Wynken broke the other thread!

Have been so busy at work, only in the door a few minutes. Haven't eaten yet, but weirdly not hungry.
Must have something otherwise will suddenly get ravenous.
Looks like everyone is doing ok though.
Am actually looking at Shred DVD (Still in its cellophane wrapping!)but too wrecked to start doing it today.

Furball · 10/01/2011 08:01

cous cous made with veg stock - with roasted aubergine, courgette, tomato and feta cheese (he1) stirred through

GandTiceandaslice · 10/01/2011 13:24

Started back today.
Am 10st 2lbs.
Target will be 8st 9lbs.
If my maths is correct that's 20lbs to lose.

happynewRia · 10/01/2011 13:31

furball, does the quiche taste "cheesy"?

had a rotten weekend here, immediately after DS2s party on Saturday lunchtime I was struck with migraine, which is only just going nowSad. Needless to say, what I have eaten has been what I fancied and not SW-friendlyBlush, but I am Grin to be logging on with a first week loss of 5lb. Which in turn has given me the motivation to carry on, although am off-plan today as still feeling yukky and can't face preparing food.

great to see the thread so busySmile

Furball · 10/01/2011 15:09

ria - can't remember it's been years since I've eaten it.

You could grate an oz of strong chddeddar on the top to add to the cheese factor.

you can also make it with those pasta/sauce mixes so it has pasta in too and there must be a cheese flavour one of those.

Google slimming world quiche and you'll get a million and one different recipes (all syn free!)

Furball · 10/01/2011 15:10

ria - well done to you on you FAB loss! Grin

happynewRia · 10/01/2011 18:31

thanks furball. I don't eat cheese, so maybe better sticking to frittata type things.

FoJo · 10/01/2011 19:23

thank you so much for that melty

Lulumaam · 10/01/2011 20:48

hello my darlings ! > did you miss me? Grin

after a stupendous xmas of eating, drinking , partying and merriment, I went for my first weigh in tonight and had gained only 2.5 lbs ! !

am pleased !

I think i subconciously ate SW friendly meals and certainly not as much rubbish as previous years

so 4 lbs to go and my two stone award

hope all is well, i now need a good hour to catch up with you all Blush

MummyCherry · 10/01/2011 21:00

Hello
I have been doing slimming world since sept, and lost a stone so far. I have PCOS and underactive thyroid, so this is excellent going for me.
I will say i have done ww and slim fast, both of which i was hungey on and when i stopped my weight not only went back on but more too!

MummyCherry · 10/01/2011 21:01

Has anyone got any god ideas for replacing snacks???

GandTiceandaslice · 10/01/2011 21:18

MummyCherry, if you are following the SW plan then there are loads of snacks you can have for free.
HB eggs & some salad.
Fruit.
Couscous salad.
Pasta salad.

I do green days. If you do the others then your free snacks might be different.

Don't forget, if you feel snacky, have a glass of water & wait half hour & see if you really are hungry. I need to follow that rule as well. Hmm

happynewRia · 10/01/2011 21:49

can I ask about classes and the website? DO you get a new PIN every week for the website? How does it work now there's no password?

whatkungfuthat · 11/01/2011 08:20

Morning everyone, very well done Ria! Envy Love the entrance Lulu! Can I just be a pain and have a quick round up of those who are doing WW? I know Wynken is PP'ing as well as working out SW syns but have lost track of who the other WW ladies are, thanks Grin

GandTiceandaslice · 11/01/2011 09:37

happynewRia, from what I can work out, you get your own pin number & your card number.
You put both of those into the SW website. Then you put in your e-mail address & a password.
Then when you reenter the site you just need your e-mail address & PW.

Yesterday went well for me but I didn't have any syns.

happynewRia · 11/01/2011 10:00

thanks G&T.

I am doing SW ATM. I seemed to get my head around it better last week, and it's good to have a change! (and I'm prone to having too much bread on WW)

not too well again today (crippling stomach cramps and backache), but that explains the migraine. Am heading back to bed with my wheat bag as soon as DH is out of the bath and downstairs to be with DS3 (who is skiving nursery again). Am missing my dance classSad, have a meeting at DS1s school tonight, but hope to menu/shopping plan later and shop tomorrow. Can't decide whether to do Asda online, or go to Morrisons tomorrow.

Lulumaam · 11/01/2011 14:11

Once oyu have logged in as a member, you can log in to the SW website as a whole with those details, the individual class site has a changing weekly password

MickeyMixer · 11/01/2011 18:31

Starting slimming world tomorrow night with my hb after a break of two years! Having a spectacularly bad for us 'last supper' tonight Mmmmmm Grin

GandTiceandaslice · 11/01/2011 21:42

MickeyMixer, I started SW (again Hmm) on Monday.
The utter shite I ate on Sunday was amazing!

Right, 2 days in...have had no Syns.

I've struggled to have my 2nd HeB today. Am on the green plan.

happynewRia · 11/01/2011 22:08

I do so enjoy the last supperWink

is not a good idea to mix PMT/hormonal bad-tempered mother with parents evening! How I wish I was of the "making a fuss" typeWink

haven't planned my week yet, but I will have all day tomorrow to do it, and I'm sure I can manage breakfast and lunch OK with what I have in. My parents fly to Brisbane tomorrow until the end of February, so I am a bit Sad

Melty · 11/01/2011 22:24

Tomorrow Ria?
Are they going to get there ok, with the flooding and everything? I know they have been evacuating Brisbane subburbs. One of my friends who lives there, (on a big hill, thank God), has not been to work for a couple of days as there is a good chanace of not getting home.

OP posts:
happynewRia · 11/01/2011 22:57

I know Melty! They have cancelled their accommodation for the first 3 days of their trip as it was riverside. They leave Manchester tomorrow and so far have not been told that Brisbane airport is closed, so (hopefully) they will land, work out their best option and find somewhere to stay. They are better people than me - I couldn't cope with the stress! They have a tour that they are going on where they are having to fly twice instead of coach travel because of the flooding. I will be happy when they get to my sister's house in NZ!

TBH, I SO want to lose some weight this time before they get back (they have been to Dsis's this time of year for 4 out of the last 7 years maybe, and I haven't managed it yet - I see them most days in the winter and at least once a week in the summer, so DM will notice!), but I will have to avoid all news reports etc. to avoid panic eating.

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 12/01/2011 17:46

Kungfu, I have failed rather spectacularly on the counting syns bit and am just pping. Am still going to my SW group though.

Welcome to all newcomers and those back for 2011. I am trying to get off my ample arse more so haven't been checking in as much. I anticipate that resolution will have worn off by next week!

whatkungfuthat · 12/01/2011 19:52

Me too Wynken (pping), that is when I am not sabotaging myself with jammie dodgers Blush
DP is off sick this week so can't exercise as easily either. Need to get my arse in gear for Monday. Got the Michael Jackson thing for the Wii, not my sort of thing as I have zero natural rythym!

Lulumaam · 12/01/2011 19:54

am having a fish week ! had prawns and greens and soy sauce for lunch, poached salmon for dinner and will do same again tomorrow. was getting too reliant on red meat and chicken all the time.

really want to get 4 lbs off this week to hit the 2 stone mark

GandTiceandaslice · 12/01/2011 20:58

ermm, anyone else get constiapted when they start SW? Blush

I had forgotten this side effect Grin
