What pens did you order Kranky?

I'm wondering if the ecenomics are better microdosing from a larger pen.

Let us know how you get on with your order. I've not ordered since August!

Moanranger · 30/12/2025 14:01

I ate my annual one mince pie last night - big mistake, it really didn’t agree with me😱 MJ also reduces my alcohol intake due to after-effects

FlappyFish · 31/12/2025 22:50

Fine and dandy over here. The new boobs are looking fabulous and my gym routine is making me consider applying to Gladiators. 😂

I am eating more and my weight fluctuates as it always has a couple of pounds up and down. But I’m so much a gym nut now I can do it.

Other than cheese. I do just have a mouthful and think that’s enough. I had too much at Christmas and my tummy went, “nope!”

KrankyKumquat · 01/01/2026 08:36

@NextPrimeMinister
They're only 2.5mg pens as I was microdosing about 1.25. Both orders have now been approved for delivery next week (one ordered end Sept, the other end of Nov for the discounts but i kept pushing delivery dates back). So I'm very relieved. I said I was doing one month on, one month off at 2.5 to give myself enough time between orders, so that must have been deemed acceptable. Not sure this would have been approved with bigger pens though. Just need to actually get myself back to 1.25 now Christmas is over!

Moanranger · 01/01/2026 08:37

@FlappyFish oh, cheese! I have been mostly avoiding this, but I discovered a wonderful Gorgonzola, which I have been enjoying, but will now be off my shopping list.
Amazingly, my weight has been stable over the holidays, slightly under goal now.

ThirdStorm · 01/01/2026 10:17

I’ve felt a bit bottomless pit over the last few days and MJ definitely stopping me eating and drinking too much. I think underlying poor habits are still there sadly when temptation is around. Can’t believe I’ll have been on it 2 years in April! I’m dosing 3-3.5mg from a 5mg pen. I’ll have taken 8 doses from this pen.

KrankyKumquat · 01/01/2026 10:44

Yes, cheese is a terrible temptation. Good job it's at least got some protein in it so not completely wasted calories.

My conclusion after a year on maintenance is that it's very easy to gain weight but equally, so much easier to shift any gains quickly. I wasn't 100% convinced that a microdose would actually do very much biologically, and I certainly don't notice strong satiety or appetite suppression for about half the week, but it seems to be doing just enough in the background to keep things ticking over. Hope it continues.

Happy New Year all. Slightly strange going into a new year without a plan to finally lose some weight! Even last year I was still on my way down to goal. Although I did have a weird thing yesterday where I decided I still looked really huge and needed to lose another stone. While theoretically I could do that and still be a healthy BMI, I am not going to. I'm a size 10, I'm fine, I think a bit of Christmas bloating is not helping my body image.

Still, I went for a run this morning to start the year the way I want to continue. Hoping this year I might be able to bring my 5k time down under 30 minutes.

KrankyKumquat · 01/01/2026 13:06

@KeepUndercover
Yes, no new year resolution to lose weight, for the first time in probably 50 years. Isn't that amazing?

I feel the same re feeling huge after Christmas and blame carbs and alcohol. It will shift next week though (and size 10 is very definitely fine). I've just done my weights and bands session and already feel better.

Me and my partner were going to join a gym next week but the prices went up yesterday and we really can't afford it on top of my weekly pilates. We only want to do once a week and the day pass has doubled in price to £10 each. It's so disappointing but maybe we'll try couch to 5k instead - trouble is, he's already effortlessly fit and will leave me standing. I'd love to be a runner but very self conscious going out on my own. I have never got over a group of lads passing me in a car few years ago and laughing and jeering at me (think Inbetweeners 'bus wanker' sort of thing).

KeepUndercover · 01/01/2026 13:14

It's worth having a look for some social run clubs in your area @KrankyKumquat. Maybe a Run England one, you can search on their website I think. If you find a social one rather than an athletics club one it can give you a friendly group to head out with. I go to parkrun as well which gives others to run with. I started doing C25K there and just kept walking when I finished my intervals, now I run the whole thing.

Gyms putting their prices up in January sucks, I thought they were meant to offer discounts to get you on the hook for the year in the knowledge everyone will give up before February.

GrimDamnFanjo · 02/01/2026 14:06

I’ve comfort eaten my way through the last two weeks. I still have about another stone and a half to lose but have titrated back down to 5mg. I’m not panicking in the same way I would pre MJ. I’m just going to buckle under and get back to the normal diet in the new year.
im also going to take up a couple of strength training classes a week and einstate a long weekend walk. Alsombought a walkin* pad for my office for an end of day walk.
so to sum up, I know I’ve not eaten well but I’m not beating myself up about it.

Flapearedknave · 02/01/2026 14:27

I thought I'd put a stone on when I weighed the other day! Immediately injected (hadn't for a few weeks), next day scales were back at normal weight 🤦🏽‍♀️

It is great going into the new year without weight loss as a goal!

I have drank far too much over the last couple of weeks. Doing dry Jan.

Let us know how you get on with your order. I've not ordered since August!

I managed to get one from Hey Slim after a gap from August. I had proof of double ordering to avoid the price hike though.....ordered 4 in August.

I am microdosing, 12mg from a 15mg pen so I get 7 weeks, not the guide lines I know, but its the only way to afford it now .

Smallsalt · 02/01/2026 19:34

I started 2025 at 51kg.
Started 2026 at 49kg .

My aim over the year was to maintain, so largely thats what i have done even though i am eating a lot more.

Did an experiment last week. I have lost around 50kg .
I put 30kg of my husbands weights into a rucksack. I could barely stand up or walk😲. Couldnt have tackled stairs.

And thats just 30kg. I didnt even try 50kg as I literally wouldnt have been able to get off the seat!

I did actually lead my life 50kg heavier though. How? Just, HOW?

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 08/01/2026 18:36

I’m still going off the rails with the eating. Bloody dominos aren’t helping - how can I turn down a large pizza for £2.99? I’d have to be daft 😂

messed up my doses and took only 3mg just before Christmas but accidentally took 8mg instead of 5 at new year. Not much difference in how much I’m wanting bad stuff. I think I’ve just got used to eating more and it will be hard to pull it back.

KeepUndercover · 10/01/2026 12:37

Hope you can get back on track @PissedOffNeighbour22.

I'm staying the same at the moment but it's been tough over Christmas and into January. There's a lot going on at the moment and stress coupled with this cold weather just makes me want to eat! I actually haven't jabbed for a while because I finished a pen and I'm a bit torn between starting this new one or seeing how I do without. I'm so bored of injecting, isn't that a ridiculous attitude to have?

Thebaldprimadonna · 14/01/2026 18:57

Greetings, fellow pioneers! Lovely to see so many names I recognise and to read how well things are going.

I had a long, long break in 2025 and my weight zoomed back (still over a stone down from my start weight, however).
I am starting again this weekend on 2.5mg. I am going to do things differently this time and change my habits.
I have started using the Zoe app to judge me to eat better, have signed up for Zumba and my dumbells have been dusted off. I am hoping to be able to stay on a low dose and use MJ more as a support than complete hunger banished.

NextPrimeMinister · 14/01/2026 19:26

@Thebaldprimadonna. Hello twinnie! 👋

I wondered how you were getting on. Glad you are back.

You can do this!

Donewiththisshit · 15/01/2026 23:21

I was maintaining at 9.7 for a few months but now have gained almost a stone. I’m on 2.5mg every couple of weeks. Clearly not working for me.
I thought it would be easy to shift but nothing is happening….help!!!!

imnottoofussed · 16/01/2026 08:59

I’ve also gained a stone. I took my last jab on 28th Dec and have been pretty much no willpower ever since. I’d gained about half a stone prior to that but the rest has only been in two weeks.

KeepUndercover · 16/01/2026 09:14

Up your dose? If what you're taking isn't working I wouldn't waste money on continuing on such a low dose. I'd go back to weekly and then consider increasing if that doesn't help.

I really do think this is something most people will have to keep taking for life and it's not a failure to admit that. Loads of us will have experienced going all the right things and not seeing any results, the drugs help that. And loads of us will have experienced not being able to do all the right things because it's really bloody hard and the drugs also help with that.

ThirdStorm · 16/01/2026 11:55

I've ended up on a higher dose maintaining than I did to lose the weight! I was 2.5mg throughout but now a year in maintenance I'm taking 2.75-3.75mg depending on the week! I also gained over Christmas, habits/routine was my problem and I did overindulge but within a week I was back at goal weight so no damage done. I may need this for life, it keeps me in control which I like.

KrankyKumquat · 16/01/2026 14:41

Why have we become so hung up on maintaining on low doses (me included)? It's an approach with no scientific basis, and no long term evidence of efficacy as far as i know. We don't do this to ourselves if we need to take another couple of paracetamol when the first two don't touch our headache. Cost is obviously an issue but I'm working on the basis that as long as I can get 2 months out of any size pen, it'll be ok. I doubled my dose just before Christmas (from 1.25 to 2.5, using an old 5mg pen) and was intending to try and get back to 1.25 but now I'm inclined to stick and maybe order a 5mg next time. I can't be doing with spending lots of money and still be struggling.

imnottoofussed · 16/01/2026 17:05

I really can’t afford any for myself as I’m still paying for a family member who is on 15mg. Thankfully I had nearly reached goal when the price hike happened as I’ve not been able to afford a pen for myself since.

I need to shift this extra stone I’ve just gained though so I’m starting a stockpiled 15mg with a 2.5 dose this week to see what happens. If it doesn’t work I’ll increase doses until I’ve shifted this extra weight and then take stock. Hopefully my relative might have reached goal by then too or some other drug will have anrrived and we can discuss what maintenance might be like for them.

NextPrimeMinister · 16/01/2026 17:49

I'm resigned to staying on min 2.5 a week for life. Like others, the economics of eeking out a 7.5 pen make it less painful (I think, as I'm still on my pens bought before The Big Increase).

Maybe when I am 70 I wont mind and extra stone, but not accepting of that just yet!
