I haven't updated on this thread for ages.
Maintenance has been, well, up and down as I imagine it has been for all of you.
I lost 60lb over the course of 18 months, hitting close to my target of 140lbs last November. I stopped before target because of the cost. My highest dose at that stage was 11.5mg. I titrated down to 7.5mg every 10 days, but had to go back to dosing every week as I saw the scales rise over Christmas. Going back to once a week helped get rid of the extra pounds.
I then went to have surgery in February (I got a tummy tuck to fix split ab muscles) which meant I had to come off the medication for four weeks. I weighed myself a week post surgery and had put on 6lbs, but some of that was probably swelling. I started back on 3.75 and titrated up to 5.5mg and all the weight came back off. So I happily continued on 5.5mg and stayed at goal until, I would say, early May. Quite quickly - like over the space of three weeks, I put on 9lbs. I also felt a distinct increase in food noise and appetite. I titrated up to 6.5mg and upped my exercise and water intake, and came down 3lbs but the other 6lbs doesn't appear to want to shift.
I'm toying with the idea of titrating up again, and trying to lose more than the 6lbs to give myself a little more wiggle room in the future. But just the cost of it is stopping me at the moment, and I don't feel any difference in my clothes or in the mirror. And I did get a return of side effects once I went back up, so that's also holding me back. I have had a few things on over weekends for past month and side effects on a campsite or at a concert are never going to be welcome, so I didn't increase my dose. So we'll see. I may titrate back up at the end of the summer, and see if it makes any difference. But I may have to accept that 150lbs is my new norm, instead of my target of 140lbs.
