Feeling deflated , 12.5 is doing nothing at all , done 3 jabs and it’s been like injecting water , the food noise and hunger testing my patience and strength. I’m maintaining but just deflated when it’s so pricey hoping 15mg will work at least a bit other wise I will have to look at split dosing 10/5 let’s see

I must be shrinking inches though as had so many comments last couple of weeks of how slim I am (BMI 28)

Sorry to hear this, could u maybe jab every 5days?

northernlight20 · 23/06/2026 11:49

I’m here still maintaining between 8st 5 and 8st 7 with a bmi of 21.6. Wanted to get down to bmi of 20 for my holiday but the comments about looking too thin has been too much. I’ve even been asked if I feel well. Had fillers in my face a few weeks back as I feel it’s the loss of volume in the face that prompted all the comments and it’s been better since. I just think the contrast of 18st to 8st 5 is too much for some ppl, hopefully this time next year everyone will be used to my new look and all comments will stop. The one thing I struggle with though is male attention, having spent decades being invisible, it now makes my skin crawl.

TheBossOfMe · 23/06/2026 20:22

@BipalossI’d definitely try split dosing and see if that helps. One thing I’ve noticed for me is that suppression wears off over time - when I first started I had loads on 2.5mg even when I split the dose. Now I have none, which is fine because I don’t need it. Possibly just because I got used to higher suppression on a higher dose. But it does mean mentally I’ve had to learn to be ok with being hungry and having food noise back and rely a lot more on willpower and not eating crap (and oh boy do I pile on weight when I don’t do that). I’ve also realised I react really badly to UPFs - even a small amount of them makes me crave more. So I use the Yuka app to try and minimise them. It’s hard though, even taking my eye off the ball for a few weeks has shown me how much discipline is needed even when still on MJ.

@northernlight20- I have a very low differential between looking good (people saying how well I look) and looking gaunt (are you ok?). It’s only about 4lb - 20.9/21 is my sweet spot, 20.5 is really aging these days. I want to slap Janice sometimes but she may have a point occasionally!

Bipaloss · 23/06/2026 20:35

Thank you @northernlight20 @TheBossOfMe im gonna try after 5 days this week to see if it makes a different if not try a dose of 15mg if that’s dosnt work il try 15/5 every 4 days. Hoping every 5 days could work. @northernlight20 did you ever reduce days on 15mg, just want experience of it considering its the highest dose which I didn’t go up to last time around

it’s so frustrating as this is the exact same weight I was at lowest after DS1 which was the lowest since my 20’s (was 1 st lighter when I got married at 26) . My current weight is a weight feel confident in and due to my hight I do look slimmer then my BMI (I have chicken body /very slim legs with a tummy and a smaller chest) at 5”8 , however I want to loose the last 1-2st as I know my tummy is the place that will shrink during that weight loss

hopefully some magic MJ effect in the coming weeks with some test and trials

When I was on 15mg, I regularly did 7.5mg twice a week(Friday and Monday). I’ve never really had much suppression that people talk about, but it did take the edge off the hunger. Now in maintenance and eating a bit more, I’m fine on 5mg dose once a week. I’m going on holiday soon and thinking of doing 5mg twice a week just for while on holiday and the week after we get back. Keep going, you’ll get there. And @TheBossOfMe i think you’re right, seems to be I have around 5lbs difference where the whole world it feels asks if I’m ok. Very weird.

Taking my meds my head is calm ,all good xx weight is low but hey ho rather have a calm brain than anything else.

Faifaxandflavor · 27/06/2026 17:25

It was my birthday 24 6 , I was 59 , never thought I'd be this weight, xx

TheBossOfMe · 27/06/2026 17:54

Hi @Faifaxandflavor - have you lost more weight or are you trying the microdosing and managing to maintain/gain? I know you say you'd rather have a calm brain, but it is possible to have both a calm brain and be a healthy weight. The health risks of being too underweight are as significant as being overweight - you said you were at 16.9 BMI last time you checked in. That is very low indeed.

Faifaxandflavor · 27/06/2026 18:06

@TheBossOfMe Hi, I'm hovering at a low weight, admittedly it's probably lower than it should be but it's where it is . My brain is calm and I'm not fixating on food.
I somehow got to this weight, and it's where it wants to be ,it is very low but it's been this way for months and is easy to me maintain.
I tried coming off, but my brain didn't like it so here I am about 7st sometimes under sometimes a bit over, but I will keep jabbing whilst it keeps me calm.

TheBossOfMe · 27/06/2026 18:26

I know you don't trust your GP - perhaps someone working specifically in AuDHD could help you find that balance? My lovely friend who lost it last summer now completely understands that her psychosis was triggered by low weight post the death of her husband - she was around 16 BMI when it kicked in. Sorry, hope you don't think I'm preaching, I'm just very cognisant these days of the mental health risk that comes with very low BMI as well as the physical health risk.

Faifaxandflavor · 27/06/2026 18:32

@TheBossOfMe you are probably right, and thanks for your reply, I know it's not really healthy, at my weight but I am okay in my head, the balance is so delicate, so at the moment I am keeping jabbing and keeping at this weight and it seems to be ok.

Having seen @lilymty amazing achievement I wonder how much all the March 2025 have lost, when I started this thread I never thought we would be still supporting each other over a year later, we have become such a supportive group.

We have supported each other through family deaths, stressful times, life changing decisions, celebrating great news and have also done so with great advice.

Thank you to each of you.

I have lost 5stone 4lbs.

Tbh im just in shock. When i started my mind set was if i could lose 50lbs then that would be life changing, i cant believe im actually so close to 150lbs. Im still classed as obese though so want to get into the overweight category which is another 13 pounds.
