Wynken broke the other thread!

Have been so busy at work, only in the door a few minutes. Haven't eaten yet, but weirdly not hungry.
Must have something otherwise will suddenly get ravenous.
Looks like everyone is doing ok though.
Am actually looking at Shred DVD (Still in its cellophane wrapping!)but too wrecked to start doing it today.

where is everyone?? had a fab day out shopping with dd1, and bought myself some lovely undies that fit 2" back size smaller, yay.
dd1 had McDonalds, I had a chicken and rice thingy from marks, some sushi, was lovely, now cooking chicken and chorizo rissoto for tea but realised it is only half as many points as I calculated since it will make 4 portions. so I can have it again tommorow.

Lulumaam · 19/11/2010 17:11

hey dita, lovely girl, how are you?

have also shrunk 2 inches across the back and one cup size. Am getting visible collarbones !

Have had many MANY compliments, am rather pleased.

Going shopping with my Mum on monday. My dad just bought a convertible, so I am going to make her buy cats eye sunglasses and a silk scarf for her hair ! I am getting my Uggs i hope, if they're in stock

the jeans i've had for 2 weeks need a belt Shock

i am a bit shell shocked really

tonigt we're having steak with the creamy sauce in the SW calendar with Sw chips and green veg.

ditavonteesed · 19/11/2010 17:33

new uggs how exciting, my new boots came yesterday and they are so warm. as you have probably worked out by now I loe the idea of bog glasses and scarf in a convertible, preferably something cheery red.
I dont think I look any different but dh says that is becaus3e I have a bad body image.
your dinner sounds lovely.

upsydaisysexstylist · 19/11/2010 17:53

My6 other half keeps calling me the slimcia girl a reference lost on me due to the age gap, however think ant weight loss takes a while to get used to, any ants probably have better body images tha humans.
Feeling old as did not understand jargon at a school open day and kept asking what they mean, story sequencing anyone. Also on toliet training wk 2 so cannot lose track of time on the internet

nikki1978 · 19/11/2010 18:11

I am starting SW tomorrow - going to a meeting in the morning. A friend lost 4 and a half stone in 30 weeks on this recently and now has a 28 inch waist so I am hopping on the bandwagon Grin

Annoyingly I lost 4.5 stone for my wedding 2 years ago and have put on 3 in the last 18 months Blush so I want to get back to where I was (9 stone 7 and I am 5ft 3).

Is it a hard diet to do? I am pretty busy so don't have much time to spend in the kitchen (plus I am rubbish at cooking) so I am hoping it won't be too much cooking from scratch!

Any tips? Am hoping to lose 3 stone by around June/July next year. Is that doable? 12st 7ish at the moment....

Lulumaam · 19/11/2010 18:22

I knew that would be your cup of tea, dita !
ditto re body image. My arse must be literally half the size, yet my mind has not caught up to it. ifyswim. Mentally, am still big fat heifer moo cow. Hmm but am getting there. I've always taken pride in my appearance (apart from getting fat!) always done my hair, worn make up, lovely clothes/shoes etc.but had not really felt 'comfortable' in myself for a while.. now i am trying to stop myslef automatically reaching for the XL clothes or whatever. It takes a while to catch up i think.

Nikki, it is easy, but you do need some degree of organisation.. for instance , I made soup on tuesday that i've eaten tues, weds, thurs & today for lunch as my superfree.. had it with various other things, but had the soup as the bulk of the meal.

if in doubt, stick to extra easy, where you can mix more carbs&protein.

fruit is your friend, as are fat free yoghurts and water /diet drinks

Lulumaam · 19/11/2010 18:22

yes, that weight loss v doable, i'm 9 weeks in and lost 25.5 lbs.

whatkungfuthat · 19/11/2010 18:48

Hi Nikki, I lost 3 stone since July so definitely doable, OH has lost 2.5 stone Smile

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 19/11/2010 18:56

Everyone is doing much better than me. I'm 25lns since the middle of July. Can I ask of any of you are over 40 and if so, are you finding it much slower than it used to be to shift the weight?

DontCallMeBaby · 19/11/2010 19:01

I seem to have the opposite problem with body image - for some unknown reason mine has always been quite good, so the body I'm seeing in the mirror now is the one I kind of thought I had all along. Which is nice, but just as non-motivating as thinking you're still fat, because I don't feel much different.

However I am also starting to question the fit of my bras. Which is ... potentially expensive. Confused

Nikki I started at 12st 7lb at the beginning of September and am now 11st 4.5lb, so at that rate 9st 7lb would be achievable by June/July - and I'm not the fastest 'loser' here either. I'm not aiming that low myself though, I've got a big head and big boobs, I'd look like a lollipop person at that weight. Grin

nikki1978 · 19/11/2010 19:12

Thanks all! DCMB I am a pear shape so I just have a giant bum and thighs which need evening out! At 9st 7 I was a size 12 which I am happy with as I like to be slim but a bit curvy.

I had a look at the diet and think I like the sound of extra easy for now. I am not a huge fan of pasta anymore after getting a D&V bug the day I ate spag bog so I think red would be easier for me later on down the line - is it right that extra easy is just to be used at the start or has anyone lost all their weight on it?

findingtheRialme · 19/11/2010 21:14

well done on the WW lossSmile WF

welcome to newbies.

I am feeling lumpy and bloated ATM but have firmly taken myself in hand before the weekend! (for a change) Have been manically "spring" cleaning today so have a reasonable amount of exercise under my belt.

Envy of smaller underwear.

have a great weekend.

whatkungfuthat · 20/11/2010 07:48

Wynken, I'm over 40...but not in my head!

Lulumaam · 20/11/2010 08:48

am 35 wynken. wanted to lose the weight now because i thought it would be harder later and didn't want to carry on gaining for years...

also, I have never done a proper weight loss plan ( i did SW 6 or so years ago but for about 3 weeks.. so not counting that !) so i think that is another reason it's coming off quick, i;ve never yo yoed in weight

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 20/11/2010 08:57

Mmm, interesting. I hadn't really thought about my yoyo dieting history, I guess that will make a difference as has messed with my metabolism over the years. I'm a little cross with my consultant at the moment, I don't think they should be encouraging anyone to aim for more than 2lbs a week. I had two weeks of trying to achieve 3lbs each week and didn't manage, which sent me scurrying off to try WW and bingeing. I was quite happy with pootling along at an average of 1.5lbs and am trying to get back to that frame of mind that I was in before she started chucking 3lb losses into the equation. I'm nearly there but cross with myself that my total loss for November is currently 2lbs with only a week to go and I'm not going to get to 2.5stone by Christmas now.

Melty · 20/11/2010 10:04

Morning everyone. Black cloud seems to have lifted. Yay. Thank goodness as my evening diet this week has been mainly thick white bread cheese sandwiches with butter.
Am feeling motivated again so hopefully back on track.
Will try not to get too down after weigh in on monday, but you know, even with all the crap non nutricious food, I didn't eas as much as I normally would have.
So perhaps my brain is not soo bad after all.
I remembered the jeans that used to fit me from new look (which naturally they don't make any more!) But I managed to buy a pair of practically new ones (they are called Hula) on ebay.
I got a size 16 and they are a bit too big!
I think that says more about New Look sizing than anything else, but I have chucked out all my 18 jeans, so that has to be a good thing!

EE really does work, provided you make sure you have superfree at each meal.

findingtheRialme · 20/11/2010 10:20

good to have you "back" MeltySmile

Am very glad I don't like cheese!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 20/11/2010 11:02

Wahey Melty, a size 16 that is too big, result !!!

Lulumaam · 20/11/2010 14:43

hey melty.. glad to hear it xx

our consultant tells us 2lbs a week is achievable but any loss is great and maintaining is fine and ther eis no shame in a gain, so all bases covered really !

if you have a week of gaining/maintaining, she asks if oyu need extra support, what would oyu like to lose next week, how can she and the group help..

she's great

ditavonteesed · 21/11/2010 08:02

glad your back to yourself melty, according to the wii I have put on 2lbs this week, which is uber pants since I have actually stuck to the new plan even on the bad day I pointed everything up and took it out of my weekly allowance. still got another 2 days till weigh in so will have to see but am not holding out much hope.
Wynken I am the same, have always bveen on some diet or other since i was about 20, always lost weight and always put it straight back on again.
Am going to try and have a sort out of my clothes later and see what I have got that I can get into, that should up the motivation a bit.

nikki1978 · 21/11/2010 08:59

Well I joined yesterday and weighed in at 12st 7 as expected. I have put my goal down as 9st and I have a xmas target of losing my first stone so 5 weeks to get there :)

The group was ok but she just seemed to spend the whole time speaking to every individual person there asking how their week has been and what they wanted to lose this week. Found it very boring - the consultant is lovely and very bubbly but being that it takes 2 hours out of my morning to get there stay for the meeting and get home I am not keen on staying every week.

This morning I have had two small slices of wholemeal bread with 1/2 a teaspoon of Clover lighter on each, baked beans, fried egg and a few satsumas so am nice and full :)

Lunches will be where I struggle I think as I hate salad but since I am doing EE this week I will stick with jacket spud and tuna.

Hoping for a good loss this week - I am going to try and do some more walking to get me started with exercise.

Lulumaam · 21/11/2010 09:54

fairly bad day yesterday Blush half a chocolate orange & a chinese.. reckon about 35 sns all told. so back on the superfree soup for 48 hours !!

well, after my breakfast of scrambled egg on toast. need to go and buy more satsumas too , no fruit in the house !!

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 21/11/2010 10:41

Bad day for me yesterday too as went to friend's for curry. Had some of those smaller size popadoms, dips, a quarter of nan bread and two sausages. So am going to be very good for rest of week.

upsydaisysexstylist · 21/11/2010 11:53

The weather is not helping with the slimming efforts, craving stoge badly especially scince ds1 crashed at 5pm yesterday and consequently got up at 4.40 this morning. My parenting style was very much yes you can whatch a DVD but pick a long one so mummy can lie on the sofa. Irony is Ds2 likes a lie in till nearly 9.
I'm not sure about age and slimming progress, but am nearly back to weight I was pre all my pregnancies and my measurements are different, smaller bust and thicker waist. Think I am losing weight from the top dowm as waist now 13 inches smaller than hips, as DP wonders why I am wearing skirts.
Sorry for mamoth post but DP and DS have buggered off to Leeds so only have ds2 and he is happy to sit and wave limbs at me.
Feel better about my resolve since deciding I am having a 20 syn day, and will be making a vat of minestrone

Lulumaam · 21/11/2010 14:17

i find that too , upsa, want comfort food!

But determined to keep up weight loss until Xmas. 5 weigh ins left. could easily lose another 8 - 10 lbs which would make a world of difference to me .

today, i had my scrambled eggs, nothing for superfree as run out of everything !!

for lunch I had an open steak sandwich, two pieces lean steak, cooked to rare, with an oxo cube and a bit of water to make 'gravy' served on a piece of nimble, with celery & tomato salad. followed by lots of fruit and diet coke.

tonight we'll be having roast chicken with green veg and jacket potatoes and i've just made more tomato & Pepper soup with extra shallots and celery for more free /super free.

a cup of that will ward off the munchies
