.

DH is back from work in time for me to go to WI and stay to class and I thought this thread might give me some extra support and motivation in between.

Hello...

So I finally got my SW starter pack from Ebay. Just cooked up some roast veg and cous cous for tomorrow's lunch box.

Bit stuck on breakfast though. I'm doing the extra easy plan - can I have porridge?

Am also going to try doing a Davina 30min workout later, though this may be postponed til Thursday!

Also what's the deal with alcohol? When I did WW vodka diet coke was the best drink. What are your suggestions for SW?

xx

Hi, moving over to this thread from the dukan one! I did slimming world for about 6 weeks last year and lost about 10lbs. Got fed up feeling like I needed to do a quicker "crash" diet as it felt a bit slow and since then Ive lost a bit more on various types of diet like that - but not loads and when I think about it, if I had stuck with SW I would have lost more by now! Blush

So I've joined the online version and just finished day 2. Bit of a bad week to start as lots of eating out planned too Confused but Ill try my best!

Have lost about 2 stone in total now since dc3 born 5 months ago and another stone and a half to get to my pre pregnancy weight.

Going to the rainforest cafe with the kids tomorrow - absolutely no idea what to eat... I can't find any nutritional info anyway!

Hope you're all having good SW weeks Smile

Didn't get to join Slimming World last night due to the fact that as well as working full time I look after an elderly relative a couple of nights a week, was supposed to be my night off last night but had to swap. Am annoyed because really wanted to start today. Have decided to try EE so any menu suggestions would be appreciated. Already have one option for lunch -- borrowed from Lulu:):)

Oh dear, what have I done. My Mum has caved in after me telling her how supportive my SW group is and us coming next week. She's bound to forget they aren't supposed to know I'm doing WW and grass me up!

I will have to get my head back into EE mode to help her. I like pasta with smoked salmon, onion, mushroom and garlic with half fat creme fraiche (syns) and salad side dish . Burger made with extra lean mince, new pots and veg, jacket spud with cottage cheese and cucumber salad, lentil soup.

Having Protein for breakfast really fills me up and I don't bother with cereal any more.

WI today and a 2.5lb loss helped by D&V, 3 stone 4.5lbs so am well pleased. I treated myself to new knickers today which are size 16, huge improvement to size 22. Can't get into all size 16s yet but can a few and it's the first time since DD was born, she's 12 now.

First weigh in after starting SW at home.... lost 1/2 lb!!

I know it's not amazing, but trust me, I've had Friday - Sunday off as had lots of birthday celebrations and meals out (incl. cake and booze), so any weight lost is a bonus!

Gonna stick to it religiously this week to see if the lbs will be falling off. Can't get over the carbs though - WW hated carbs, but SW seems to not worry about quantity?

Joined SW yesterday at 16st 7lbs Blush

Started the Extra Easy plan today - so far so good.

Don't get much for yer sins though do you?

Am doing this so I can run the Race For Life thing I am doing in June. Need to get some weight off as I want to run it. Started "Couch Potato to 5k" yesterday - it very nearly killed me Grin
