Gotta go ….. ✈️ xx

Gingercar · 21/04/2026 09:18

Safe flight @ElsieJay. At least we’re predicted a few days of nice weather here for your return!

MyScaredCat · 21/04/2026 11:34

Just checking in on new thread so I don’t lose you. I don’t post much but love to read all your victories

Kipperandarthur · 21/04/2026 13:13

4.5 stone down, plus the 1 stone I did on my own before WLI.

Another 2.5 stone to go and I'm just going up to about 11.6mg as I have a 10mg pen and an old 5mg pen that I'm starting to use as a top up and I did x 20 clicks of it today.

Slightly reticent to go full 12.5 as have a way to go yet.

Really want to be at goal now in the Autumn and then move into some form of maintenance forever ?!

WeaselTrap · 21/04/2026 18:15

Ooh glad to have found you again. I’m 3.5stone down (somewhere between an elephant heart and a hay bale) and have reduced from a size 20/22 to a 16. I’m finally out of obese BMI woop woop. Struggling a bit with saggy skin on neck and tummy but I am approaching 50 so I guess it is to be expected? Just gone up to 10mg, and have another in the fridge. Not sure how long I’ll stay in weight loss mode, I certainly don’t want to be smaller than a size 14. I’m guessing another 1.5stones to go?

Merluzzo · 21/04/2026 18:50

How lovely to see some old faces from the original threads! Thanks for our anniversary thread @FlorenceNightshade.

Great to see so many successes, it really has been a memorable year, hasn’t it?

I’m now at goal after losing 4 stone 8lb. My weight is steady around 9 stone 7 and like @AccidentalPrawnYouFool I’m keeping a careful eye on it, if it starts to creep up I just have a couple of strict days. I think this is how the rest of my life will have to be. There’s no way I’m going back to the old weight.

I’m immensely grateful for Mounjaro, it changed my life and sharing the ups and downs with you made it much easier. Love to you all 💖

Gingercar · 21/04/2026 21:57

It’s really nice to hear from these names and celebrate your successes.

@Merluzzo are you off the injections now? It’s really hope inspiring to hear people are doing well without it. I really hope I can.

DBatteryBand · 22/04/2026 06:32

<Waves to all>

Excellent to ‘see’ everyone and hear how everyone is doing. 95lbs off here, so somewhere between a new born calf and a 2 month old pony. I saw a picture of myself from this time last year and can’t believe it’s the same woman who just bought her first ever wet suit in preparation for going paddle boarding (!!!) and kayaking (!!!) in the summer holidays. I have had a lifetime of standing around holding the coats - it’s time to join in the fun.

Merluzzo · 22/04/2026 07:14

@Gingercar yes, I’m off the injections, although I do have 3 unused pens in the fridge in case I need them. I think this has been a good way for me to do it, it’s a sort of security blanket that I know if I start to go crazy again I have a pen available, so it’s taken away some of the fear of stopping.

@DBatteryBand 95lbs! Wow that’s incredible. Well done and I hope you have a great time in your wetsuit.

ElsieJay · 22/04/2026 08:28

@DBatteryBand - “Join in the fun” sums up all our our weight loss journeys doesn’t it .
Excellent new motto for our Anniversary thread !

Another day another walk and another hill! I will get off this bloody plateau one way or another! Still no loss yet this week (or last) without any good reason. Not giving in!

ElsieJay · 22/04/2026 17:43

@Gingercar - stunning photos of The Lake and The Lab .
Next week hope it’s all about The Loss !
You certainly deserve it.

Long day of travelling yesterday, and long day today of food shop, collect cat from Cattery, take her to vet (regular arthritis jab)
followed by hospital appointment with, and for, DH and then visiting relative who’s an in patient at the moment.
Reapply for DH’s blue badge ( renewal , but the online form is sooooo long and complicated ).
Tonight’s tea is a naughty takeaway.
And then SLEEP 💤.
Jab tomorrow!

Gingercar · 22/04/2026 18:29

Sounds more exhausting than walking up the hill @ElsieJay!
I think I’m wearing the lab out. He just turned 11 and we haven’t walked as far lately as my other dog is 12 and is struggling going more than half a mile. So I’ve sadly started leaving her at home. She’s only little and I’ve bought her a sling/bag carrier, so might start carrying her if I get fitter (she weighs just over a a stone). I was pretty chuffed today, - little NSV - I haven’t walked up that hill for a couple of years as it’s a killer. I usually have to stop three or four times to get my breath back, but now I’m 4.5 stones down I didn’t even stop once.

Foreveronaplane · 22/04/2026 21:25

👏👏👏

Kbr22 · 22/04/2026 23:03

Wow a new thread, and nearly a year on this journey. I started on 19th May, and without you lovely ladies I might have given up but I didn’t. I am now 2kg of my goal of 60kg, so hopefully by May 19th I will have done it. Then the scary part starts!!! I checked my waist measurement today and have lost 9 inches!! I didn’t keep photos of myself but my son showed me one from last April when I took all the family to Disney and I could have cried at the difference in a good way! I love that so many of you are still here, and just hope we can carry on as I love this group xxxx

Gingercar · Yesterday 00:14

That’s amazing!👏👏👏

ElsieJay · Yesterday 02:14

Well done , @Gingercar and @Kbr22 !

The “sleep” resolution didn’t go brilliantly - went to bed 9pm ( body clock still on Cyprus time I think ) and now here at 2.11am, wide awake ….
And totally forgot to jab 🙄
Ah well, tomorrow today is another day.

Megsdaughter · Yesterday 09:35

Just checking in. 6.4st down.
I started at a size 26 and now in a 18. Would be in a 16 if it wasnt for lower belly fat. It just dosnt want to shift. Well it has as my winter coat that I bought in a 18 was tight to do up around my belly is now loose but it feels like it isnt shifting.
Have bought some new summer clothes as had nothing that fitted. Still buying long toos though to cover belly.

Still upwards and onwards. 😁

Gingercar · Yesterday 11:56

Lots of fabulous losses on here! 👏👏👏

SutekhsEars · Yesterday 13:48

6.4 st @Megsdaughter ! Wow! Amazing loss!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · Yesterday 14:41

Absolutely loving this thread. We are badasses.
My weight loss seems to have stopped according to the scales but I'm feeling good in myself. My size 16 jeans are starting to get loose which is amazing.

I'm really getting back into wearing make up again and loving it. I used YSL's foundation match tool and then ordered some samples in the recommended shade from vinted. The vinted seller sent me ten samples by mistake and by some quirk in the universe, it's a perfect match! I got 50ml of YSL foundation for 8 quid!

Loving life at the moment!

SignedUpAgain · Yesterday 22:07

That’s amazing @megsdaughter Well done you.

I’ve dropped from 20/22 to mostly size 16, maybe a few 14s.
It’s amazing. Isn’t it.

Kbr22 · Yesterday 22:49

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I am amazed that I now want to wear make up, after so many years of why bother!
I have now started watching you tube videos of make up for over 60’s and am learning so much! I love trying new eye make up shades. When I was in my 40’s I loved make up, then just gave up as didn’t like my look so much!
I have also started looking at videos as to what to wear! I don’t want to look like mutton dressed up as lamb! This is a slower process as I don’t think what I am looking at is really me. Strange I know! When you have always not wanted to look in a mirror it is a bit scary now, and don’t want to always wear big baggy clothes but it is difficult what is right for me.
Does anyone else have this problem or is it just a confidence thing.
I just want casual smart, but not long and baggy.
Not sure I have the confidence yet!!
What are you all doing?

ElsieJay · Today 11:19

Amazing news from @Megsdaughter @DidILeaveTheGasOn and @SignedUpAgain . ⭐️⭐️⭐️

It is hard getting used to our new bodies and “joining in the fun” , as dear @DBatteryBand put it.
I’ve never attempted Vinted , but have been ordering clothes online and trying a few new outfits at home - bit of a faff returning those that don’t suit, but prefer not to slog round the shops .
I like linen trousers , preferably cropped , and a nice T shirt . I’ve finally bought the navy and white striped Breton top that 8 year old me was told she was too fat for - shared this on one of our early threads, when we were discussing what we’d buy when we’d shed the pounds.
Have two dresses, and a jumpsuit , that arrived earlier, ready to try on - never considered a jumpsuit before as didn’t want to look like a 1970s Playschool presenter ( or a little fat plumber ). We shall see !
Don’t do much in the way of make up - I like a suntan, red lip gloss ( and nails !) and a swoosh of mascara - but perfume is my not so secret indulgence ….
