Reddit is saying price reduction is coming and MMP just had a 9pm TikTok live to say new prices midnight tonight

I can’t shop around, can’t risk not getting it when I’m on maintenance now for over a year. I used the golden dose for a month and was made to start dosing from the beginning.

I suspect it's dynamic pricing because of the new Wegovy tablets being g so much cheaper. More choice can only be a good thing to drive down prices.

Nobody is on Reta because it isn’t licensed or being manufactured anywhere so what they’re actually taking is illegal drugs that could be full of anything inc. arsenic and propping up criminal gangs. Pathetic really.

I did a search and the rumour is an incoming 14% price drop on wholesale price. Pharmacies will hopefully be pressured to pass on that drop to consumers because of the fierce price competition they have. Fingers crossed!

It’s a disaster because a lot of people have turned to other sources. The sources you hear about on the news. And why wouldn’t they when they can get 60mg for circa £100. There has been a massive influx of people to that community and it hasn’t shown signs of slowing down.

Well, it’s only six hours and thirty eight minutes since the announcement which was at midnight on a Bank Holiday Weekend for some of the UK and it’s still ninety six minutes until normal working hours of nine am so they haven’t had that much opportunity really.

15mg down to £229 from £266. Two pens are just double the price, no extra saving.

Only £27 more than their 7.2mg of wegovy!

watch out for this, it might be an Eli Lilly Direct thing that has dropped the prices. Not great for us who order every 8 weeks 🙁

Price cuts are good - possible new rules about order frequency are not good! Swift doctor currently don’t care that I order every 2 months or so (use a 12.5mg for doses of 6-8mg)

Eli Lilly haven't announced any price cuts. This is just a decision made by MMP and, as OP has said above, the terms and conditions mean you have to tie yourself into a subscription with MMP to get the discounts.

For someone like me that’s perfect.

It gives me food for thought as I’m currently on wegovy and not seeing the results I’d like to. It might be time for me to go back to MJ.

I haven't seen this even hinted at in any of the Financial press. In Q2 2026, Eli Lilly reported a strong 48% revenue growth largely driven by Mounjaro and Zepbound, especially with rapid international expansion. I'm not sure why they'd be dropping their prices now.

As a user myself, I'd be delighted if they did, but I'm just not sure there is a good rationale for why they would at the moment. Anyhow, I shall keep my fingers crossed but not get too hopeful.

Its still not clear if it is just MMP switching to Lilly Direct UK or other pharmacies dropping. I have read somewhere saying others have dropped, but no names/nothing confirmed.

You should look on the Mounjaro price comparison website for a maintenance pharmacy and switch. You do not have to stay with an expensive pharmacy just because you're near goal. Lots of pharmacies take patients with a BMI in the healthy range.

Oushk response on their forum about the price cuts

"Please note that unfortunately this is not as simple as a price drop. We will share information as soon as we can as we are navigating through the offer. Some of it does not align with Oushk way of prescribing and ethics but we will do our best to adjust and be as transparent as we can."

They might have a bit of a munity on their hands as posters are now discussing the difference with new MMP prices 🙈, wonder if there will be the usual impromptu live when these type of things happen.

Oushk are a lot more flexible than some prescribers with time in between orders etc which is why I stay with them despite not being the cheapest. I only want to order every other month as I have a stockpile and they are fine with that. If the reduction in wholesale cost means they have to limit this flexibility I don't want it personally. But it's definitely a step in the right direction and what we are likely to see with other new medications on the market and moving towards retatrutide being approved, as mounjaro demand will inevitably drop.

Oushk need to align their ethics??!

I've seen a video online from one of the brand ambassadors for Oushk. Eli Lilly have approached pharmacies and said they will give them a rebate (not a price drop) if they start selling MJ in bundles e.g. 2.5mg and 5mg pens on the same prescription, and the pharmacies have to evidence that they're selling this way in order to claim the rebate back.

This is probably why Oushk are saying it's not compatible with their business model, because Eli Lilly are essentially forcing users to increase their dose every 4 weeks in order for them to benefit from a reduced cost.

@SeeFourSwans interesting thanks, although it seems MMP are also selling bundles of 2 pens at the same dose.

The reordering is within 35 days, 5 weeks, so has a slight grace period, but would hate to order one day out!

Yeah that is bizarre why they would be in an Oushk affiliate's live - how strange!!

I can't wrap my head around how MMP have managed this price drop.

Oushk have now shut down the thread on their forum (not unexpected, they did the same with the AI bot conversation) -
