@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I was my blanket with the plug thing attached so yours is probably fine too but you could maybe find the instructions online if not.

I dropped three pound this week which is a massive surprise but I have a job interview today and have been puking and pooping since I found out last week, so that could be it. I've ordered wegovy from medicine marketplace at it's so much cheaper then MJ, I have a consultation with them tomorrow so will see how I get on
First order is £202 for three 2.4 pens which will last three months there's got to be a catch, guess I'll find out tomorrow

I do wonder what makes people do that though? Just to stir up trouble? For attention?

That's not the first thread re losing the golden dose that's been on MN that's just twaddle. How odd.

I'm also hopping over from the new Feb starter's thread. I've got such a long journey ahead, it's great to hear from those at all stages

@Castlebark I have a feeling you'll soon get disenchanted with that thread, because in three months' time, half of them will be at their goal weight, while you'll have lost 2 - 3 stone and will have a much longer way to go.

I also bet that quite a lot of them are starting at a lower weight than your goal, and complaining about how enormous they are.

Yup there is a bit of this I am feeling, definitely. I like hearing from others starting at the same time but I will be on this journey for a lot longer than many. On a happier
note, my fasting blood sugar is MUCH improved already. (I am NHS-prescribed for T2 diabetes).

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/02/2026 14:51

Ooh that's good news about your blood sugar @Theringcycle

Had my first dose on Saturday evening and have had noooo sleep all night with raging diarrhoea. I’ve learned to not trust a fart … luckily boss said I can WFH today so at least I can have uninterrupted access to the loo! 🙈🤣

Take loperamide as soon as it starts.
2 x 2mg tabs.

You can get them on Ebay much more cheaply than Imodium costs in the shops.

Thanks for your answer about the heated throw @Doggymummar

If it stops working afterwards I'll tell everyone it was your fault and I'll make you buy me a new one.
🤣🤣🤣

Ahhh good advice! Many thanks :) during the day today I’ve been fine. Could have gone to the office but didn’t want to take the chance!

I reduced my blood sugars from 43 to 31 in the past year! Non-diabetic range! It’s bloody marvellous for that!

Well thanks for that, I appreciate it! Don't tumble it tho, well mine can't. I wash it on its own quick wash 30 degrees 800 spin and dry near th3 radiator

I seem too have spilt all kinds of stuff on it.

Thanks! My diabetes nurse said that when she checked the results before my appointment she did a double-take!

I’m still on a high about it tbh!

Yeah, well I didn't like to confess such a thing on this particular thread.

Everyone knows by now my diet consists of ice-cream and chocolate p, but not tonight, I've got rice from the rice cooker

Edited

Ooh!
Tonight I've had honey and mustard chicken, roast celeriac and peas.

I then had an orange jelly with cream.

As I've got my day surgery tomorrow, I decided to finish my dinner off with a packet of wine gums.

I'm going to bed at 8pm because we're leaving at 04.30. Groan.

Very best of luck @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I think we’ll all be thinking of you.

eibbed999 · 23/02/2026 18:15

Good luck @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne - hope it all goes smoothly! You deffo deserve the wine gums.

eibbed999 · 23/02/2026 18:23

I was just trying to find that silly list, you know the one that says you've lost the equivalent of a washing machine or a pickled egg or whatever, cos it always makes me laugh. I googled it and got told this: There is no connection between weight loss programs and elephant anatomy.

I think you can probably guess which item on the list I remembered!

If anyone has it to hand, though, please share.

I definitely haven't got an elephant's penis in my hand.

I did think about starting a new thread (and might for some specific advice) but I wanted to share first with you lovely lot.

Just seen a consultant. Diagnosed with gall stones and need a gall bladder removal. I’ve got to stop Mounjaro until after surgery. No taper, just stop. He says I can start afterwards again but no idea how to find someone who’ll take me. And how do I manage going cold turkey?

I’m 1st from my goal now and fitting into my target size clothes. I’m devastated and so worried the weight will pile on.

[Will be thinking of you tomorrow @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne]
