Looks like our first thread is almost full so thought I'd start a new one and link it.
The one where we head into the summer feeling lighter and hopefully on the right path x

Have moved up to 5mg today. Week 13, 2.5 was great for me till it wasn’t. Am not yet noticing more suppression, and when I started it was immediat, so am a little disappointed. In some ways though, it might be good for me as then I have to choose to make positive choices which might help me rethink my eating going forward. Hopefully this will move me off what has really been a month stall, as I know the MJ will be working away in the background, doing its thing.

Scrabsqueak · 27/07/2026 13:27

And @mounjaroatlast , if you only had one ( or even a few more) days of overeating, your overall progress will not be affected.

NorthDevonBeachLover · 30/07/2026 15:32

1.5lb down this week. Hope everyone is having a good summer holiday so far.

Well done everyone.

I've just driven back from St Ives, had the most lovely week.

Weigh in Saturday for me so will check in again.

Hope everyone's ok, we seem a little quiet.

ElvisandAngel · 31/07/2026 08:52

I travelled home from my holiday abroad last night and weighed myself this morning. I have put 6lbs on during the week away. I do not know how this has happened as we were self catering and I did not go mad. We walked loads every day and I ate lots of salad. However, I did eat some bread and pastry and I had not done this since the last week in April. So, this morning I have changed from 3.7mg to 5mg to make sure that I get back on track.

It feels like such a constant battle, my body does not naturally want to be thinner and it feels like I am forcing it and my weight will bounce back up the scales at any opportunity. My husband weighed himself after me, he is not taking Mounjaro or trying to lose weight and he ate way more than me and has lost weight during the holiday, so frustrating!

Oh this really is frustrating, you have my sympathies. It may be that when you settle back at home, when any water weight from the sun and travel has gone, you get a steep drop - that has certainly happened to me in the past. The bread/pastry point is interesting too; do you think that you might have an intolerance?

This is just a blip. You’ll get back on track next week, I’m sure.

custardlover · 31/07/2026 09:08

I’m down another 0.6kg this week so that’s 16kg/over 35lbs altogether now. It means I am just 5 kg from goal!

The strange thing is my appearance. There is a definite change from the beginning - there was a ‘sudden’ change (eg lost a stone.. nothing noticed, then lost two stone and suddenly everyone noticed!) but the most recent half stone doesn’t seem to have made a made a difference to my appearance at all and so I wonder how much difference the last 5kg is going to make. My legs are still very very big in my eyes and I don’t see them slimming down yet…

Maybe I am losing the visceral fat around my internal organs right now? That would be good!

Thank you, yes I think and hope you may be right and I also should not eat bread ever again!

I have my fingers crossed for a dramatic drop over the next few days.

Have a good weekend everyone. 😊

MyGardenDaisies · 02/08/2026 20:48

Hello!

I have been quiet here as I’ve genuinely haven’t know what to think. I’ve been so up and down with my appetite and calorie intake and weight the past 2 weeks it’s crazy!

in the last 10 days I’ve had days where I’ve eaten 3600kcal and could have done more and felt like nothing was enough. And equally days where by 8PM I had eaten 1000kcal and was not fussed about dinner.

I seem to have lost my love for water and sometimes remember in the evening that I’ve only had 2 coffees, and hence feel super bloated and yucky.

The last few days have been a bit more reasonable and back around 2000kcal, but wow, what a roller coaster. Add sleep deprivation too..

will have an early night tonight, drink lots of water, and try to have a fresh start tomorrow with a positive attitude.
I can assess the weight situation when I’m less bloated as mathematically I should be still in a deficit, just not seeing it

mounjaroatlast · 03/08/2026 17:53

mygardendaisies I had a day like that and felt awful. I also don't drink enough water. My daughter said to me, it's just 1 day mum, start again tomorrow. So wise at 18 Grin

Down to 124kg this week though, a total loss of 13kg overall.

Losing around 1kg a week, have some days where I barely want to eat anything, trying to stick to 1400cals max a day.

Think I will still on the 7.5 for another pen as it still seems to be working.

People are really noticing the weight loss now which feels good as it makes it all feel worthwhile and proves that it is real and I am not imagining it.

Ilovepeas175 · 03/08/2026 22:10

Hi everyone, I’m just back from spending 4 weeks travelling and staying with family and whilst hiding my pen and secretly jabbing to try and maintain, I’ve managed to lose 1.5lbs 🙌 I’m down 24lbs in around 15 weeks, which includes a Spanish holiday and a 4 week jolly in the UK!
I’ve got one dose left of my 5mg pen which I’m counting clicks on and only taking 2.5mg. Have been ordering from Lloyds but thinking I may try elsewhere. Does anyone have any recommendations or discount codes? Thanks x

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 03/08/2026 22:24

Week 19 for me and it’s my first gain of 2lb. But, I’ve had a GREAT week personally. My daughter became incredibly poorly in January and since then our world has become very small. We’ve always had a caravan in Filey, but due to her being diagnosed with FND, one week is never the same and I never want to venture far from our local hospital as they know her and know how to manage her symptoms. But, I had a week off work and we had gone 19 days without any symptoms so I thought I’d chance it. Filey is only an hour and half from home so if needed, we would return home. Thankfully she’s been fine, which has led to countless takeaways, fish and chips, ice cream, and cocktails. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the break and although we’ve walked miles in all of the local seaside towns, the food and drink has clearly taken its toll. We’re not home until Wednesday so reset won’t be until then, and although I’ve enjoyed the indulgences I am ready to get back on track.

It was a weird blip, maybe from the heat and travelling?

I weighed myself this morning because I felt lighter and since Friday I have lost 7lbs, this means I am now a lb less than I was before my holiday.

Overall I have lost 30lbs in 14 weeks.

ElvisandAngel · 04/08/2026 08:48

Oh and my knee caps definitely feel bonier!

pomegranatepie · 04/08/2026 08:52

We got home from two weeks of traveling and camping in France, croissants and ice cream and wine were consumed (but not as much as in previous holidays) and I bravely stepped on the scale this morning, sure I would have piled on the lbs. I had to check four times - I am EXACTLY the same weight as I was the day we left, it really is a miracle drug.
I had planned to go up to 5mg today, as I assumed I would need a boost to lose holiday weight, but now I think I will stick on 3.75, and see how this week pans out. I am stunned! What a delight to feel totally unrestricted on holiday, but to finally have an off switch.

Z0rr0 · 05/08/2026 00:23

Hi everyone. We’re just back from 2weeks away and I gained 3lb which is pretty good as I was drinking more and eating stuff like bread and potatoes that I would never usually eat. About half what I would typically gain so feeling ok about it. Plus I hurt my knee in the first week so wasn’t doing my usual walking for several days.
However eating more has stuffed up my appetite suppression so I’m thinking about ordering 7.5 for my next pen. Have one jab to go but will order this week. Looking forward to cracking on with the final stone. Has anyone else started 7.5?

Thesehills · 05/08/2026 06:26

I feel the same. I've been on 5mg for 6 weeks now and can definitely feel the suppression is not nearly as effective, although definitely still there, I've a full pen of 5mg though so I've the next month to go.

The other way I'm looking at it is that I'm about a stone off where I'd like to be weight wise and wonder if I try and wean myself off MJ and see how I go on that last bit of weight loss. I never wanted to take MJ forever but feel so happy and so much healthier having dropped the weight that I don't want it to plonk back on.

I've two or three friends who have maintained their weight and one who's dropped a little more after coming off MJ and another who is struggling like mad and it's creeping back on.

Food for thought.

MyGardenDaisies · 05/08/2026 14:13

Hello!

I finally have a new lower weight, now 121.8kg and feel more balanced with my appetite, water intake and sleep.

I was on 5mg but hadn’t gotten my new 5mg pen in time so Monday jabbed a 2.5mg pen to keep consistent with the jab day at least.

interestinly I feel the same suppression so far. If it’s like that for all 4 jabs, I’ll just go back down to 2.5mg fully and maybe keep the 5mg pen for Christmas 😅

would be great to go back to 2.5mg as it saves about 50£ each month, which I could use to buy smaller clothes haha

Current stats : in 15w2d lost 13.9kg

custardlover · 05/08/2026 23:23

I’m close to my target now although I feel like I haven’t lost anything this week (I shouldn’t weigh until Friday… but I have done and saw a slight half lb increase sadly) but also starting to think about what happens when I hit it - how to taper off and maintain. I guess many of us will want to start thinking about this in the next few months. I’ really interesting if anyone has friends who are ahead of us in their journeys who have stories to share! I’d love to not be spending £250 per month… but I love having lost this weight and feeling so much better even more!

MyGardenDaisies · 06/08/2026 06:08

@custardlover how much do you still have to lose till target?

I have a target range in mind to allow for natural fluctuations during the month.

there’s a girl called Samantha Ross on Yourube that has lost 30kg on MJ and now is tapering off, I find her videos on this insightful.

MyGardenDaisies · 06/08/2026 06:09

Re cost, I’ve been swapping providers each time and using the first timers discounts, so each 5mg pen so far has been 140£ and the two 2.5mg pens were around104-108£.

likewhatyoudo · 06/08/2026 08:39

Congrats everyone who has managed holiday time. I handled 3 weeks away. Enjoyed food and drink but helpfully felt full relatively quickly, not very interested in lunch and did more steps than i normally do. So weigh in after returning home was fine.

It’s great that we are feeling lighter and more comfortable. I am so much happier when my waistbands aren’t tight, i can cross my legs, and i don’t feel so round each time i see my reflection.

Isabelle70 · 07/08/2026 07:33

In 15 weeks I have lost 9.3kg, slow and steady. The last couple of weeks I have noticed if I drink more squash it does make a difference.
The drinking more has also stopped the 2am wake up feeling hot, the last 4/5 nights that has not happened.

Farsideofthemoon · 07/08/2026 08:40

Well done everyone on your losses⭐️. It’s so good to hear how others are doing and the absorb the hints and tips. I’m feeling good about where I’m at. This is my second shot at using MJ and my experience this time has been much smoother. I’m on the verge of hitting the 2 stone loss since mid April. I now strongly believe that keeping on top of any (ahem😬) constipation has helped to minimise nausea and digestive issues. I still encounter situations where my hard wired brain thinks I should be going for it. 2 recent family gatherings with lots of food where my mind wanted more but my stomach just couldn’t take it so I stopped. Part of me felt thwarted but I guess this is all part of the re- education around what eating lots of food actually means- food has always been a huge source of comfort. A whole other story but not relying on food in my current situation has been a triumph. I will turn 60 early next year and have joked with my DDs about wearing a ’Danni Minogue ‘ dress when I celebrate- it’s feeling almost achievable 🥳
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. 😎😊
