Hope you got sorted!

I did thank you!

How are you doing these days?

I've put on 7lbs which is horrifying me. If 5mg won't help I may need to go higher.....

GrimDamnFanjo · 08/03/2026 17:15

I’m checking in. I’m almost 2 years in and 95 pounds down now.
I do seem to be stuck at a bmi of 26 and have been for months now. I titrated down to 5mg after the pendemic.

at the moment I’ve upped my calories to 1500 and my protein to about 120g a day. Going to see what happens.

i have a question for the old gimmers on this thread - exercise - I’m walking for cardio and doing Pilates and weights to try and give myself the best chance for maintaining. I’m into my third month now.
What kind of results have you seen over a long time period?

im resigned to an ett at some point but im wondering if the weights and Pilates will do anything cosmetic at all eventually?

KrankyKumquat · 08/03/2026 20:40

@GrimDamnFanjo
I've been doing Reformer pilates once a week since September, plus resistance bands and weights at home twice a week and a gym weights/cardio session.

Muscle is really slow to grow but can definitely see the outline of muscles when i do a pose in front of the mirror! I'm 60 so not expecting miracles cosmetically but I think there has been a very small improvement in the wrinkly skin on my tummy and thighs, not enough to shout about but, when I measured this week, I'd gained a bit on my thighs, arms and abdomen which can only be muscle - presumably it's 'filling in' a bit. My arse is still very flat but getting less flabby.

If you're younger, you'll probably have better results than me. Everyone says you have to 'lift heavy' to gain muscle but I'm a bit more laid back and just happy to feel fitter, stronger and more flexible really.

Hello!

I am two stone down from where I started but still over 30 BMI 🙄I did have a long break from MJ and put weight back on.

I am on 2.5 at the minute. Had a very stressful Feb but maintained my weight. Would normally have put weight on.

Really focusing on exercise and the quality of my food this time round, so I feel great even if not yet slim 😁

I’ve just had an order agreed for 2 pens so hopefully they’ll be the 5 dose pens. I hadn’t ordered since September with them and it’s been relatively easy. Just had to send a photo yesterday and they’ve been posted today. They didn’t ask for evidence of my last prescription either.

Smallsalt · 10/03/2026 13:20

Aaaaargh
Got a pen from Med Market Place. Supposed to be on 24hour delivery.
It took 3 days from dispatch to arrive ( post office at fault). Packaging and pen completely at room temp.

I do not want to accept this as wont be using right away. And rules state that pharmacys must deliver meds to you at 2 to 8 degrees.
Also rules state that no part of the 30 days from coming out of the fridge should be used by the pharmacy.

They are pushing back, saying their special packaging makes it fine. Its a polybag and a melted ice pack😂.

I have accepted "warm" pens in the past and they were ineffective. Also, I have paid for a chilled medication , so I want a chilled medication delivered. At £250 a pop I want it delivered in optomal condition.

If they dont exchange ( which they promised last week they would) then I will have to go down the charge back route .

Choux · 10/03/2026 13:55

Just took delivery of a 12.5mg pen. Expiry date 04/27. I never normally open the box Immediately but this time I did to check it was still a 5 dose pen. It was.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 10/03/2026 19:52

@Choux I received my 2 pens today and the expiry date was before the pen they sent me in September which I found a bit odd.
September purchased pen was Jan 27
this weeks pens were Dec 26

ThirdStorm · 11/03/2026 12:13

I've done my second order with Ouskh, the first was painful with lots of extra evidence and back and forth questions, this time I've heard nothing and can see it has been approved! There is hope!

Who did you order from? Mine was from Pharmulous. I am wondering if your supplier has a lot of old stock and is a good place to get a 5 dose pen from in April!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 12/03/2026 14:34

@Choux i used simple online pharmacy. They were the ones that notified me about the new pens coming in from April so not sure what their stock of old pens are like.

They have sent me a referral code too so if you did want to order from them I could send you that as they’re not the cheapest. It’s for £40 each.

I’ve not used pharmulous before. I’m finding a lot of the cheaper providers put you into a monthly subscription so I’ve ended up back with simple online pharmacy because they’re quick and easy to deal with. And more importantly don’t ask a lot of questions 🫢

Choux · 12/03/2026 17:08

A 12.5mg pen is £314 with Simple (who according to this offer £40 off all first orders) but only £265 with Pharmulous so it’s still £9 more expensive even with the discount. Obviously a good deal if you get a 5 dose pen when everyone else is supplying 4 dose pens next month but there is no way to guarantee that.

and Pharmulous are not the absolute cheapest- I use them because they are not subscription and let you take a break and then restart. Hopefully you are getting discounts every month with Simple unless they are better priced for whatever dose you are on.

Choux · 12/03/2026 17:13

I have used Pharmulous since last September. I order every 5-6 weeks, they promptly send the pen. No issues at all.

Before them I used The Family Chemist - I liked them too as they were easy to deal with but they sold all their stock in the pendemic to anyone and everyone and then I couldn’t get my usual pen so I left them. I see they are a tiny bit cheaper than Pharmulous now so I would also recommend them to you.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 12/03/2026 18:21

I only order 5mg as I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices for the higher doses. I’ve ordered a couple of cheap 2.5mg pens recently from suppliers on the monj list but they tried to lock me into a subscription which I don’t want as I don’t order every month. Took a lot of contact to shake them off so wasn’t worth the hassle.

I get a regular discount from simple but that’s reduced recently and they’ve also put their prices up. I assumed I’d be done with MJ by now but I’m too scared to stop taking it for fear of putting more weight on. I’m only a few pounds heavier on 5mg than I was on 10mg so it’s been worth dropping down a couple of doses.

Don't want to doom and gloom, but just an FYI for those moving to wegovy, I am having to come off it. It's made me incredibly depressed and anxious.

Didn't feel this way on ozempic!

Since I started taking it I've been really low, unable to go to work for a week and a half, feeling so anxious, house is a mess because I have no motivation.

Im currently in Turkey and nearly didn't come because I've been feeling so awful and CBA packing.

Was on the plane in tears yesterday, and then realised that this started the EXACT week I went onto wegovy!

I really don't think it's a coincidence.

Hope you start to feel better soon. I felt very odd on Wegovy and couldn't keep going.

Update on Swift Doctor - so far they are living up to their name. I had my consultation 10 days ago (£30) and I placed an order for two 5mg pens today. As I had been advised, they asked me for ID and proof of previous prescription- no problem. But they also want video proof of BMI in a very specific way. (Show weight while standing on scale, show your face, back & side profile, all in one video) This was tricky as my phone won’t zoom out in selfie mode, so I ended up scanning around my body to show feet, side, face etc. They accepted this. The order placed around 9:30, video sent 10:30, approved around mid-day & I have had my first DPD notification. All being well, I should get it in a day or two, and I shouldn’t need to ever re-confirm ID, BMI, etc.
Price-wise, it’s pretty much the same as Oushk. ( They give you a one time discount that you re-use.) So far, so good!

Moanranger · 18/03/2026 13:29

Just to say my order arrived almost exactly 24 hours after placing via DHL. All cold. I think the on - going discounts may be less, but price would still be at the lower end of providers. Worth it for efficiency.

Just had such an annoying convo with an inlaw, who is unaware of the jab, but obviously very aware of my weightloss. Incidentally, I am 2 years in and was losing for a year before that so its not like its sudden .

Giving it...
people are worried about you,
people are shocked
are you ok,
you are too thin to be healthy.
This from 100kg man with diet induced diabetis and heart disease. Also his wife is utterly spherical and in higher level of obese .

Ok I am on the skinny side at BMI 18.5. But I am maintaining there for the last year not losing. Its the BMI I want as I am broad chested and shouldered and inclined to look boxy any heavier.
I feel a million dollars and look a million dollars ( in clothes!). I am fit as a flee. All manner of fat related ailments have vanished.

WHY do people default to "worrying" about the person who has managed to get slim? Why dont they worry about the obese people? Why is the obese person worrying about my skininess rather than their own obesity?

Even if I am "too thin"I am certainly not in fading away territory. My "too skinny" is very much healthier than his "too fat". His too fat will kill him before my too skinny kills me!
What the hell is this? I dont go about telling obese people that I am worried about them!

Has being over weight become so normalised that very slim is percieved as dangerous? I am no thinner than the slim people who were common in the 60s/70s.
So annoying!

KrankyKumquat · 25/03/2026 17:30

I've been at about bmi 19.5 for over a year now. As time's gone on, I've noticed more comments along the lines of 'don't lose any more...maybe gain a bit..' etc. It's like people have kept quiet for a while but now can't help themselves. Even my OH (who's never really had a weight problem) has started trying to sabotage by buying unhealthy food even though he knows my weight is stable and I don't intend to lose anymore. I've had to plead with him not to buy Easter eggs - Christmas chocolate is still sitting in the sideboard. It's infuriating. I'm a size 10 so definitely a 'normal' size and haven't been this fit and healthy for probably 30 years. I'm tempted to ask people to google the health conditions associated with obesity and compare to those associated with a healthy bmi.

It's definitely a weird attitude - like slim/thin is a very risky state to be in and fatter people are healthier. I'm guessing your in-law is well-aware of his own issues but deflecting by focusing on your slimness instead ('I'm ok, you're not ok' sort of thing, designed to protect himself from acknowledging that he and his wife have a serious problem which they need to address)

Smallsalt · 25/03/2026 18:03

@KrankyKumquat Its so infuriating. Also implying that "hordes" of people are spending their time discussing my "thiness". If they are, they need a slap!

I dont get it. Nobody goes around telling fat people they are worried about them .
Nobody says " Dont be putting on any more now"!!!!

I am a 4/ 6 bottom half as admittedly and bizzarely my arse has vanished in a way it never did when I was younger.
Top half is 8 often 10 because of my broad chest and shoulders.
Hardly Size zero!

Its like they WANT you to be fat😳

GrimDamnFanjo · 31/03/2026 18:07

I’m still stuck. And I’m really not looking forward to the smaller pens coming out. It’s not going to be sustainable financially for me if I can’t get through this plateau. I’m still restricted with my diet and I’m exercising but the progress is very slow!

Moanranger · 31/03/2026 19:31

@GrimDamnFanjo I have been sitting at 6lbs over goal for six weeks now, so I decided to go back to basics (I use Nutrachek) and weigh & log everything I eat. This is always eye-opening, & made me realise that I had been snacking too much. Based on their systems, I should get back to goal by mid-May.
This is what I did, plus MJ to lose the weight in the first place. For me, MJ’s role is to make it easier to eat a restricted but healthy diet, but I have to put the work in myself, the drug alone won’t do it. I hope you break through your plateau.

Yep I’m using nutracheck too and have started to look at what I might be missing in my diet - I can see that I don’t eat enough fibre.
perhaps it’s normal for those last pounds to be a slow loss?
im trying not to be too hard on my self as I’m -3 months in with my exercise now and that’s going to eventually help me control m6 weight, and I weigh less than I did when. I Got married!
