Hello lovely new thread! Lovely to see all your posts and updates. I’m still lurking, still doing my Pilates and still a size 10 and managing to keep the weight off! Fluctuating between 9 stone 7 and 9 stone 12 currently, managing to keep it off with diet alone no need for more jabs. Just need to watch what I’m doing and be careful. Am allowing myself treat days and then offsetting by being really good for a few.
still not used to buying size 10’s - stuff arrives and I think “well that will never do up!” And then it does which is always a delightful surprise 😂
love to you all! 🫶🏻

FlorenceNightshade · 20/04/2026 17:17

@AccidentalPrawnYouFool wow well done you! How long have you been off the jabs? That’s my goal to taper down and stop completely. Did you do that or was it more of a cold turkey approach? Would love some tips!!!

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 20/04/2026 17:19

I stopped in October last year, I only ever went up to 5 but I went down to 2.5 and then stopped. The cost went up and I was at goal weight so just risked it. It was fine, I did put on some after I came off but I’d factored that in, I’m best at 9 stone 7 but we’ve just come back from Australia so I’m a bit heavier at 9 stone 12 at the moment. Plan to drop a few lbs by dieting before my birthday in May!

FlorenceNightshade · 20/04/2026 17:27

Yeah I started titrating down end of last year as I’d never gone above 5mg either. I started leaving longer between doses but I didn’t give myself enough of a buffer and wasn't happy with how much weight I was gaining so decided to start again! I’m hoping to get a few kg under my goal so I can taper off and stay off this time.

Good luck! I think going past goal is key as it gives you a little leeway when your appetite inevitably returns! X

Marking my spot! In maintenance mode with 1.25mg. Might try to stop during the summer but with a pen ready for winter just in case! Good luck to all!!

Sallycinnamum · 20/04/2026 18:20

Can't believe its been a year!

I have now lost a total of 3 stone and weighing in at 8.9lbs.

Despite intending to come off it last autumn, I'm now micro dosing 2.5mg from a 5mg pen. Think it's definitely keeping the insulin resistance in check but will have to bite the bullet and stop at some point in the future.

Well done to all you fabulous lovers!

Gingercar · 20/04/2026 18:28

So many of you at goal!👏👏👏

Really great to hear you have managed fine without MJ for 6 months @AccidentalPrawnYouFool. I’m hoping to stop in about 8’weeks, and unfortunately will be nowhere near goal as my progress has been so slow lately! I have, though, lost a handful of lbs over an elephant penis! 🐘 (funnily enough no penis symbol on my phone!😆)

HereIGoOnceMore · 20/04/2026 18:47

Jumping on board. I didn’t actually start until the end of May last year, so I’ve a little longer to my MJ birthday, but it’s been a good year and your company and support is massively appreciated.

I am deeply jealous of all the pics of holidays and outdoor adventures. It sounds like you are enjoying yourselves. We’ve had good weather today, but I ve been working and it’s bloomin’ cold indoors.

So good to be going into spring and summer knowing I can wear shorts with confidence.

Herewegoagain80 · 20/04/2026 19:17

If you’d have told me a year ago that I would be 4 stone (a slightly less well endowed elephant maybe) down by now, I would never have believed you.

I was very sceptical about WLI’s especially with all the horror stories about side effects but Wegovy has been life changing for me. It hasn’t been the easy ride that some, mainly non-WLI users, think it is. I still get hungry, still want to eat nice food, still battle with resisting that bar of chocolate but the reduction in food noise has made it so much more bearable. I’ve been eating in a calorie deficit, tracking calories and exercising 6 days a week including strength sessions at the gym.

I’ve basically changed my whole lifestyle but it’s definitely worth it. I’m in the thick of perimenopause with everything that throws at you but I feel fitter & stronger than I have done in years. I want to lose around another stone but am starting to concentrate more on building muscle. I haven’t even started to think about how I’m going to titrate down but that’s still some way off.

It’s lovely to hear all your stories of holidays, events & days out. It’s certainly a confidence boost when you feel comfortable and good about yourself.

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 20/04/2026 19:32

5 stone down here, currently hovering around 10st8. I'd like to hit 10st exactly which is a healthy BMI, but I'm not quite sure how to get there. I'm hitting 1400 cals a day on 5mg but have 7 full doses of 5mg left so will titrate down probably on my final pen.

kiwiane · 20/04/2026 19:45

4 stones down but started at the end of May; I’m interested in reducing my dose after I’ve lost another stone. It is amazing and I appreciate starting when I did as it would’ve been harder with the price increases.
My self esteem has improved; I like wearing clothes; I feel more energised; my arthritis is better and I still enjoy my food. The cost is the only downside for me.

ElsieJay · 20/04/2026 19:49

Many thanks for new thread, @FlorenceNightshade !

The end of the holiday looms - we’re 95% packed. showered , fridge emptied etc etc.
Will resume chat when home 🏡.

Wow everyone doing so well.

i never used Vinted before. Scared of being scammed or buying junk.

is it easy to search for stuff in a particular size or brand.

SignedUpAgain · 20/04/2026 19:55

I am Vinted OBSESSED.

Some tips...you can personalise the settings so it'll suggest items from certain brands in certain sizes. I've got settings for myself, husband and kid's sizes & brands so I get things pushed my way that will fit / suit everyone.

You can favourite / like items that you like the of. If I'm after some M&S Eva jeans I will search for them in the size I want, like a few and then the next day it will suggest even more in different colours and at different price points.

I've used it to buy specific things like a Per Una dress I loved but had gotten too baggy with the weight loss...I've now bought that same dress in 3 sizes and sold the bigger ones on.

I'm now far too lazy to go into actual shops as it's like having a whole shopping centre at your fingertips! Plus it saves so much money.

I've only had one dud item and got a refund from it.

Just realised my whole outfit I posted on the last thread was Vinted...even the Coach handbag and scarf. I draw the line at knickers though 😅😅😅

SussexLass87 · 20/04/2026 22:15

Checking in 👋
Thank you for all of the support and laughs along the way.

I'm 2.5 stone down, and would ideally like to lose another 2.5. I'm currently a size 14 and would like to be a 10-12. We shall see how it goes!

Lots of love to you all - Sussex 💓

@HKG - Congratulations !! 🥳
Not every day you can claim an elephant’s penis ……
Though I’m not sure this particular one has the appendage in question .
