@PissedOffNeighbour22 for the record I don’t think your selfish. I think you are putting your health first and that is a really good thing for everybody in your family. But I get you have other things you need to spend your money on so best to keep MJ costs as low as possible.

FlappyFish · 07/09/2025 11:58

It’s not selfish, it’s bloody tough. I have also found I can eat a lot more now but I don’t gain purely from exercise and having more muscle. That’s another head challenge really.

MJ does more for my mental health by stopping the constant shame and self-castigation around food. It’s never going to be perfect. I would love to reach food as fuel, but that’s miserable. Food is one of life’s pleasures. I just ate way too much of it.

Moanranger · 07/09/2025 12:41

@Choux Thanks for this. It didn’t pop up when I did a Google search. There is hope!

Smallsalt · 07/09/2025 19:31

So just on for a stealth boast. Actually, nothing stealthy about it, just a boast😂.

Was looking at jeans in Primark. 2XS ......... Totally drowned me. Infact, everything is way too way, certainly bottoms. Tops I can just about get away with as I have broad shoulders. But bottoms, in my arseless, stick legged state are a problem.
A nice problem to be fair😂.

Also, if anybody can suggest nice brown jeans to fit a bumless wonder, I would be very interested!

KrankyKumquat · 07/09/2025 20:03

No idea what a 2xs equates to but sounds very teenie tiny! Cider do jeans down to a size 4 and have a couple of pairs in brown - i really like the price and quality of their stuff if you can just get past the awful pictures. ASOS have quite a few too in various sizes, depending on brand and I'm sure they go as small as anywhere.

imnottoofussed · 07/09/2025 20:09

Bloody hell 2xs sounds tiny. I think one of my legs might be a 2xs 😂

at bmi 21 I’m a size 12. I don’t think I’ll get any smaller now as my supplier are only letting me have 5mg, I probably can’t afford any more pens anyway as I’m also paying for someone else who is on 15mg. I’ve got three pens in my stockpile so maybe I’ll double up my jabs to try and lose this last 7-10lb (went on hol for a week and gained 3lb)

Smallsalt · 07/09/2025 20:21

@KrankyKumquat Thank you, will have a look .

YouAreEffluentKim · 07/09/2025 22:27

Wow, 2XS is small! Con on your hard work.

I realised today that my thigh gap has gone 😫. Easy come, easy go I guess but I’m devastated about this 🤣. I knew I’d gained weight in my arse/thighs and have wondered whether it’s just my body sort of settling after the active weight loss. But yeah, turns out the difference between a thigh gap and no thigh gap is about 5 pounds 😬

KrankyKumquat · 08/09/2025 17:02

Well, I think that confirms it - no more 5th dose 😪

how do we know if we have the modified kwik pen?!

YouAreEffluentKim · 08/09/2025 19:06

Just saw this on a different thread. I guess we won’t know till we know, the fuckers. I suspect people will start reporting which batch numbers they come across with the reduced medication so the information will drip through.

I was also going to come in here to whinge about Oushk. Despite signing up to their emails, I didn’t get notification of their ‘flash sale £50 off every pen’ and I was fuming. Firstly because it tells me their opt in/opt out system is not working which is rubbish given their marketing strategy, and secondly because I STRONGLY disagree with the whole premise of doing flash sales of prescribed medication. Such poor practice and I thought the regulators were cracking down on this nonsense. But it turns out it was only about £4 off anyway, so I’m not too pissed off about missing out though I wonder how honest they were about the discount in the first place which surely would have caused a stampede (which I hear crashed the site).

Looks like I’m moving on from Oushk the next time I go to order and I will very happily tell them exactly why. I’ve been with them since last August and really valued their patient-led approach which seemed unique at the time, but fuck them too!

(Can you tell I’ve just started my period?! 🤣)

KrankyKumquat · 08/09/2025 19:23

Yeah I'm not bothering but happy for those on biggest doses who've been royally shafted by the price rises. It's all very unedifying. I'm off to SwiftDoctor as soon as I've used my stock up and gained 6lbs and got to bmi21.

Wonkypictureframe · 08/09/2025 19:39

I’ve never got Oushk’s emails. I must have opted out at some point but their whole system is a head fuck to be honest. I don’t understand their maintenance plans at all.

Flapearedknave · 08/09/2025 20:15

I get their annoying forum emails, despite ooting out, but not the newsletters or anything useful.

KrankyKumquat · 08/09/2025 20:37

@Wonkypictureframe
Yes, their plans are...overly engineered. It makes no difference if you're on taper or conti - you can still order a bigger or smaller dose if you want to. No one cares enough to ask, you can't book a maintenance consult within 3 months anyhow. And no one else charges £15 a month to not order a pen. It's bonkers. I'll be glad to get out of all their drama.

KeepUndercover · 08/09/2025 23:09

I just posted this on the wrong thread because I didn't double check after seeing familiar names so reposting here.

I think I might just come off completely. I'd like the back up of a pharmacy that would take me back again if I gain weight, some of the maintenance friendly ones do that right? I'm not sure Bolt do so I might have to order a pen from somewhere else and then stop.

KrankyKumquat · 09/09/2025 22:08

@KeepUndercover
I'm pretty sure SwiftDoctor and Pharmulous do if you've ordered from them, but double check first. I emailed SwiftDoctor about their minimum bmi and some other questions and they answered, in full, within a couple of days. Pharmulous haven't responded yet in over a week which is surprising given their reputation but maybe just bad timing.

KeepUndercover · 10/09/2025 07:30

Thanks @KrankyKumquat. I'm going to check with Bolt as I might as well, then I was thinking of SwiftDoctor. If I can do an order with them that could be my last pen maybe and I'll see what happens.

KeepUndercover · 10/09/2025 19:47

Bolt have said they will only represcribe if it's been less than 6 months if I come off completely. Other than that they are happy to keep prescribing a maintenance dose. 6 months does feel quite short so I shall have to think about this. These price rises are so annoying!

Smallsalt · 22/09/2025 12:50

Awfully quiet on here!

Just updating on my post price rise activity's.

I can't go it alone. And that's final!

I bought WG from Chequp as they were pretty cheap. I assumed I would be on lowest dose and ordered that but they suggested putting me on highest dose so fine........I did actually take Ozempic before MJ appeared on the market and did ok with it.

Thanks to my stock piling I have a good few months of MJ left so will stay on that for now.

Meanwhile you seem to be able to leave reordering WG for 8weeks, so I will order every 8 weeks.
I know stock piling is bad and I could probably just order WG when my MJ is finished but you just don't know do you.?
Given what's happened I am very glad of my stock pile..........not panic buying at the end there incidentally, just gradual over buying over a few months whenever I saw a cheap deal on.

KrankyKumquat · 22/09/2025 13:52

@Smallsalt
Yes it is quiet!
I've got a stockpile too as i ordered 3x2.5 pens from Oushk prior to the price rises and already had a 5mg which needs to be used by beginning of next year. I'm only on 1.25mg now so that's several months worth. I'm planning on moving to SwiftDoctor, and possibly swapping to Wegovy, as soon as everything's used up, but may have to order one more pen from Oushk first to 'tidy' things up for SwiftDoctor. It's all a bit complicated but probably easier to manage on a small sized pen as I can always say I've had a few weeks off and want to restart i guess.
Very low doses seem to be working well for maintenance, I still have to work at not losing more weight and have plenty of appetite suppression and satiety. I really can't believe it, but am hearing more and more people describing having to reduce dose to stop losing even with increased calories. I'm now 11 months on maintenance and weigh over 1.5 stone and 3 bmi points less than i did then!

Smallsalt · 22/09/2025 14:24

@KrankyKumquat
That's brilliant though........I would love to be one who struggles to gain or maintain. I fear I would balloon immediately.

I have dropped my dose to 12.5mg to eke the MJ out a little bit further and I defo feel more hungry😳
I am eating more but not drastically more and I am keeping at the hard exercise.

I haven't weighed as per my previous bad habit, I avoid scales when I perceive myself to have been "bad". I really need to break that.

I don't think I have actually put very much or anything on as my teensy weensy new clothes all still fit fine. But I dont want to see I higher number on the scales and spiral.......
I really do have to keep weighing and get a less destructive relationship with them. And that I think is daily weighing and learning to shrug at the occasional gain and deal with it rather than crash off the wagon as a failure🥺.

KrankyKumquat · 22/09/2025 14:40

@Smallsalt
Yes I'm very lucky. The difference between people is fascinating though and I'd love to know why. I've wondered if I'm reacting like this because I have an undiagnosed metabolic condition which just a small dose is correcting or maybe, I have no metabolic conditions so a little bit is going a long way 🤷‍♀️. I've never noticed being overly sensitive to any other medications though. And i went up to 10mg to lose the weight in the first place, although felt the impact in 1st 24hrs, lost every week, never had a plateau, and had negligible SEs.

I've noticed big effects from carbs - i eat a sandwich at lunchtime and still not hungry at tea time. So tend to avoid them and can't tolerate fatty foods at all - all this is new, I never used to react like this before losing weight so the MJ is still doing quite a number on my digestion.

@KrankyKumquat Long may it continue!
I think Flappyfish concluded that it does a lot of lifting in the back ground too.

Maybe I will shock myself and have lost when I finally persuade myself to weigh again!

Flapearedknave · 22/09/2025 15:40

Hello! Nice to see some chat on here.

I am on my last MJ 15 and I'm taking 10 from it. So will last 6 weeks (I think maths is not my strong point)

I am still losing minutely. Have lost 3lb in 2 months. Got down to 10 stone exactly. And although I said I wouldn't, I really want to see that 9 now 🤦🏼‍♀️

Was diagnosed with ADHD last week. Going to sort out my MS meds first then look at ADHD meds. My uni has allowed me to intermit for a year for the last year of my master's, so hopefully will have it all sorted this time next year.

It's been a hell of a year over here!
