Has anyone taken the step to order the tablets and wish to share their journey?

Day 2 today. Didn't notice any change during the daytime, but this evening I had one (weighed out) portion of a gnocchi bake. I was completely full! Normally I'd be going back for seconds, and more snacks after too.

My main concern with the daily tablets was whether they wear off by the evening, as that's when I normally overeat the most. Early days, but glad that doesn't seem to be the case.

Wonderknicks · 26/07/2026 08:46

I still don't feel the tablets are having an effect on me (positive or negative). I'm down 0.6Kg over the week but that's not outside my normal fluctuation. We shall see...

NortyTorty · 26/07/2026 08:51

I’m upto day 7. Definitely don’t want to snack in the evenings as much and when I do have snacks, I am not wanting to binge on them. 1kg down so far.

I did have a headache yesterday evening but also had a small glass of wine at lunchtime so maybe that. Maybe a bit more burpy than before and definitely having disturbed sleep - but that could be other things, not just the meds.

ThatJadeLion · 26/07/2026 13:05

Day 4 starting dose and finding the effect life changing. I pray that they carry on working. I just feel better generally too, calmer and able to moderate, brain feels more rational. Have eaten textbook nutritious foods. Have even eaten foods I don't normally like including melon. My portion control ends up halving the amount of food I was eating. Can't believe how effective the tablets are so far. I definitely know it's not placebo effect after trying to lose weight for five years.

I’m hoping it’s the same for me, I’m day 1. So far all good and I’ve started with a horrible cold which normally has me reaching for food all day. So far just my breakfast and lunch and quite satisfied.

hope it continues for you

Day 7 for me and 4lbs downs.
No nasty side effects just really tired.

Im getting very hungry but find that after a small amount of food and a glass of water I feel very full.
Im choosing high protein foods and my love of wine has almost disappeared! I just cant face it. So far, so good for me

NortyTorty · 26/07/2026 15:36

Agree with you @user1468915974 that I do get hungry but doesn’t take much to feel full!

Interesting reaction for me today - had breakfast (fried mushrooms and a poached egg on toast) then went to the gym an hour later. Got home and after about 30 mins felt dreadful - dizzy and really sick. Forced myself to eat some cottage cheese and cherry toms and peeled right up. Clearly blood sugar has plummeted. So I just need to be mi soul of that when exercising.

NortyTorty · 26/07/2026 15:36

Perked not peeled!

Hi all, hope ok to join. Day 2 for me - had a rough day on day 1 felt nauseous, tired, stomach gurgling, dry mouth and raging thirst - barely made it to 700 calories.. Day 2 is a bit of a revelation compared to yesterday - I know early days - but I don’t feel sick, I don’t want sweet things and I am not thinking about food - well I am I’m thinking about how strange it is not to think about it!!

I’ve managed a decent breakfast and a small lunch.. so far so good.. down 3lbs but imagine water weight.. although I don’t think I’ve ever drunk as much water in all my life!

Ent500 · 27/07/2026 17:25

Hi, just on my second day today. I’ve been very tired but the heat has really hit me hard this week so it could be that.
12st 1lb and 5ft nothing. I’m hoping to get into the healthy BMI category.

My lack of energy has been really noticeable this summer and a photo taken this weekend prompted me to start!
DH has been on Mounjaro for about 12 months and it has been fantastic for his weight and his overall health.

NortyTorty · 27/07/2026 22:28

Day 8 done. It was DC1’s birthday yesterday so we had a roast. Enjoyed it but couldn’t eat much. Had wine but only 3 small glasses. Huge change. Today we went out fir the day and I had cake but overall ate much less than I would normally.

I think today is the first day I’ve felt 100% ‘normal’, just full sooner.

I think I believed I had no negative side effects but actually I did have minor tummy gripes, headache lurking round the edges and slight ‘oddness’. Nothing major but noticeable that I’ve not felt anything unusual at all today. Long may it continue 🤞🤞

IVFMammy · 28/07/2026 06:57

Day 15 for me and I’m 10lb down. Im just wondering what to do about my next dose of tablets, whether to go up to the 4mg for my second month. What is everyone else planning to do?

wegogovy · 28/07/2026 07:38

Day 7, I weighed. I’ve lost 2.5kg! Literally never seen the scales going down like that in my previous efforts. I’m delighted 😀

socks1107 · 28/07/2026 07:52

Day 3 and I’m really quesy today. Yuck but hoping I’ll start with some suppression now after yesterday’s hunger

NortyTorty · 28/07/2026 08:02

@IVFMammy I’m not sure yet - tempted not to go up and see how I get on but also don’t want to go ‘backwards’.

@wegogovy wow what a result! My progress is much slower but I’m ok with that.

wegogovy · 28/07/2026 08:08

I’m sure a lot of it is water weight, and losing 2.5kg a week is not going to be the norm but I’m pleased with how it’s started.

HorseAreBetterThanHumans · 28/07/2026 08:14

I'm having the same dilemma @IVFMammy

I'm on day 9 and I've lost 5 lbs, although 2 of those were my yo-yo lbs!

I am going to wait till the last minute to decide, see where I am around day 24. The pills came very quickly on my first order so don't want to rush. I've only got 2 stone to lose and looking to make long term changes so I don't think I want to have a very high dose if calorie counting on a lower dose works.

Cheezpuf · 28/07/2026 09:25

2 weeks tomorrow and lost 1.5kg. I’m going to stay on the 1.5 dose for another month as it’s working well at suppressing appetite at the moment and no side effects. Happy to lose weight slowly and steadily

Webb27 · 28/07/2026 10:00

2 weeks today and I have lost 5lbs in total. Really happy with that. Some nausea early on but that seems to have settled. Some days I’m not at all hungry but other days I am. I’m going on holiday next week and when I return I’m on my second month. Decided to increase to the 4mg.

Deadlykitten · 28/07/2026 10:13

day 2 for me today and struggled to eat yesterday, had a coffee this morning and my high bran but it was out of need rather than wanting it, not hungry at all. Only side effect was tiredness but that seems to have eased today.

YetAnotherAlias62 · 28/07/2026 10:55

I started this 2 weeks ago on presumably the same 1.5mg starting dose as everyone else.
I'm using Bolt, so if anyone would like a referral code so we both save £40, let me know!!

Like a lot of you, I've had nausea for a few days but I don't think it's had much impact on my appetite yet.
I started while I was getting over a bad tummy bug so wasn't eating much anyway, and have lost 1lb per week in the 2 weeks since I started.
I've just put my details in for the next dose and it looks like it will be 4mg when that arrives.
Has anyone here increased to 4mg yet and did you find the nausea comes back while your body adjusts to the new dosage level? Or were you ok?
Thanks!

I’m going up to 4mg.

week 2, going into third week for me. Had to order mine early to make sure they’ll be here in time for holidays. Will let you know how I get on x

Imnotperfecteither · 28/07/2026 11:42

Sorry, quoted wrong person - was meant for @IVFMammy x

NeedMoreTinfoil · 28/07/2026 12:58

Day 17 and 2kg down. No side effects apart from mild nausea for first 3 days. I've just ordered 4mg dose for next month.

I'm not excluding any foods or weighing food or calorie counting, just trying to have some protein and either fruit or salad or veggies with each meal. I also plate meals carefully so I don't go overboard with carbs or protein and fill up with salad or veg. I had a Chinese takeaway on my birthday and really enjoyed it as a special treat.

Exercise is still an issue, mainly because of heat and because I have had a nasty cough virus that wiped me out for nearly a week. Still getting over that.

Let's see what 4mg brings....

IVFMammy · 28/07/2026 13:31

Thanks all, I think I’ll order the 4mg! Think I’ll order them early so I have them.
@YetAnotherAlias62 would love a referral code.
