Got mine on preorder…. I’m excited and a little apprehensive… have two stone to lose.

Day 4 here - headache has gone, I'm feeling great , no side effects whatsoever. My disinterest in food is building as the days go on (this is definitely having an accumulative effect in my body) I feel like I could take food or leave it. I am ensuring I eat regular balanced meals, and do enjoy what I'm eating. I'm going off coffee (Costa is going to miss me!)
Is anyone noticing the effect peaking during the day? Maybe it's my imagination but I feel it's strongest at around lunchtime and then eases off a little into the evening.
I will weigh myself once I'm one week in.

Mcdhotchoc · 11/07/2026 13:24

I did mj last year and lost a couple of stone but wasn't in the right headspace.
I have started again with wegovy. It has taken longer to build up but I'm also using ai ( gemini) to help. Put what I've eaten, what I'm thinking and it's a non critical and non judgemental voice. Helps hugely bizarrely.
I have decided to do wegovy for a year and see where that leads. I have been spammed about tablets but the injections are hardly an inconvenience for me

I am on week 12 ( just started 1mg) and have lost 6kg so far ( just under a stone). My aim is to lose 0.5kg a week ( one pound). Focusing on 80/100g protein a day to protect the hair. That was my mistake with MJ, and I started losing my hair. This time I am 1200 cals a day and protein.

I’m also using Chat GPT as support - very useful.

Chickadeeinme · 11/07/2026 17:04

I struggle to get enough protein in. I’ve taken to having a Danone light and fit yogurt for breakfast but even if I have a couple of eggs for lunch and some fish or meat for dinner I still don’t get 80+g of protein a day.

I’m not convinced dehydrating the planet and everything on it is “useful” but I guess none of us will be worrying about our weight. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mcdhotchoc · 11/07/2026 19:51

Let me look and see what I had to get my protein up. I tend to do 16/8 and eat between mid day and 8.
I eat 200g of skyr baked apple yoghurt which is 18g. I have a couple of boiled eggs typically for lunch ( the takeaway/lunch pack). I'll have some cheese and olives. I will have some salmon or chicken. I try to eat the protein first if you see what I mean .

I find protein yogurts, proper Greek yogurt, a minimum of 3 eggs if for lunch, and the odd additional of a scoop of protein powder are great ways of upping the total protein.

I don’t like shakes and smoothies (can’t bear the texture) so how else can one use protein powder?

StickyPits · 11/07/2026 22:02

I stir the vanilla one into Greek yogurt and top with blueberries or strawberries for breakfast

So relived that mine arrived just in time before I have to travel, will probably start Tuesday morning when side effects will be easier to manage. I just can’t be dealing with nausea or constipation or diarrhoea on the move.

Same. Mine arrived Thursday, but I've been away this weekend, long train journeys up north. Will start tomorrow, when any side effects will be more manageable.

Florabella · 12/07/2026 13:44

I’m on day two. Haven’t seen any reduction in hunger or any side effects yet. Apparently that’s normal, but lots of you here seemed to see a reduction in hunger from day one

Twoshoesnewshoes · 12/07/2026 15:07

Day 4 here
no no nausea, very low level constipation (but that might be the heat), still hungry as ever BUT I am noticing I am getting really full quite quickly, so I’m eating less.

Inspirationpending · 12/07/2026 16:00

Following with interest
Day 4 for me also. Having some nausea and uncomfortable bloating today
I generally have a sensitive stomach so was expecting it.
Using my fitness pal to track calories/protein.
Feel like appetite is suppressed in the day but evenings are harder.

Fishhooksandjellybabies · 12/07/2026 20:03

Day 2 here. Rookie error - I set up my shot glass of water and tablet on my bedside cabinet planning to take it when I woke early morning as I have a few other morning meds to take first thing. Stupid me - I woke and took the tablet and then realised that as it was still dark it must be before 4.00am. Result, not much hunger suppression today as hadn't fasted for 8 hours. Scrambled egg on 1 slice of toast and marmite for breakfast. Small roast beef dinner with no Yorkshire ,one roast potato and four veg this evening. Feeling fine and all systems working normally.

Chickadeeinme · 12/07/2026 20:17

I noticed some constipation as a side effect at first, which the doctor said was common because the pill slows the progression of food through the gut. He recommended SmoothMoves tea if that happened, but I eat a lot of fruit so it's mostly been OK.

In my quest for more protein I had an Oikos Triple Zero yogurt for breakfast (15g) and was at a diner for lunch where I had a Mediterranean omelette with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and feta cheese. It was a 3 egg omelette and so filling I had difficulty finishing and in fact didn't eat half the tomatoes (there were far too many and they were too chewy). In typical American fashion this was normally served with home fries and toast. I said I didn't want home fries (knew I wouldn't be able to eat them) and ordered a fruit cup instead. In the end I didn't eat the slice of toast and brought the fruit home in a box. I have some cooked salmon in the fridge and will have some of that with salad for dinner. I worked out that all this will have me in the 90+g of protein range, which feels fine, but it's all far more protein than I actually want to eat.

IVFMammy · 13/07/2026 08:29

Day 1 for me today, feeling a bit nauseous and headachy but not too bad. I’ve got 4 stone to lose so hoping it works ok for me. 🤞

Fromhere1 · 13/07/2026 08:57

Thanks for all the updates...I'm following along - I can't afford it at the moment but if it goes well for you lot I'm going to invest after the summer

OntheTrainX · 13/07/2026 09:53

Mine arrived on Friday but I’ve been away. Will start tomorrow.

Laska2Meryls · 13/07/2026 10:07

Day six here, I definitely struggled with my dinner yesterday - bbq lamb, tahini sauce, Greek salad and did feel a bit nauseous, after, but I think that I ate too large a meal as I hadn't eaten much all day as it was so hot here so no appetite - I'd just been glugging iced water all day . ( though didnt / couldnt face the pitta bread so had no carbs) and I did have a couple of glasses of róse. Also I was probably tired as we were getting ready for camping holiday..
Today more packing the campervan and rushing around. I've had two eggs for breakfast and am cooking a chicken to have cold later with salad ( and to have leftovers to take with us) .

Two weeks in Devon ( luckily I don't like things like cream teas !) Im planning on sticking to higher protein
Im a couple of pounds down but tbh im not expecting much weight loss on the starter dose this first month ..

Mariettta · 13/07/2026 10:16

I've felt good all week on the pills. It is working well as I feel full after each meal and don't want anything else. My provider's app provides an analysis of each meal and tells me to up the protein and fibre when necessary. It's actually been surprisingly helpful. I'm planning to stay on the starting dose so that the weight loss is slow and when I stop it's not too much of a shock to the system. It will also be cheaper.

Hope it’s going well for everyone - I’m 4 days in now and I think there’s an actual effect, not just psychological. Twice now I’ve been having dessert and about halfway have just thought, ‘right, that’s me done, I’ve had enough’, and stopped eating, not because I’m depriving myself but because I was just finished. It’s totally foreign - is that how some people are naturally wired? I’m so incredibly envious if so, how much easier the whole of life would be!

I had the same experience today with my lunch. I have slim friends who don't always finish their meals. We are like them now! But I know this will wear off as soon as we stop taking the pills. So the challenge is going to be how to maintain portion control after that.

Can I join ladies?

Ive had major bowel surgery and due a second operation but due to all the post op issues I’m dealing I’ve asked to postpone although, more likely to decline.

I have endometriosis and adenomyosis as well as a PCOS diagnosis in 2011 and then a scan in 2023 showing cysts and blood work.

I was always struggling to lose weight and after my surgery I’ve another stone.

I want to lose 25lbs and these tablets seem to be the only way.

I appreciate I have to make lifestyle choices but even when I had this period in time where I went gym everyday and ate at 1200 calories, substantially less than my usual, I never lost more than 5lbs.

feel ashamed of myself and only can afford to be on these pills for 3 months.

for context I have a mortgage, was on sick leave for a while and ran up a lot of debt on my CC as the UC I claimed when off sick was for single person over 25 and one child which was about 20% of my mortgage payment let alone my other bills.

back to work full time but don’t have any money left over. My mother has kindly given me £500 to see if k can take these tablets and see a visible difference in three months. I just need something to kick start my weightloss and kill the obsession I have with food.
