Day 2 for me. Felt quite nauseous yesterday but ok today. Feeling fuller at meals today but don’t know if I’m just getting a placebo affect

AprilFlowersMay · 10/07/2026 17:14

Day 3 here: placebo effect or no, I am loving just eating the food that I have planned and not opening and closing fridge / cupboard doors while I quest for something to put in my mouth. I think my body has now decided dairy can easily reside on the revolting side of the equation -- some things are OK but I had an iced latte today after lunch and I took about two sips and then had to abandon it. Who is this person? THIS IS SLIM ME FINALLY GETTING THE CONTROLS BACK! :) I feel amazing. I have skirted on the very slight edge of nausea once or twice, but nothing that would stop me from doing all my normal things and it's passed really quickly. TMI bowels seem within the range of normal so nothing to report there (I was quite twitchy about that, and it may yet crop up but so far all good). Sleep ropey, but again, heat. It's hard to differentiate between what the drug is doing, the placebo effect, and the heat. Frankly, I don't care. I haven't once thought about eating something that I shouldn't. AMAZING.

Day 3 for me.

i am very headachy but it’s so hot. Could be dehydration. I am also drinking a lot of water but could be sameZ

otherwise I feel normal. I feel in control of my eating more and don’t have that “”what can I eat” mindset I sometimes get. But again that could be placebo/normal/heat.

i do think I’m feeling fuller after eating.

You need to add electrolytes if you are drinking a lot of water. That’s what is causing the headache.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 10/07/2026 17:34

Day two here, slightly constipation, and unfortunately INTENSE sugar cravings!
I’ve eaten two mini magnums!
I had this when I came off MJ, it was my downfall.

Roundisashape · 10/07/2026 17:59

I've found today (day 3) that I'm squirreling around looking for food with no desire to actually eat it. I looked in a pack of Doritos and didn't even just have one, a bag of candy kittens, again ignored. I can't tell whether I'm hungry or just on autopilot and would usually be hunting around for food. It's quite an odd sensation.

Daisymail · 10/07/2026 18:35

Nearly the end of day 2 for me, no urge to constantly snack, wasn't expecting that to kick in so quickly. So far, no nausea and hoping to prevent constipation by eating x2 kiwi about an hour before bed, they are full of fibre and also improve serotonin levels so good for sleep.

TheDandyQuail · 10/07/2026 18:57

Thought I would join this thread as I’ve just started the pills. I’m on day 3 and no side effects apart from feeling queasy right after taking the tablet I think this is due to really bad dry mouth though. I honestly don’t feel any different no appetite suppression and no feeling full after meals. I really hope these work as I’ve bought mounjaro and wegovy pens in the past but have been too scared to inject 😂

dolphin17 · 10/07/2026 19:19

How's everyone doing with the 8 hours fasting before the pill? And how long are you leaving it before the first cup of tea or coffee? I know it says 30 minutes. I'm just wondered what others are doing 'cos i have to admit i'm not feeling the 'don't want to eat' yet and not feeling full either which i did on MJ

Saludable · 10/07/2026 19:33

I haven’t started yet but someone advised leaving an hour before breakfast or coffee and having a tiny slug of water before and with the pill to minimise side effects. I plan to try this, keeping them by my bed with a bottle of water and maybe waking an hour before I usually get up?

Fromhere1 · 10/07/2026 19:53

Very interested in trying these...will follow along

Twoshoesnewshoes · 10/07/2026 20:18

I put a single pill on my bedside table table - I often wake up at the sunlight around 5.30 then go back to sleep, so I’ve been taking it then. Having it ready popped means I can do it half asleep.

Chickadeeinme · 10/07/2026 22:03

I keep my tablet bottle in the box it came in, on my bedside table. When I go to bed I take it out of the box and put it next to the box. Whenever I wake up (even if I wake up early and doze off again later) I take the pill with a couple of sips of water and put the bottle back in the box.

My weight started at 219.2lb on March 1st. As of this morning I am 195.6lb. I'm aiming for 170lb, which will still leave me with a BMI in the slightly overweight range, but it feels realistic and I'll be able to fit into the dress I got married in 24 years ago when I first moved to the USA.

Day 3 here, no side effects. Slight headache (but this is probably the heat) I've not eaten anything naughty like biscuits or crisps. But have had 3 normal meals each day. I am getting hungry at the correct times but not too hungry. I feel full for ages. This could all be down to the heat though.

I’m on day 3 too and this is pretty much exactly my experience! I’ve done the jabs previously and I think MJ def has stronger suppression but I feel like these tablets will still be enough for some good weight loss because they make sticking to a diet/healthy eating/calorie limit so much easier. So I’m here for it!

letsgowegovy · 11/07/2026 08:17

Finding the 8 hours ok as I take it first thing in the morning. It’s the hunger suppression thats so interesting. I went to a food market last night and couldn’t bear the thought of greasy food … which I loved. Very conscious of drinking enough water but def still a little head achey. I’m on day 3 and 2lb down so far

Laska2Meryls · 11/07/2026 09:46

Yes the hunger suppression is weird isn't it? Also the feeling stuffed after only a small meal. I love cooking and experimenting with different cuisines.. I recently did an Asian cookery course and yesterday I made a new Thai recipe for our usual 'Friday nite is curry nite' thing and could hardly eat any of it ...
This is only on the lowest dose after 3 days .. I wonder what ill be like on the next one ?

So thats my only side effect so far, but then thats what its supposed to do isn't it ?

Laska2Meryls · 11/07/2026 09:50

With this hot weather though I have been drinking a lot more water, but was also headachey yesterday so I remembered that of course im not eating so much , maybe I needed salt .. so I have myself a tall glass of apple juice and water half and half , and sprinkled a few grains of salt in , I did feel better after and headache feeling went .

You don’t have to go up! Only go up if you aren’t getting enough appetite suppression. I’m planning on staying on the lowest dose if I can.

Saludable · 11/07/2026 10:15

I also plan to stay on the lowest dose, and possibly even to take them every other day to keep costs and side effects as low as possible. It’s a significant financial outlay for me even doing it that way and my hope is that they serve more as a way of keeping me on the straight and narrow than for their actual active properties. But it’s a good feeling to know that if that is not enough on its own then the option to increase is always there. I am so much more scared of having a stroke or getting diabetes or any other horrible side effect of obesity than virtually anything else right now.

Laska2Meryls · 11/07/2026 10:47

Yes I think that I will see how it is in a couple of weeks and if I feel the same and am losing weight I will aldo stick to lowest dose .. its very early days yet ..

Roundisashape · 11/07/2026 11:56

Day 4 here. Hopped on the scales and 4lbs down. Rather pleased on the one hand (though probably all water weight) and a bit concerned that I'm not eating enough on the other.
I even struggled to finish my breakfast this morning, which was not what you'd call substantial. And whilst I get moments of being hungry I literally can't work out what to eat. The heat is probably also contributing.
Though curiously whatever meal I do eat and am full of after a mouthful I find there is still a welcome spot for chocolate or ice cream after. Not sure that's the way it's supposed to work, leave the healthy protein fibre carb meal and eat the ice-cream 🤣

Saludable · 11/07/2026 12:03

So relived that mine arrived just in time before I have to travel, will probably start Tuesday morning when side effects will be easier to manage. I just can’t be dealing with nausea or constipation or diarrhoea on the move.

biscuitcat · 11/07/2026 12:40

Could I join? I’ve just taken the plunge and took my second pill today. Over the last year I managed to lose 3.5 stone just from diet but since returning to work after my maternity leave in March I’ve found it much slower going and have basically maintained - and I’d still like to lose another 1-1.5 stone or so.

I can’t decide whether they’re having an effect or it’s all psychological! There’s been some very mild nausea and I’ve been headachy, but that could well be the heat. I did also find after my lunch today I felt a little queasy - but again, could be nothing and could be the heat. Snacking in the evening and boredom eating, especially when my husband is away, is my real downfall. He’s gone on Tuesday for a couple of nights so that will be my real test. I’d love for it to work well, and hopefully some time before the end of the year to reach my goal - I think basically it’s just to feel right, and to fit into a particular pair of jeans I have, which I would guess is nearer a stone as they currently do up but are very unflattering…

Chickadeeinme · 11/07/2026 12:49

I weigh myself every morning and although I’ve lost steadily since the beginning of March I still bounce up and down a pound or so, so I don’t worry too much about it as long as the overall trajectory is down. I’ve been so not-hungry in the last week, mainly because of heat on top of the pill, that I made a deliberate effort to bump my calories back up to 1400 yesterday because I don’t want to start messing about with my metabolism.

I’m on the injections, I jumped up to 5mg and regretted it. If was only afterwards that I realised the 2.5mg was working perfectly well and there was zero need to go up. I realised I had succumbed to the pharmacy marketing emails

Yetanotherone12 · 11/07/2026 13:06

Ok so it’s only day 4 for me but my mindset is definitely changing even if it is early doors for the physical effects.

i woke up hungry and immediately started my internal food debate. How hungry am I? Can I hold off a bit and save the calories for later? Do I have a drink and see if it goes away? How long do I fight the hunger for?

then i realised i can just have my breakfast. I’m less hungry and fuller quicker so i can have smaller portions later. Whether that’s the heat/placebo/wegovy or not. Bit of a mental revelation to work with the hunger signals rather than fighting them constantly.
