Oh what’s happened to this thread?!

I used to be on it but not since Christmas. Anyway I thought I’d return for a bit. I was tapering down at Christmas time having lost 6.5st and got to goal weight. Put on about a stone thanks (I think) to a combination of festivities and MJ dose going below 5mg. So I now take 5mg as a maintenance dose and have lost most of it. I do have to be super careful though.

Anyway -
B: decaf black coffee
L: leftover chilli with some mixed bean, alfalfa and broccoli shoots, protein yogurt with frozen pineapple, mango, papaya
S: handful of cashews
D: pasta with sausage and carrot, apple with peanut butter

Went for a run and did a plank (attempting to gradually extend my plank time, currently on 1min 35 secs)

Hey 👋 I’ll join in again! Although it was my daughter’s birthday today so not a great example!!

I’m in maintenance - taking 1.25mg

E: cycle to work
B: Apple, 0% Greek yog, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, sprinkle of museli and homemade granola, coffee with coconut milk
L: spicy lentils with cauliflower, sweetcorn, edamame and spinach
E: cycled home
D: 3/4 dominoes small veggie supreme pizza, very small slice of homemade birthday cake
S: small bowl sweet and salt popcorn and four dark chocolate coated ginger pieces

I would love to get down to a tiny dose but when I tried that before everything went a bit wrong below 5mg. I hope to try again once I’ve been stable for a few months 🤞

1.25mg has not been without its challenges. Food noise is definitely back and I don’t have the feeling of fullness that I got on higher doses. It definitely stops me wanting to binge though which was an issue for me as a stress response. My plan had been to try coming off in September but I’m feeling more and more nervous about that the closer September comes!! I am open to staying on forever if I have to and hopefully it will get cheaper as time goes on and new drugs come onto the market. Maybe you just decreased too quickly - it’s great you were able to put your dose up and catch things though - this is where I’ve always failed with diets before - I was good at losing - not good at maintaining!

Me too @Incognitoburrito88 - losing is so much easier somehow! And maintenance is where the real work begins. I had a little stash of pens which I’ve just finished so about to restart buying again. I think I have probably forgotten / minimised how much they cost 😬

Anyway - today:
E: gym strength class am / dance class pm
B: slice of sourdough with peanut butter, decaf black coffee
L: leftover mushroom risotto, mixed bean / alfalfa / broccoli sprouts, protein yogurt with frozen pineapple, mango, papaya
S: ham and cheese, handful of cashews
D: coronation chicken salad with roasted cauliflower, strawberries and raspberries with kefir yogurt and mixed seeds
2x cups of tea, 3L water

Snack: slice sourdough with jam
E: 35 mins stairmaster, knee rehab exercises, cycled to work
B: Greek yog, berries, apple, muesli and granola
L: 2 slices left over pizza, lots of chopped veg
E: cycled home
D: stir fry veg with small portion of noodles and hot smoked salmon
S: small bowl salted popcorn, sprinkle dark chocolate chips, 4 x dark chocolate ginger pieces

S: rice crispie square
E: 8 km run then cycle to work
B: coffee with coconut milk, Greek yog, apple, raspberry, passion fruit, small portion muesli and homemade granola
L: smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich with sourdough. Tomato, red cabbage, sugarsnap peas, sweetcorn
E: cycled home
D: Thai veg red curry with rice and mango chutney
S: 3 x chocolate covered freeze dried raspberries, biscoff ice cream sandwich
