I tried again with MMP today as I'm now back home. The purchase went ok but I was rejected by their extended payment scheme partner. I can't afford £225 in one go so back to Cloud where I pay more but can stagger the payments over time!

I payit via my credit card and then each week transfer over 1/4 - is that possible me @Puppylucky

Thanks for the suggestion @Blondeshavemorefun it's a good idea! I ordered from Cloud in the end but may revisit next month as it is such a good deal and it doesn't look like anyone else is following suit.

Oushk have left everyone confused with another live with the bundles and how they fit with maintenance and their complicated pricing structures. I think (though I may be wrong) -

Single pens - prices, delivery, discount codes as usual.

Maintenance + Single pens - for lower doses maintenance might still be best price.

Bundles - New bundles prices, can choose from one delivery or pens in two deliveries. If you use not signed for you can get split delivery for £4.39 for each delivery. If you use a split delivery you can change the date and/or strength of second pen. Only special Bundles discount codes can be used with Bundles - there will be an extra £5 off code on Monday.

Maintenance + Bundles - Can't use maintenance £25/off for bundles, but if you buy a bundle you get free delivery as long as it is not signed for option (maybe not on lower doses, that wasn't clear)

They’ve offered refunds for their maintenance plans in Oushk points, if anyone has paid the £5 and would prefer to use bundles. Although, if you get free delivery over 12 months for £5, it’s probably better to keep the "plan" running. What I find odd is that they seem to have completely airbrushed out the importance they previously placed on everyone signing up to a maintenance plan. The way it was originally presented it was about prescriber approval, safety in maintenance and lower BMIs, ongoing support during maintenance, GPhC needed etc. which all comes at a cost 🤔, whereas now it seems to have been reduced to being all about the discount.

They are bringing in a Save and Subscribe option in a week or so. Where you commit to buying a bundle but pay per pen (still confirming details with bank as bank need to save details for the second pen payment).

Amazon deliveries from Monday. Amazon Prime members don't get free delivery as they still pick up from the pharmacy. Not sure how much this will be, but being sold as a more reliable delivery service.

MMP is still miles cheaper. But looking at what others are bringing out, which are not in MMP range, a bit lower than the Oushk offer, it still looks like MMP is just too good to be true long term.

I think places like Oushk are operating on a large profit margin. The owner certainly has a lovely lifestyle! MMP seem to operate on a finer profit margin, they have always been cheaper than the competition

@raisemyheartrate MMP's business model seems to be high volume prescribing using a fixed PGD (patient group directive) - where normal pharmacists prescribe to the PGD. Whereas Oushk have more expensive independent pharmacists who can prescribed based on their own clinical judgement - which in theory makes it more costly to prescribe as takes more time to document clinical decisions.

Sounds nice in theory but there doesn't seem to be any point paying a premium for a service with independent prescribers if you are a standard patient with no significant medical health issues that need extra care and you don't get any additional benefits. We are no longer in 2024 when patients thought they needed all the bells and whistles with these medicaitons.

Plus with their issues with the GPhC they seem to be more fixed in their prescribing than they were in the beginning when they were smaller and say they are tied to the 30 day pen in use window and less than 6 weeks for reordering, when other pharmacies can be more flexible.
