I took mine late last night, straight before bed. I decided to take it early in the week, so that it may have worn off a bit by the weekend, and I can relax slightly. I was so nervous! Worrying about an allergic reaction, side effects. We'll, I'm still here this morning! I slept badly as I was so excited/anxious. I woke up about 3am, feeling very nauseous (the nausea even came into my dreams), and my heart sunk that I'd be one of the unlucky few who'd be very sick on it. However, I took a Rennie, and it seemed to help. This morning, I feel quite good. Very slight nausea, but barely anything.
Normally I do intermittent fasting, and don't eat til lunch, but based on advice from my provider, and from mumsnet, I'm going to aim for 3 small meals a day now. Apparently that is best for steady progress, and to combat nausea. So I've made myself a small bowl of porridge, with half a banana, and a sprinkling of walnuts, for protein.
@MoreIcedLattePlease I'm sure you'll tell your dh when the time is right. It's good to have the support at home. I told my dh before I started, and it's good to have someone who I can talk to in real life. He helped me inject last night, as I needed the moral support. Not about the needle as I have no problem with that, but just general nerves. The needle was tiny and barely felt it, by the way
Good luck everyone! I feel good to have taken the first step! My bmi is 32, and I'd like to lose about 3 stone. But I'd be delighted with any progress at this point! I'm going to weigh myself once a week.
