@Kbr22 I'm slowly figuring out what I like to wear now, and what suits me.
I bought a top from New Look and was astounded at how much younger I looked. Still not sure on the jeans. I'm watching the 90s well and truly get comfortable in clothes shops, it's like I'm a teenager all over again.

I've got this in my bag at the moment:

to potentially wear with flared or mom jeans. I'm sitting here looking at it thinking, 'is that too young for me?' but I don't really think that's a 'thing'. I don't know where that thought has come from. I really like the neckline and sleeves on it.
Can't see myself ordering cargo trousers to go with it though.

I think it’s the fashion! I was in a big Tesco yesterday looking at clothes and was wondering whether some were trousers or pyjamas!
But I bought a size 14 blouse and it drowns me, and a medium size t shirt fits, whereas this time last year I’d have been looking for XL as a minimum, or men’s t shirts. I keep picking size L things up and thinking they look big, and thinking they must have put the wrong label on.

Ive done thousands of extra steps this week and lite of big hills in with those, but still not even gone down to where I was two weeks ago (and there was never any obvious reason why I’d gone up 3lbs anyway!). But strangely it’s not bothered me as I know it’s got to be a blip and must come off sooner or later - that feels quite nice that I’ve not spiralled off the wagon.

SussexLass87 · 24/04/2026 15:32

Friday check in - another week of maintaining. Sigh.

Better than a gain but it's made me determined to dig deep this week and make it a loss!!

I’m with you. But not getting off the wagon. Gotta get some movement sooner or later!

Apprenante · 24/04/2026 17:08

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I don't think that top is too young for you - it's a style I'd wear and I'm 72. But not in brown as it's not in my colour range.
I'm currently in skinny jeans (I know and i don't care) and a t shirt. About to put on leggings to go to the gym. Definitely too old for all of that but again - I don't care.

@SussexLass87 Just think about what you've lost overall. Scales will move - and check out how your body feels.

Save me a seat on that wagon! Another STS this week for me too. 🤣🤣

Our wagon….

Stepped enthusiastically onto the scales earlier in the week and they immediately started chatting shite about me putting on half a pound and i just walked away. My clothes feel good so I think it's all going in the right direction.

Starting to look a bit knackered around the eyes now. I've gone from looking slimmer and neater around the jawline to... a lovely smooth complexion with no puffiness to... cracks are beginning to emerge and they're like faultlines.

Last June I had lumi pro injections in my undereye area, it's intensive moisturiser injected just ever so slightly under the skin, and that helped, not sure what to consider now. I've heard too many negative things about filler.

ElsieJay · 24/04/2026 18:33

Love the blouse and tank top, @DidILeaveTheGasOn , but agree with you about the trousers - think it must be the stripes and the draw cord at the waist , one or the other but not both!
WW weigh in this morning and a gain of 2.5lbs, so am a whisker under 10 stone.
Jabbed earlier, upped it to the full 5mg and already feeling shattered .
Budge up on the wagon, is there room for one more ?

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/04/2026 19:21

Come on up @ElsieJay, would you like a blanket? Cushion for tiny arse?
Sat outside in the garden enjoying the evening sunshine with the cats, it's beautiful, not a cloud in the sky. Just realised I am late jabbing but have a cat on my lap.

Apprenante · 24/04/2026 20:52

Are there seat belts on the wagon to stop me falling off? It looks wobbly ....

Gingercar · 24/04/2026 22:23

No but you’ve got the rest of us ready to grab you and pull you back up if you’re teetering.

@Gingercar 😂😂😂thank you. Still 'on holiday' so may need a seat belt extender.

SussexLass87 · 26/04/2026 10:51

Well a very nice NSV this morning - I've been ordering off Vinted madly, trying to find the unicorn of a dress for DH's military event next month.

Finally found the right one (an XL dress from Zara)...we all know how unpredictable their sizing is. Lo and behold it's too big!

Tracked down an L and it's too big! Tracked down a M and it only flipping fits. Don't think I've ever fitted into a Zara M before.

Also...2 days of no sugar and I'm feeling much brighter...but also like I'd kill my whole family for a dairy milk 🤣🤣

Gingefringe · 26/04/2026 12:32

Hi Losers. I've been lurking on these threads since I started MJ on 1st May last year and continue to be amazed at everyone's losses. I can't believe that we're coming up to our anniversary, and the tone of the thread has now changed from the side-effects of the drug to fashion tips for our new figures.

In that time I've lost 3 stone and am now BMI 24 at 9st 8lb (ish) and been off MJ since November. I only went up to 3.75mg and during the last few weeks titrated at 1.25mg until my pen ran out.

I've managed to keep the weight off within about a pound or two but have to be fairly strict with myself. I weigh daily, eat minimal UPF, up the water and protein etc - much the same as when I was on the jab - but it's quite hard and I have often been tempted to get onto a maintenance plan if I've gained a pound or two but I usually manage to get back to my goal weight.

Whilst I didn't have a lot to lose compared to a lot of the cohort, it has still been life changing for me at 63 - I'm able to wear anything I like as I love clothes, no rub chub, smaller boobs, no aching joints, less snoring and I'm able to cycle and run confidently. I'm looking forward to the summer for a change but it's costing me a fortune to change my wardrobe from size 14/16 to 10 - I now know our Evri delivery chap very well.

I had a total stranger come up to me this week to say how much she liked my outfit and how I wore it (midi denim dress with a boxy gingham jacket and pink trainers) - that was a real boost.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy the sunshine. 😁

ElsieJay · 26/04/2026 12:54

@DidILeaveTheGasOn - thanks, a cushion would be appreciated- my arse is far from tiny, but somehow a lot bonier these days .

@Gingercar - thrilled you’ve finally found The Dress ! And the size a definite bonus.Looking forward to pics of the event in due course.

@Gingefringe - congratulations on keeping the weight off , think we all experiment a bit until we find what works for us. Lovely to receive compliments from a stranger, bet you felt ten feet tall afterwards .

Have opened my parcel and decided to keep two out of three of the items - one is the jumpsuit, which my DH doesn’t like but it’s not him wearing it ! I think it’ll be cool and comfortable for holidays, if any of us manage to get away this year.
I’ll try to upload a pic , but it’s not me wearing it , I’m shorter and wider than the model, took a chance and ordered size S and it’s fine .

Super outfit @ElsieJay

@SussexLass87 Any chance of a photo of you in your posh frock?

Megsdaughter · 26/04/2026 18:36

Going to a wedding at Christmas so thought I would look in the sales for a long coat (already have a size 14 dress Ive never worn)
Debenhams had a lovely Wallis one for £33.00 down from £110.00! Im an 18 at the moment so went for the 16 thinking if it really is to big ( I wish) I coukd alwats put ut on vinted.

Well it arrived. Would go round me twice!

Do Wallis always come up big!

Luckily they still had it in a 12 so returned the 16 and bought the 12.

If I ever get to a real 12 I would die if happiness 😁

SussexLass87 · 26/04/2026 19:36

Ooh I'll post one when I'm dolled up - thanks @Apprenante 💓

That's a lovely feeling @Megsdaughter - congrats.

Hope you've all had good weekends - I've uncovered the garden furniture and read outside which was a lovely feeling.

Kbr22 · 26/04/2026 23:12

I am so happy, this mornings weigh in and I am in the normal BMI!!!!! This has been my goal all along. Gone from morbidly obese to normal, dancing around the room x

That’s absolutely fantastic, @Kbr22 !!! What an amazing achievement!!!! Well done! Never mind dancing around the room, get out there in the street, woman!

Gingercar · 27/04/2026 11:52

That is awesome @Kbr22 !! Well done you.

I am still plateauing despite doubling my steps and being angelic this week. 🙁. Still plodding on, because that’s all I can do. I read something on a MJ Facebook group that said plateaus can last 2-8 weeks (😱😱)

SignedUpAgain · 27/04/2026 12:20

The plateaus are soo annoying. Mind has definitely been for weeks now - but going to try to stay positive and focused.
still feeling better than this time last year.

have to remind myself not to get too discouraged- and take it a day at a time.
