Has anyone taken the step to order the tablets and wish to share their journey?

hello!!!
I have been approved and am waiting for my tablets. I have thought about weight loss meds for ages but am too chicken for jabs and was worried about travelling/storage etc
I need to lose about 4 stone I think - well I could lose more but I think it might age me and give me too much lose skin
I want to look better but it mainly my health that I want to improve so will be upping my swimming and re starting Pilates as well.
My joints just really hurt all the bloody time so I am hoping losing weight will help with that
When I was pg with DD I was quite ill and food just stopped being a part of my life except for survival so I am hoping that is what happens with the tablets
We will see

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2026 17:31

Approved and waiting for mine from Asda . Excited! Im hoping to lose at least three stone. I have high BP and cholesterol and am on meds for those, and currently 29 so I know that losing weight will be beneficial ..

Fromhere1 · 29/06/2026 19:23

I would like to take them.. I'm in Ireland and hoping they become available here at the same time as the UK.

pillorinjection · 29/06/2026 20:04

I have just been approved. £94 a month on Voy - it could’ve been a bit cheaper but don’t want to sign up to an ongoing thing, in case the side-effects are too much

socks1107 · 29/06/2026 20:21

Watching, I’m considering them end of July. I have a holiday booked mid July.
I have lost 3.5 stone on my own, but have been stuck at a weight above a healthy bmi for 3 months. I CC and exercise but it bounces down and back up again but if I eat any less I’d be starving so thinking the tablets will help? I’ve a lower bmi than 30 but have high blood pressure so qualify.

nearlyemptynes · 29/06/2026 21:38

I have also signed up with Voy. I have signed up for 6 months. I have already lost 5 stone with slimming world but have put a stone back on and I am really struggling with it. I have a lot to loose according to the NHS. I would like to loose 3 stone and then see how I feel. The most important thing is not gaining weight lost. I just want to feel good and be healthy. Will be really good to support each other on here.

I was on Mounjaro for all of 2025. Came off in Dec. Got to goal. Just...but BMI still in overweight range. Have since put on an additional 3kg. I am keen for it not to spiral as it has done so often in the past. I have just ordered from medexpress, awaiting approval. Will be taking smallest dose and will decide if I carry on after 1 month.

Ireolu · 07/07/2026 13:52

My pills have jusy been dispatched!! I'm gna start immediately. No idea what to expect.

I’m in C.Cork and my GP has prescribed MJ for me but I pay for the medication privately.

I post my written prescription and buy my Mounjaro medication from McKeevers pharmacy in NI who post it down to me via DPD next day delivery. It’s much cheaper than buying from my local pharmacy, which I would have preferred and I’ve been with them about a year and they’re very reliable and reasonably priced.

They will also be selling the Wegovy tablets and have posted the prices on their website. I will definitely consider the tablets once I’m at target and on a low maintenance dose of MJ.

nearlyemptynes · 09/07/2026 22:56

so mine have arrived and i start tomorrow. Feeling nervous and excited. Worried about side effects especially as my family dont know.

I started on Wednesday. Just took 3rd tablet. I think its helping. Will see. Hope it works for all new starters!

24HoursFromTulseHill · 10/07/2026 17:35

I'm on day 3.
No side effects so far.
My appetite is definitely reduced but it's harsh to say what's the hot weather and what's the pills.

Jess2002 · 10/07/2026 19:15

Day 2 for me, so far had a bit of bloating today but other than that feeling good. My appetite has dramatically decreased since yesterday afternoon, barely thought about food and have found myself getting full way before I normally would! So far so good 😊

Saludable · 10/07/2026 19:28

I am still waiting for mine from Voy, they should have arrived on Wednesday or Thursday. Unfortunately I’m away from Sunday for at least a week and the Royal Mail tracking number still isn’t showing an expected delivery date or time, not impressed so far. I tried to redirect the package to a different address but it won’t let me until delivery has been attempted.

I do rate the Voy app highly though and have been logging my meals using the text description which is much better than all the weighing and tracking in MFP or similar. The first month was £74, if I stay on the starting dose it will be at least £129 each month but over £200 if titrating to the highest dose. I signed up to an annual plan.

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 10/07/2026 23:27

Day 1 done for me ✅

Felt a bit nauseous this evening. Still thought about food through the day and ate fairly normally.

Tracking my calories on MyFitnessPal so I can monitor it.

roll on day 2!

I am 5ft 1 and want to lose 20kg. 74kg > 55kg

pillorinjection · 11/07/2026 00:39

Mine have arrived, starting Sunday

Namechangewegovyjune26 · 11/07/2026 07:39

Took pill 2 today. The 30 mins before breakfast thing is proving easy as we are all waking up so early in the heat.

Does anyone have any breakfast tips? I’d like to have high protein easy breakfast, thinking about adding protein powder to my porridge or just having Greek yoghurt alongside. Can’t be cooking eggs every day as I work full time and 2 kids to get ready etc.

i guess I could hard boil some eggs and keep in fridge, I might do that this weekend :)

Imnotperfecteither · 11/07/2026 08:09

Have just completed my registration bumph, waiting to see if I’m approved. Does it tend to take long??
hope everyone is doing ok on the tablets and seeing results ❤️

Needlesnah · 11/07/2026 08:17

@Namechangewegovyjune26 i don’t eat until much later but I make a big bowl of chia seed pudding, every few days, which is what I start with - cacao powder, chia seeds, some kind of cold pressed ground seed, plain greek yogurt and honey. Kids and I eat from that through the week. I usually add fresh or frozen raspberries to mine. Great on its own or with any fruit. Decent protein from the chia/yoghurt/ground seeds plus fibre and minerals from the raspberries/cacao/ground seeds (I’ve seen older family members go in to nasty surgeries because of their lack-of-fibre diets catching up to them, so trying to up my game on that front). Tastes like chocolate pudding which is why I do it! Overnight oats with yoghurt and chia (grated apple if I can be bothered) is also an easy option. Otherwise I grab half a slice of cheese or a small handful of cashews/almonds if I need a quick protein ‘boost’.

Hi, can I join in pls? I'm on day 4 of tablets from Voy. I scared myself silly worrying about side effects but decided on balance to try and lose the weight. I am very overweight, unfit, lacking energy and low in confidence. I've lost weight before on SW but always put it back on when I stop. I've just turned 50 so hoping this will help. What complicates things is my DS has an eating disorder (anorexia) so I have spent months eating with him (and eating through my worries!) I'm really hoping this will help me! How is everyone doing? 😊

Webb27 · 12/07/2026 13:00

Hi can I join. I have just been approved and am going for the six month plan. First month is £69 and then it increases each month as the dose increases. I’ve tried to find what it will increase to but can’t find it anywhere. I know next month goes to £159. Thank you

24HoursFromTulseHill · 12/07/2026 15:53

I'm on day 5 with no side effects so far.
It's hard to tell if my reduced appetite is the pills working, the heat or a hightenedsense of portion control and snacking restraint because I know I'm taking something that is meant to reduce my appetite.

I'm 1.5kg down so far but from previous dieting sessions I always have a big drop in the first couple of days and then plateaue for a bit and then have a more steady decline.

DM me if you'd like a Bolt referral code.

Hey all, I’m the evening of day 1 and my goodness do I feel nauseous. I guess I might be panicking and that’s making it worse. 😢

I’m day 4 and still getting intermittent nausea. Weirdly I find eating a small amount of something plain helps, as does drinking water. Hopefully the side effects pass quickly!
