Wynken broke the other thread!

Have been so busy at work, only in the door a few minutes. Haven't eaten yet, but weirdly not hungry.
Must have something otherwise will suddenly get ravenous.
Looks like everyone is doing ok though.
Am actually looking at Shred DVD (Still in its cellophane wrapping!)but too wrecked to start doing it today.

thanks mrswoodentop. every bloody year when my parents go away, one of the boys does something. And italways happens when I'm on my own with themSad

AuntieDoris · 13/01/2011 21:35

Yay. I lost 5lbs on my first week. Kind of miraculous because I only really stuck to the plan for 4 days because it took me that long to get my head around it.

MickeyMixer · 13/01/2011 22:04

happynewRia - hope your DS is soon on the mend. My DD did something similar last summer - she looked worse than it was though I think.

Congratulations lucky MrsWoodenTop.

Hi Unicornlover - smashing to 'meet' you - I have 9 1/2 stone to lose so you're in good company.

COLESLAW, My recipe sounds the same or similar to those suggested - don't know what went wrong. Anyway I've boiled it up in chicken stock and so now it'll be 'freeish' soup for tomorrow's lunch.

Are mullerlights still free from syns btw?

Unicornlover · 13/01/2011 22:08

mullerlights are still free as thats what i have for breakfast.

upsydaisysexstylist · 14/01/2011 08:44

Hugs for Rhia, I did something similar at age 4 and all I rember is being allowed to eat lollies, jelly and ice cream a lot ooh and the statue of Dick Whitington outside the hospital.

Have lost 1and a half lb this week so hoping for 2 by next weigh in so I get my 3st award, then I am nearly half way there! Feel a slight fraud as am sure a good third of my loss is down to ds2's hollow legs and not my willpower

GandTiceandaslice · 14/01/2011 10:27

well done on all the weigh losses! Grin

happynewRia · 14/01/2011 10:59

poor boy won't eat lollies upsySad, might try jelly later. he is a bit perkier today, and has packed his raisins to go to playgroup after lunch, so he must not be feeling too bad.

Good news - parents arrived safely in Brisbane, and no floods at the airport. Am hoping they work out how to WiFi their netbook and will email me tonight.

Just had half a grapefuit and a boiled egg. It feels a very refined way of eating breakfastWink

whatkungfuthat · 14/01/2011 12:58

Oh your poor little DS Ria (my DS1 did this age 3 but fell teeth-first onto a table top) Hope he is on the mend.

Nothing to report on the weight front as DP is home sick and sluglike on sofa so I can't Wii or Shred so scared to weigh myself

MickeyMixer · 14/01/2011 14:41

I've just made the Waitrose Borlotti Bean and Savoy Cabbage Soup from the latest Waitrose Magazine (also online btw). It is delicious and free of syns on Slimming World Extra Easy too!! Mmmmmmmmmmm

happynewRia · 16/01/2011 21:35

dreading WI tomorrow as have been seriously crapBlush

am pretty well organised for being back on-plan tomrrow though. Am not giving in just yet.

Furball · 17/01/2011 07:17

How is everyone? I made a lovely Morrocan Lamb which I had on green so HE2 the lamb - was delicious - although DH and DS didn't like it! [bovvered?] Wink

I prefer green days - was starving after roast turkey lunch yesterday so had jacket and beans and HE1 cheese for tea [greedy]

Any ideas for Red day lunches, difficult if you can't have free carbs?

Sorry you're struggling atm ria - hopefully you can draw a line and get back to it soon Smile

upsydaisysexstylist · 17/01/2011 10:35

Ria, chin up new week new resolve. Furball I haven't even tried red days weighed out the pasta for a b choice looked at it and decided I couldn't eat enough meat not to be hungry, someone in my group has mashed celariac instead of potato though. Soup and omlettes are all that spring to mind for lunch

happynewRia · 17/01/2011 10:35

am very lucky to be weighing in with a maintain today.

just had half a grapefruit and 2 boiled eggs.

I always struggled with red days furball. In tthat respect EE is much better, but I find not being able to snack on SW chips a pain.

here's to a good week!

GandTiceandaslice · 17/01/2011 11:20

I lost 2lbs today. My 1st week! Grin

I am now exactly 10 stone.

I'm not having enough stns though so I'm going to try & up them this week.

GandTiceandaslice · 17/01/2011 11:20

syns

LacksDaisies · 17/01/2011 11:51

Helloo...can I join in...again?

I'm going to a new group tonight and thought the extra motivation would help.

I lost a stone last year and posted on the SW thread back then, but I have been pretty ill sonce around June last year and piled it all back on, plus medication I was taking helped me to another 1.5 stone Sad. I am now heavier than I was in any of my 3 pregnancies and have 5 stone to lose to take me to the middle of the healthy weight range for my height

I was going to try and do it myself, as I have all the books, but I know that I need the extra help and motivation that a class can bring. I'd love to up my fitness levels, but I have LOs so getting the time is difficult and I'm starting a new job soon which means I'll be working evenings....excuses excuses.

But, we walked nearly 3 miles yesterday so that's a start I suppose; although not sure if it counts when walking at toddler pace Wink

does anyone here take their kids to group with them? I'm going to do the evening classes for the minute but when I start this job, I'll need to find a daytime class. Do they discourage children or would it be OK?

Off to read a bit of the thread for some motivation....but so far today I've had some porridge made with water for breakfast, an apple, a banana and a bacon omelette for brunch (couldn't stave off the hunger pangs till lunchtime Blush) Lunch is a bit of a mystery as to what I can have though as I only decided to do it today so have nothing "suitable" in.....

Oooops, huge post...I'm a bit of a chatterbox!

Furball · 17/01/2011 11:58

Oh bugger - just been to stir me lovely beef stew in the slow cooker and............I forgot to turn the plug socket on Blush

Luckily we won't be eating til 6 so will still be long enough

happynewRia · 17/01/2011 13:49

hi daisy yay, you got the jobSmile come and join us on the 5 stone plus thread too.

I just had a HUGE stir fry. Am sure I wouldn't have eaten that much on a non-SW dayBlush

seriously bored and lacking in motivation for life... plus need to open up that OU box that's lurking down the side of the PC desk.

at least your stew isn't burnt beyond consumption furball.

LacksDaisies · 17/01/2011 14:46

is there a 5 stone plus thread too Ria?

must look it up!

Furball · 17/01/2011 19:00

stew was delicious! had it on a green day with a mountain of mash boiled potatoes

I had a chicken noodle mugshot today which was free and filled a hole although I don't usually eat such tat that sort of thing food wise - The chicken noodle one is free on green and extra easy Smile

happynewRia · 17/01/2011 19:14

glad your stew was nice. I have had a jacket spud with chilli and salad and SW coleslaw.

and I now have the shivers and an unfortuate churning feeling Sad Will go to bed early and try and sleep the feeling away. Don't much fancy spweing when in sole charge of the kids (squeamish DS1, borderling OCD DS2 and very inquisite DS3)

feeling ill aside, I am narked 'cos DH is working when he said he wouldn't be, so I couldn't go to the new zumba clas, even if I wanted to. GRRRR!

oh hell, DS3 just made a beeline for his potty again. I hope it's not the beginnings of a bug... (especially when he could really do with going to nursry tomorrow)

GandTiceandaslice · 17/01/2011 22:15

LacksDaisies...I take my DS to class. But I don't stay! He is counts on fingers 21 months old & a little devil.
I need to go & get weighed though for motivation.
I also paid for a 12 week count down so I HAVE to go or I will have wasted my money.
I've just done my 1st session of 30 day shred. It was quite hard easy.

LacksDaisies · 17/01/2011 23:19

1st class done and 12 week countdown bought and paid for! I have actually got almost 5.5 stones (or 75lbs to be exact) to lose although at a steady loss of 1.5lbs a week that should only take me 50 weeks...so I may even be at target by next Christmas? Am utterly determined to do it though so I'm definately here for the long haul Mickey Smile

I also dropped into the supermarket to make sure I had everything I needed so no excuses for eating half a pound of cheese for lunch tomorrow!!

And this consultant runs a morning class to which it'll be fine to take DS2, but he is 26 months and also a devil; and a very noisy shouty devil at that so we shall see how it goes. I'm going to carry on with the evening class for as long as I can though.

upsydaisysexstylist · 18/01/2011 06:59

I take ds2, 6months, but he mainly sits there or distracts everyone with his comedy attempts at crawling. Think I am going to have to leave him at home with daddy soon

LacksDaisies · 18/01/2011 09:39

yes, they're great at the non moving about stage; so portable!

class leader says the morning class is like a playgroup! Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing as DS has developed the habit of taking instant dislikes to certain children and is a bit thuggish Blush

So far so good this morning. Porridge made with water in the proper scottish manner, with a teaspoon of honey and a banana in to sweeten (usually I layer it thick with sugar Blush)

Questions so far....in the book, most of the cereal HEs have an oat/scan bran or a crispbread included. I can't eat anything like that as I'm a coeliac. Can I just add a bit extra cereal? I did have more oats this morning, but have listed it as a syn, but could I take the syn value of the crispbread etc and have the equivalent value extra in oats?

Also, I usually get the 1% fat milk, so it's neither skimmed nor semi skimmed. Can I have a bit more of it or still stick to the 250ml SS allowance?
