Forgot to mention I’ve ordered the pills and anticipate the delivery at the end of the week and hoping to start on Monday after the World Cup final!

ilovebagpuss · 13/07/2026 19:41

I have done 3 days now no side effects to speak of as yet. Not sure I have noticed much change food wise because I am still hungry when it comes to meal times. I don't think the food noise is as high as after my evening meal I am not thinking ooh a slice of toast later or what is there in the crisp cupboard.
I am quite happy to stay on this dose if It helps slowly.
Mainly hoping it kick starts a good loss and I can enjoy feeling slimmer and be motivated to change my portions and snacking habits.

Day 3 here and I'm not convinced I'm noticing much difference yet. I don't think I've made good food choices today so must try harder tomorrow and stop being so impatient!

Same
i I ate half a bag of Doritos earlier, almost as a protest. Not good.

Fishhooksandjellybabies · 13/07/2026 22:12

@Twoshoesnewshoes I'll raise you an all day breakfast, a banana, a slice of white bread with peanut butter on AND a tube of rollos from DH's chocolate stash.
FGS! Going to do better tomorrow.

gratefulmezze · 14/07/2026 07:44

one full week complete. I weighed this morning and I've lost 1.65kg (3.6lbs)
The headache is back and paracetamol is not working the same (slow absorption?) no other side effects. I've gone off coffee, alcohol, biscuits, crisps, chocolates, fried foods (the thought of them turns my stomach) I'm still eating three meals a day, and making sure each one is protein rich. I do get quite hungry toward the end of the day so can manage a decent evening meal.

Day 5 for me. Until today, hardly any symptoms, and felt too good to be true!
Took my tablet at 6.15am today and have been extremely nauseous and have now been sick at 8.20am. I feel dreadful and also annoyed if this is a pill wasted essentially?
Otherwise been fine so hoping this isn’t a regular thing now.
Hope everyone is getting on well with theirs, enjoying reading along.

Oh no!
I feel very nauseous today, day 3. From what I've read online, as long as you're not sick within that half hour of taking it, the tablet will have been fully absorbed so it won't have been wasted.
Hope you feel much better as the day goes on!

That is reassuring! Thank you.
I hope your nausea settles too :)
I am not good with sickness so wanting to power through and not give up.

Have you been on the jabs before out of interest? I am on MJ but at GW now so thinking of these for future maintenance.

Me too but I am concerned that I won't be prescribed the pills if I am not actually overweight. I guess I can switch to pills with my current provider but I'd really like to move from them, they are so frustrating to deal with, customer service terrible.

Roundisashape · 14/07/2026 14:10

I only really feel sick for 5 mins directly after taking the tablet. No matter how I take it the taste immediately makes me feel sick.
I am on day 6 (I was 4lbs down at day 4 but the scale hasn't moved again).
I think I'm not hungry between meals or at least don't think about food. But strangely I have developed a really sweet tooth in the 6 days I've been taking the tablets. I was a savoury person - crisps and bread - now I can't leave the chocolate and ice-cream alone.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 14/07/2026 17:54

@Roundisashape same with the sweet tooth, it’s really undoing any good work.
on day 6 and not lost any weight- I’ll definitely give it the month but I am a bit disappointed.

also, calculating how many M&S count on us meals I can buy for £100 a month…

Roundisashape · 14/07/2026 18:15

It's very odd. I wonder what causes it. As otherwise I'm not too bothered about food. But i'm not sure giving up food and just eating chocolate was quite the solution I had planned!

Twoshoesnewshoes · 14/07/2026 18:26

Lol, same!

RubyRedAndGertieGreen · 14/07/2026 18:30

I'm feeling horrendous, it's like being pregnant again 😅
Only managed about 500 calories today, I can't force anything else down. Unfortunately the thought of drinking anything makes me feel sick as well. At least it should start falling off!

Florabella · 14/07/2026 20:16

I’m on day 4. Still can’t say I’m really noticing any difference in either hunger or any side effects . Maybe I need to wait for the 4mg before it kicks in 😭 (or maybe I’m a lost cause! 🤣)

Poppypop87 · 14/07/2026 21:32

I started taking mine on Wednesday last week and have been suffering terribly. Had a really bad headache and was very sick on Friday and Saturday. Made me feel so bad that I haven't had a tablet for the last 3 days. I bought mine through bolt so have reached to ask for some advice, I know this will probably die down but not sure how long I can carry on when it's affecting me being able to work and look after my 4 year old so not feeling very positive at the moment.

Fishhooksandjellybabies · 14/07/2026 21:34

End of day 4 here and I remain symptomless! However I have had a better food day. I am doing 16/8 so tuna salad for lunch at 12.00pm and cottage pie - no potato, with a trio of green veg. for dinner. I made cottage pie for DH so just had some of the minced meat part and skinny him enjoyed the extra spuds. Not sure what to make of it but resisting the scales - although I don't think I'll last until Saturday to find out if I've lost any weight this first week. I've signed up for six months so I'm here for the long haul.

user1468915974 · 14/07/2026 22:08

Im starting my pills on Saturday ( in anticipation of bad side affects on my stomach)
Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this because from what I'm reading, it seems sickness is more common.

Also, I'm not really a snacker and I can happily forego breakfast but my treat is a large wine after work so my question is... have the pills had any affect on drinking habits or cravings?

Fishhooksandjellybabies · 14/07/2026 23:42

@user1468915974 I normally have a large gin whilst cooking dinner but I just haven't fancied alcohol at all. Odd.

Lola121 · 15/07/2026 07:34

I have been on it a week and lost 5lbs. The suppression is not as good as mounjaro but it’s better than nothing. I have found it more effective if I wake up early and take the pill then go back to sleep

Mariettta · 15/07/2026 09:01

Day 8 here and I have lost 1.2kg. I have no side effects yet and am eating 3 healthy meals with none of my usual urge to snack on cheese and crackers and toast. So, it is working brilliantly, but my worry is what to do when I come off. I have friends who have put weight back on straight away after stopping the jabs. Sigh.

Sparklybat · 15/07/2026 09:06

One week in here. I have eaten in a decent deficit every day and not lost a single ounce. My bmi is only 28.

However that wasn’t my main aim - I’m very active and my diet was good but I wanted to try them because I’d heard good things about them helping with auto immune disease. I have hashimotos and struggle with inflammation and my heart rate and stress not being what they ‘should’ for someone whose lifestyle is so healthy.

I’m really pleasantly surprised at how much they’ve impacted that already. I get hormonal migraines and for the first time in 30 years (!!!) I didn’t get a migraine on day one of my period. My stress levels on my watch are significantly down and they don’t stay raised any more after exercise.

My resting heart rate at night has dropped about 5 - 7 points. My heart rate is about 10 - 15 beats lower in exercise. I feel less inflamed.

And this is in a heat wave! If this continues it’s a life changing medication.

Mariettta · 15/07/2026 09:16

That is amazing @Sparklybat

Laska2Meryls · 15/07/2026 10:06

@Sparklybat . I am also hoping for health gains . In this last week my IBD symptoms have significantly decreased and I am hoping that will continue.. I have lost 2.5lb as of yesterday and wont be able to weigh again for another week as away.
Yesterday I didn't eat enough I think as we were travelling all day (just 2hb eggs for breakfast , and a chicken breast and salad in the evening )but didn't feel at all hungry , until just before bedtime. But that was too late to eat to get the 8hrs fasting in so I just had more water. But I've just had cheese , tomato and mushroom omelette for breakfast and were out walking today and as its Devon ill be hoping to grab a crab sandwich for a late lunch !

Day 7 for me and no ill effects except a little nausea for half an hour which went with an anti acid tablet .

Im feeling very positive about this ! Seen WLIs work on lots of people and now hoping its my turn for the miracle .

Ive been overweight pretty much all of my life ( was an overweight child , and my mother and rest of family were slim and critical , so feel like I have struggled forever and have been waiting all my life for a successful diet pill miracle) .. I have list weight before but never without huge struggle and put it back on every time, so I accept that I may have to always be on a maintenance dose. But if that helps with my high BP and cholesterol as well as my IBD its worth the cost it a million times ..
