Hello to all the pioneers as I’ve seen is called on other threads! 😂

On we plod. I’ve now been in maintenance longer than actively losing.

KrankyKumquat · 27/08/2025 14:13

Whoop, whoop, once more unto the breach dear friends, one for all and all for one, keep calm and carry on, etc etc

And be grateful we were too early to be sucked in and totally shafted by Shemed.

DesparatePragmatist · 27/08/2025 14:15

@notsuchafattynow were you asking about reduction on the previous thread? I also went down 1mg a month, which I found very smooth and gave me time to work out whether I could handle the suppression lifting and still stay on my eating plan. Obviously that was without the new price pressure!

Thanks for the new thread. My first one starting in maintenance!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 27/08/2025 16:21

I’ve just ordered with Juniper as I saw a thread last night (and now can’t find it). I’ve asked for a 7.5mg but wishing I’d gone with a 10 and cancelled my original pharmacy order as I’ve heard nothing from them yet.

Wishing I’d taken photos front and side throughout this journey (plus scale photos) as it would have made it so easy to place multiple orders from various pharmacies 😄.

Still can’t decide whether to order various pens and then go it alone or whether to just try to get down to 2.5 or 5 and order with fairly large gaps between while I work through my small stash.

My holiday weight is starting to show now, always takes a few days to hit the scales. About a pound a day is creeping on. Took 4mths to lose 3lb gained earlier this year after my wedding and now it’s going back on already ☹️

I went with juniper too!

Funny as I was with them for ozempic 2 years ago and stopped as they became the most expensive. Now they are the cheapest. Especially with the codes everywhere.

Choux · 27/08/2025 16:44

Checking in. Got twitchy fingers on doing a Juniper order while it’s still old prices. Reading the last two posts hasn’t helped my will power. I have three full pens already and am trying to titrate down.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 27/08/2025 18:36

@Flapearedknave I’m hoping it’s easy to get out of the 30days subscription thing as I may not use them again but the thread I saw yesterday said they’d been allowed to order a second pen before the price increase. I don’t think I’ll have the time to do that before the cost goes up as I’ve only just signed up with them this evening. My 10mg from simple online pharmacy has been despatched so I’ll stick with the 7.5mg I asked for from Juniper.

Do they do regular discount codes then? I don’t know anything about them other than I remember people talking about getting free scales months back. The thread yesterday said they would prescribe down to bmi 22 so I put my real weight on there and then couldn’t go back to change it 😂. I’ve put a couple of pounds on overnight so wish I’d bumped the weight up a bit like I usually do.

NextPrimeMinister · 27/08/2025 18:49

Checking in on my original name (name fail change error last thread which took an age to fill!). Aka Notsuchafattynow.

I know they used to do lots of discounts. Not sure how often they do now

I'm hoping so

Just checking in on the new thread. Weird thought indeed that so many of us have been maintaining for months!

What happened with Shemed? Take it they aren't honouring the low price!

DesparatePragmatist · 27/08/2025 21:53

For anyone waiting on a MedExpress order, today I received an update on mine placed on Fri 23rd saying they're experiencing 7-10 day delays but the order is secured.

I have tried to go to juniper as well as I took was with them ages ago when Oz was unlicenced and then you couldn't get it any more .

Did it yesterday. All I have got is this

@Smallsalt
It's absolutely awful. They've been told they have to swap to Wegovy for the £159/£99 they currently pay or pay £299 for 2.5 up to £349 for the 15mg. Shocking, it was always a very dubious 'medical study' but don't think anyone expected they'd be so completely screwed over.

Oooooft
Although, I have been casting an eye at wegovy and that's not a bad price for it? I am surprised by how dear Wegovy is considering g that it's the "cheaper" get out of jail card.

KrankyKumquat · 27/08/2025 22:22

£99 isn't bad, £159 is steep. I think it's the change in contract and effectively being forced to swap by the stupid prices for MJ that's the issue. They were sold a 12month, fixed price subscription, for a superior product, that was the selling point, never mind the nonsense of a medical study where the prescription med is changed mid-way.

Omg that is awful, I know 4 people on shemed

Scalessayeek · 27/08/2025 22:53

Ooh my friend is with them- she doesn’t know that I’m on it 😆🫣 She’s not mentioned anything to me about the change so I’ll have to see if she’s had the email

KeepUndercover · 27/08/2025 23:36

That's some bollocks about being a study if they are happy to just switch people to WeGovy. What a bunch of charlatans.

KrankyKumquat · 27/08/2025 23:55

@KeepUndercover

Good point, well made😅
They're also prolific spammers (weirdly not on here for a while) and seem to mount the most ridiculous campaigns periodically on Reddit which most people see through instantly. Laughably amateurish, like a 15yr old is in charge of their comms. All in all, definitely a bunch of charlatans.

Wonkypictureframe · 28/08/2025 00:14

I wonder if there’s any regulatory body this could be mentioned to? If they really are doing a medical study they are presumably bound by ethical considerations and subject to rules - particularly if using it to generate income. I’d be interested to see their documentation.

Wonkypictureframe · 28/08/2025 00:48

Too late to edit but just wanted to clarify that I know they ARE regulated. My post was a bit tongue in cheek. Their website is extremely light on detail on their ‘clinical study’ though.
