Looks like our first thread is almost full so thought I'd start a new one and link it.
The one where we head into the summer feeling lighter and hopefully on the right path x

Hey! I’ve come down with a bug, so still hovering around at -13.6kg in 15w4d.

Hope it soon goes away and I can see progress more, now just look run down haha

Ordered another 2.5mg pen to have lined after my current 2.5, and will just keep the 5mg for future. So far 2.5mg have given the same suppression. And a financial saving haha

pomegranatepie · 07/08/2026 11:43

Week 17 weigh in today, and another 2lbs down, which surprised me - I stuck with 3.75 and I haven't felt a lot of suppression so was thinking about going up to 5 next week. Now I am not so sure.
I have lost 2 stone 4lbs in total, my BMI is now 23.8, most of my clothes are now far too big for me, and I am comfortably wearing size 12 jeans. I'm 5lbs away from my target weight, which was a random mid healthy BMI number, and I feel pretty good, still pretty curvy, I have a waist again and I feel good in clothes and less achy and generally more healthy. I am wondering what to do now, whether to keep aiming for my original target or to try and maintain where I am. How has everyone else determined their target weight?

MyGardenDaisies · 07/08/2026 16:48

@pomegranatepie well done, that’s exciting!
I presume when I stop I would likely put on 1-2kg purely inflammation wise, so I’m aiming for the target weight range bottom line. And then to maintain mid to top end of that range.

That sounds sensible. I will probably keep to my original target, which will give me a bit of wiggle room. I'm planning on keeping going with the jabs for a few months at least after target anyway, to help transition into a maintenance mindset, dropping as low as I can whilst still maintaining by counting clicks. I think! It's going to be some trial and error

Morning!

Big drop today, 120.3kg down 15.4kg on MJ in 15w5d!
And total weight loss -29.7kg in 11 months.🎉

I can’t believe how much that actually is, that’s crazy. 4kg and I’ll have lost all of the weight of my second and first pregnancy.

Thesehills · 08/08/2026 09:52

Week 17 weigh in today.

2 lbs off after a 1 lb gain last week from hols.

Starting weight: 15 stone 7lbs
Todays weight: 13 stone 3 lbs

I would normally jab today but I'm eeking it out a bit, trying to manage the last stone weight loss and reducing MJ along the way.

I'm finding that after 6 weeks on 5mg it's losing suppression strength quite a lot but still helps take the edge off.

I'm doing ok like this though, at the moment anyhow.

So my plan is to jab 3.75mg sometime in the next few days, if I can get to next Saturday all the better and see how I go.

I can't afford the expense and it was never my intention to stay on MJ long, long term but for me it has been and still is a huge help and a very positive experience. I've not had any horrid side effects and the weight loss is wonderful.

Well done everyone, have a lovely weekend.

well this weight loss malarky is full of surprises. after losses of 200gms and 300 gms for the previous two weigh ins, and a week where although Id been moving about more I had eaten and not really tracked, plus snacked at a private view of our art exhibition, I have weighed in today with a 1.2kg loss.

so thats 2 1/2 stone gone now after 17 weeks on 2.5mg.

My new 7.5mg pen is arriving on thursday and so, if I stay on the 2.5 its looking like I have plenty in stock, as Im about half way through a 5 mg pen, and still have an untouched 7.5mg.

I will suspend the payments after this one for a while and then look for some cheaper options once I start moving forward. I am looking to keep microdosing once Im at my target weight because of the anti inflammatory action and it holding my lymphodema at bay - the turnaround of the tissue changes in the skin in my legs and toes is incredible - I will see my lymph massage specialist in two weeks and she has some helpful techniques which should break down and allow the last bits of more solid lymph to move and hopefully be cleared, and I have an appointment in October with my clinic, so will be measured, and that will be the real proof of the pudding.

It may have cost alot but Im so pleased that I made the decision to do this - I was at the point where I needed to decide whether to simply surrender to the pain and mobility restrictions, or fight back. And I made the right decision. I feel better than I have in years, and thats even despite the recent falls/injuries.

MyGardenDaisies · 09/08/2026 10:30

@NettleTea do you just ignore the 30 day expiry and use expired medication by counting clicks?

I also read a lot about people micro dosing but the definition of micro dosing is so varied - some do 1.25mg, some call 2.5mg the microdose too

yes I do. I have stayed on a constant 2.5 but as Ive remained with Bolt they have increased my dosage, so I simply allowed that to happen and got myself the next pen up to keep in the fridge. I am superfast with injecting and with using the swabs, so that it remains in the fridge all the time basically, bar the couple of minutes to jab. They have a year expiry date on them - whats the difference in being in the fridge in a pharmacy waiting to be prescribed, or in my fridge. As long as Im always using sterile needles and cleaning, the chance of contamination is pretty negligible.
I bought new needles to twist on, and then I also have syringes if needed, but currently Im counting clicks. I had golden doses in my first two 2.5ml pens, so was already up on the savings with those, and the 5mls Im yet to see if they have the golden dose as Ive only taken 6 doses so far, by counting clicks.
When I get to maintanance I will see what my body says - the people on the lymphodema boards seem to take between 1.25 - 5mg and some take it every 2 weeks - some just wait til they feel they need it, as pain or swelling starts to come back - or weight starts to go on.

I think the food noise is reduced still - I have mentioned my pretty disordered eating, but its dealing the inflammation with the lymphodema is what has really allowed me to lose weight.
I just also need to find my calorie point for maintanance too - I know the type of food has a big impact and thats fine, but I need to be able to eyeball it and make good judgements as to how much is the right amount to eat in a day so that its easy and liveable without being my whole life.

just to add, when I say disordered I dont mean as an eating disorder level. I am autistic and often just get hyper focused on things, or work, and dont feel the hunger stuff and forget to eat until Im REALLY hungry and then eat rubbish because Ive forgotten to go shopping, or went but didnt buy any kind of ingredients for actual meals.

Thats why having a fixed breakfast that I eat daily, and a gousto box, has been transformational for me

mounjaroatlast · 09/08/2026 13:02

122kg this week, so a total loss of 15kg now. I had a really bad period this week though, very heavy and lots of nausea and vomiting and upset stomach. This used to happen to me years ago but stopped when I had DD. So I think I lost an extra kg thanks to that.

But for the first time in oh so many years, I am now below 20 stone and so happy for that.

I am short, have always had a figure, but also have lymphodema, and giant lipomas, so as I lose the fat, the lipomas are emerging more and I am starting to look a bit odd with a giant lump on my leg and another on my hip.

I ordered some new clothes a size down and they were still too big so will have to try again. I have been reluctant to order anything too quick, but stuff is starting to hang off me now because I always bought baggy stuff anyway.

I can also now "Simon Cowell" my pants because they don't have so much bum and belly to go over, they are pulling up really high Grin

MyGardenDaisies · 09/08/2026 15:38

I had another 0.2kg loss today so 120.1kg now and -15.6kg in 15w6d.

Not hung up about it but would be satisfying to hit “teens” tomorrrow morning and weigh in at 119.x kg and have lost 16+kg in 16 weeks, I like to keep my average at 1kg/week.

Well done @mounjaroatlast ! I get you with the clothes, I have gone from UK 24 to UK20, and had bought some UK22 clothes that don’t fit now, and had to sell on Vinted for a fraction. Now just gonna buy on Vinted or in charity shops until I hit maintenance.

This thread really is great - so happy to hear about the progress and how much it means to everyone ❤️

MyGardenDaisies · Yesterday 12:22

119.9kg today !
-15.8kg on Mounjaro in 16 weeks, and now I’ve gone from 150kg to below 120kg in 11 months.
I feel almost emotional. Maybe I didn’t actually believe I would lose or ever be here again. Also 30kg now feels like such a weight off my shoulders figuratively and practically speaking.

I am 5ft10, so aiming for 95kg. 24.9kg to go.

thinkofsomethingdifferent · Yesterday 15:23

Week 20 for me (I technically started on the 26 March), and total loss is 2st 9lb or 16.8kg. I had my first gain last week, but with a 5lb loss this week (my biggest yet), I’m back on track. Just 10lb to go now to reach target weight of 9st.

pomegranatepie · Yesterday 17:17

I went shopping today, as my jeans are all hanging off me, and size 12 was too big! I have never in my adult life worn a size 10 jean before, I can't quite believe it! Although I suspect the sizing in next was very generous to be honest. It was such a boost though.

Thesehills · Yesterday 18:06

I absolutely love reading everyones highs.

Well done everyone! 👏
