Officially now into the overweight category. Lost 17.9kg so far. I’m really excited to reach this milestone (not a mini target like I call all the others). I do have a couple of other mini targets coming up soon so lots of dopamine rushes will be coming my way over the next couple of weeks. Another 1.15 to get to 3stone loss and I’m 1.4kg off where I got too a few years ago.

I now fit into almost all my smaller clothes but and im getting low on trousers that fit. They are all getting a bit baggy except for two pairs of jeans and a pair of work trousers. I’ll make do for now but don’t think it’ll be long till I need to get a few bits of new clothes. I think I’ll need to pop to real shops to try things on though as all shops seem to be different sizing. When I look on line I’m a 16 with the occasional 14 according to size charts. I’ll
also be small enough to venture into shops like Zara that I’ve not fitted in to before.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/09/2025 08:58

I was turning it to set the dose and it jammed, but I could see there was plenty in the pen. Obviously because I'm a savage criminal after all these months of golden doses, I tried to force it to keep going until I got the dose and the top half of the pen snapped into pieces.
I'm hench, yo.
@tostaky A syringe would have been a great idea, I don't have any. I think maybe I should get some just in case?

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/09/2025 08:59

This group is a bit of a ghost town at the minute, have most people reached goal and buggered off?

stripesdotsdashes · 24/09/2025 09:16

Im still regularly visiting! Im tapering but scared of the hunger cravings that im noticing. I stood in the Coop yesterday salivating over cinnamon buns, back in the mentality of "treating myself because I deserve it". Which is stupid, but I did walk away. Im stuck between the attitudes of needing to be strict, as im only just at goal weight,vs I should allow myself some treats every now and again.

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 24/09/2025 09:27

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I’m still here, but I also go on the over 30kg thread which seems to be more active. I guess you have a point that people may be leaving as they reach their target.

ElsieJay · 24/09/2025 09:30

Oooh, that’s a nuisance with your pen, @DidILeaveTheGasOn - fingers crossed the suppliers will replace it for you.
I’m still here, still buggering on - I have a stone and a half to go to my WW goal, so will re-assess when I get there.
Dithered this morning whether to opt for the 2.5 or 5 pen from the twin pack bought pre-price hike, chose the 2.5 as can’t see me losing 21lbs in eight weeks, much as I’d like to !
Think maybe the thread is a bit quieter now that we’ve mostly developed and refined what works for us, so less sharing of helpful hints and products etc. I still need the support it offers , so rest assured I won’t be MIA any time soon ….
@stripesdotsdashes - that “food as a reward” is ingrained behaviour for a lot of us.
Curse you, Lidl bakery, and your pastel de nata !

Apprenante · 24/09/2025 09:46

I'm still here! Struggling to reach overweight, lost just half a pound last week.
It's not because I'm eating more but maybe because I've been trying to delay injecting to 8 days. Back to 7 this week or even 6 as I'll be away for a couple of days.

NSV was buying a size 14 jumper - shout out to Bon Marché - and not buying a jumper in Primark because small was too big. Odd sizing there!

Big bag of clothes ready to be vinted but if they don't sell quickly the charity shop will get th

@stripesdotsdashes cinnamon is very tempting. I can recommend a sliced apple or pear sprinkled with cinnamon. It's not a bun though. 😏

HereIGoOnceMore · 24/09/2025 09:55

I’m still here - not much to say as progress remains glacial, but it’s still progress nonetheless.

Importantly, I’m so glad that I took the step to take Mounjaro. My health is better and my confidence has soared. This week I realised that not only am I enjoying clothes shopping for possibly the first time since my teens, but that I can also go out in public in jeans and a T-shirt and not look like a bag of spuds.

It’s been so good to hear about people’s wins, large and small and I’m sorry to those facing challenges right now.

Kbr22 · 24/09/2025 10:02

I’m still here! I normally only post once a week, but read everyday and I thought the same as you @DidILeaveTheGasOn I’m halfway to goal, lost only 1.7 stones after 19 jabs, though and finding it very frustrating at the moment. I am still in Spain and will be here another 5 weeks, but I am eating healthily but apart from golf and swimming not doing as much exercise as I did at home, so I don’t think this is helping. I wanted to keep losing whilst away as each year we roughly spend 12 weeks away and I have to be able to do this all the time!!! I still need all the support I can get, but am drinking more wine, so I need to try and knock this on the head!

SutekhsEars · 24/09/2025 14:02

Here Miss!
Yes I think it's all just more of the same now, but I do like to keep an eye on what everyone is up to, even if I don't always reply.
I'm finding it harder to lose now. So far I've been getting by just by not snacking and cutting out bread & pasta. I think I need to start calorie counting or reducing portion size, to see a proper loss each week.

Gingercar · 24/09/2025 15:16

I’m still here. Almost half way, so will be around for ages. I’m a bit scared I won’t have stock piled enough pens, with how slow it’s going. I may have to up the exercise.
I think a lot of people are finding it’s slowed down a bit and is perhaps feeling a little less exciting? Perhaps that’s why we’re not posting as much?

MyScaredCat · 24/09/2025 15:43

Im still lurking 👋🏻
I got an appointment for an ultrasound next week to investigate my pains. Very impressed with the speed.
i am still slowly losing. Now only 2lbs to go to target. Serious addiction to shopping now which has cost me a fortune

notgonnafail · 24/09/2025 16:41

Also still here. Had sister come and visit the house in France for the first time at the weekend, so last week was busy makingnit look as fabulous as possble and now am just shattered! Still stuck round 107kg whch is starting to drive me bonkers, but trying to up dose a bit a few weeks ago brought on SEs (though only upped by 0.25mg over the week) so decided to go back down again until sister had been. Will try again this week to up the dose and try and ride out amy SEs in the hope of giving the weightloss a bit of a kickstart.

As still have over 35kg to lose, I'll still be here a long, long time!!

ElsieJay · 24/09/2025 16:56

Good to see the old gang are still around , even though we may not be as chatty as we were at the start !
@BerfyTigot - how are you doing , seem to recall last time you posted you were debating whether or not to continue ?

Oysterblue · 24/09/2025 18:53

I’m still here. Intermittent poster but daily reader.

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/09/2025 18:56

Hey everyone, I'm also still here, but life (new work/illness/holiday) is just so busy at the moment

I also went on a 9 day all inclusive holiday and came back 4 lbs heavier, so wasn't much to celebrate.

I am now down 18.3kg/40lbs and I also have loads of mini targets upcoming in the next 4kg/8 lbs... including 3 stone loss, less than 50 lbs to target, getting under 200 lbs, getting under 14 stones, being 50% towards target, being under 90kg and most importantly moving from obese to overweight.

So I'm just plodding along at the moment waiting till I reach these so I can celebrate 😅

I will be around till at least March, still a long way to go :)

HKG · 24/09/2025 19:00

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/09/2025 08:59

This group is a bit of a ghost town at the minute, have most people reached goal and buggered off?

I’ve been here and thinking the same thing but I don’t have anything interesting to say! Only complaining that I’m not losing much but that’s dull.

Seahorsesplendour · 24/09/2025 20:27

also Still here!! It’s a tricky time isn’t it!! Definitely struggling with food choices as my body desperately wants to hibernate not helped by the horrid virus I’m fighting off!! Suppression is working great but actually persuading myself to eat anything healthy is hard work!!!

mostly I don’t want to moan constantly at you all so not posting as much!!

but will be here for a long time yet! I’ll be half way (ish) in about 6lb time and the loosing is much slower than it was!

maybe we need a weekend challenge to liven us all up like add up how much we’ve all lost between us or the total amount of inches of our waists 🤣 other suggestions welcome!!!

tostaky · 24/09/2025 20:45

Im reading every morning or evening. This morning i was 82.2kg…. I would love to go under the 80kg mark before i start my new job. Ive just started my periods and ive been so busy at work today all i ate was one apple. So theres a good chance i’ll lose a kilo or two very soon!!! Go me!

Now for a bit of gossip: i was walking down a corridor at work when someone super senior asked me if i had lost weight. I mumbled yes and then she asked me how did you do it? And i felt very intimidated so is said the injection. And then she nodded and said i did it through my diet only. I was speechless: 1. That was quite rude of her and 2. She hasnt lost any weight she has always been skinny.
maybe she spoke about a time Before i knew her? But then the jabs would not have been available
Just really rude and im crossed with myself for having said i’m on the jab. She is like a senior expert and im a trainee (in a different specialty) i shouldnt have let myself
be intimidated by her!!!
This weekend i went for a walk and my friend noticed and i said i was trying to get healthy and that was it.

SussexLass87 · 24/09/2025 21:22

Hi all...also still here but losses are very up and down for the last six weeks or so. Hard not to negatively compare yourself to others success (whilst still being very happy for others!)!
Enjoying reading everyone's news and things.

I'm currently sat watching the BBC Pride and Prejudice, wondering how it is 30 years since I sat watching it with my Mum every Sunday night.

Hope you're all having a good week x

DBatteryBand · 24/09/2025 21:23

I’m still here! 51lbs down, but still a long way to go. I read the thread every day to see how everyone is doing, but things have been frenetic at work and home, so I don’t often have time to post. I am still fighting the good fight with the biscuit tin.

FlorenceNightshade · 24/09/2025 21:24

Definitely still here and not planning on going anywhere! Been really busy but read everyday even if I don’t post often.

@tostaky that was very cheeky of her to say that I hate to hear of women treating each other like that! Also a whole day on one apple is so very far from ideal, I hope your “go me “ was sarcastic (hard to tell with just reading rather hearing your words!)

My weigh in day is tomorrow no idea if I’ll have made decent progress or not but will see in the morning!

@Seahorsesplendour a team challenge is a great idea!!!

I’m a chronic screenshotter so I’ve had a look through my camera reel for something that might spark a conversation or even just be useful to those (like me!) who read everything but don’t necessarily comment a lot.

I don’t like some of the language but the overall message is appropriate I think ✌️

I’m still here but also check out the Plodders threads cos I’m a one pound a week kinda gal. Really hoping that it’s not too long before I start maintaining soonish. Another month or two I think. I am starting to tire a little bit of the whole process. WeightLoss fatigue would be worse though without WLI’s I have to keep reminding myself!!

HKG · 24/09/2025 22:22

Also, just wanted to add that whilst I’m lurking, I still come on every day and still find motivation from hanging here with you guys so thank you! Im only half way too and slowed right down so will be here for the long haul.

totally up for a weekend challenge! Anything to keep me going.

this might be a silly question, but what do others find most helpful from this group (I.e What can I add to help people along)? I want to contribute positively!
