Morning, weigh in day for me. I had a nice loss this week and currently weight 76.7 kilos. Start weight was 104 kilos. I'm sure I lost nearly 2 kilos but I'm not keeping much track lately. I started with a load of digestive problems these past few weeks. I have a Drs appointment set up and been referred for a scan. It feels like Gallstones are back. Only I could get gallstones without even having a gallbladder anymore. I just hope they don't tell me to stop the injections apart from having 3 brand new ones still in the fridge. It's the only thing that I've ever been able to stick too. I still want to lose another 16 kilos. Plus if it is gallstones again I will still get them however I lose weight.

Puddingpiper · 23/10/2025 15:47

@museumum have you calculated your TDEE recently. Mine for fat loss was nearly 400kcal lower than when I started. I had to track is pretty closely for a few weeks until I reset what I was able to eat in calories. I did recently stall for over 2.5 weeks but since Monday have lost nearly 4lbs

museumum · 23/10/2025 16:30

Thanks for the reminder @Puddingpiper . I suspect what's happened is I've dropped down to where my calories for loss would be less than 1200 (I'm only 5'2") and so I need to up my exercise level.

TheBossOfMe · 23/10/2025 17:57

@Puddingpiperhas probably got that right @museumum- I had to recalculate 3 times and every time I did it, I started to drop again even after a stall or very slow losses. It’s a combination of that, set weights where your body is trying to hold onto a previous weight and TOTM I think. My TDEE is depressingly low so like you I had to up exercise in order to create a decent calories deficit.

I now understand why so many older women eat like birds.

TheBossOfMe · 23/10/2025 17:57

Edit for double post!

Puddingpiper · 23/10/2025 19:45

@TheBossOfMe@museumum getting close to target means there is very little wriggle room on food options. Happily I have never been a breakfast person so intermittent fasting is easy for me, so I start eating at around 1pm. I will say all this you see about no one needing to eat 1200kcal business is nonsense, my cutting TDEE at 180cm and 80kg is just over 1300 and I could still drop another 20kg and be considered a healthy weight (just). I think I would look skeletal at 60kg.

Tantastic12 · 23/10/2025 20:20

@museumumI’m also 5ft 2 and have lost 2 stone 2lbs since middle of March so also feel my journey has been very slow. Due to price increase I’m on my last pen now and have been tapering down. Was hoping for another half stone over the next few months so going to try intermittent fasting alongside all the good habits I’ve hopefully learnt! That will bring me to 10 stone 4lbs but just checked and BMI would still be 26! So now thinking I need to go a bit lower… Do you mind sharing your goal weight?

museumum · 23/10/2025 22:01

@Tantastic12 id actually be quite happy at bmi 26 or even 27 and have been before. I’m quite muscular - unfortunately more like a rugby front row than a gym bunny - and lift weights. I’m also 50 next year so kern not to lose muscle. I’d rather be a bit heavy than kill myself aiming for a lighter weight or hate myself for those extra 5kg.

Ingangoolie · 25/10/2025 10:25

Hi all, wearing a 2 piece swimsuit for first time since 1996. Not what I call a bikini as bottoms are granny pants. And I’m easily old enough to be a granny. Anyway, feels good.

@Ingangoolie yay,enjoy your hols, looking fab! ⛱️,
This week : boring, hungry, cold, wet, (dog, walks) and don't know if I've even injected this week as I'm taking a small dose out of a 7.5 and got interrupted, by my husband who doesn't know I'm taking it, so I jabbed it in without priming, don't know how many clicks I did, pushed the plunger and flung the pen in the back of the wardrobe 😂ffs. I am now 8.2 and will definitely stop at 8, but am so entrenched in how I eat now will find it difficult. I have actually eaten some extra little things this week, some chocolate almonds, and a few chips each main meal, but have still lost.

TheBossOfMe · 25/10/2025 12:41

Looking good @Ingangoolie I'm packing for my holiday tomorrow and bikinis are in the bag as well! Can't wait for some warm sun on my skin.

@Fairfaxandflavor Oddly I had to up calories quite a bit to slow the weight loss down once I reached goal - more than I thought I would, and then had to reduce again. No idea how that works.

Outsidebeanshop · 25/10/2025 17:25

I’ve moved down from 7.5mg to 5mg and now about to pick up my 2.5mg. I feel like I need to come off mainly because of hair loss and also I have health anxiety so constantly worried about what’s going to come out about this in future years. But equally I’m so anxious about putting all the weight on. I also generally feel really low, like more down than I’ve felt in years, could this be the change in coming off MJ? Has anybody else found this? I noticed when I went on MJ that my mood improved and I guess now I’m noticing the opposite.

Fairfaxandflavor · 25/10/2025 17:59

@TheBossOfMe thanks,I'll bear that in mind.
@Outsidebeanshop I feel a bit down too, I think it's thats the goal achieved now and coming off mj, I like the routine of it, and the little euphoric dopamine hits seeing the scales go down, I honestly didn't think I'd even lose 2 stone never mind 4. 5 so now that's done I'm like what's next? Buying clothes is even tinged with a bit of what if I put it back on? I bought some comically tiny size 8 leggings today, in next ha ha, wish we were going on a loverly sunny holiday too, I'd be buying alllll the bikinis 😂

RuthEvershedforPM · 25/10/2025 20:30

Hello all - sorry for radio silence. A bit flat as I have been stuck for ages with only 1.3 kilos to go. Had to buy clothes last week - jeans without an arse to fill them 😂

I hear you and feel you and in a very similar mindset. I’m abruptly stopping MJ with on only tiltering down with 2 doses and I’m petrified of weight gain and future impacts. It’s mentally tough!

this week I have barely eaten , I’ve not been hungry but also going up from 12.5 after so many weeks to 14 knowing it was my last high dose, combined with DH coming home and battling a cold and wanting to push to the last drop . Not very good for health but that’s where my mind is , if I don’t eat I won’t gain . Body dysmorphia for sure as I still feel like as fat as I was!

lost 1.3 kg this week 2.8 lb . All I want is to maintain this over the winter so that I can come back to MJ in the spring to battle the last 2st

going down to 7 mg on Monday and then 2 mg the following week (only have 2 needles left and roughly about 45 clicks including priming of my 15mg pen)

I lost 27kg / 59lb since March on MJ, 34 kg/ 75 lb since new year .

I’ve lost 25% body weight on MJ / 28% total (that’s crazy that more than a quarter of me is gone)

bmi gone from close to 40 (37 when starting MJ) to 28 .

Start weight 1/1/2025 122kg / 19.2 st, MJ starting 15/3/2025 115 kg/ 18.1 st . Final weight (for now) 88.0 kg /13.8 st (today is 7 days since last jab).

You have done amazingly!!! I have only really dipped in and out of this thread but I think it would be nice to continue supporting each other as we leave Mj behind! I feel like I need to be really mindful now and a support group would be more essential than ever! X

Fatmumslim01 · 25/10/2025 22:13

Hi all I haven't posted for a while.
Still plodding on here, just gone up to 10mg as 7.5mg was like injecting water and on the whole pen I only lost 3 pounds.

I haven't weighed for a few weeks actually as I only weigh in boots store as my official weigh in but I have been doing unofficial weighs at home and the scales are still going down.

Last time I officially weighed I was 11-10 so very close to 3 stone loss since march!

Still another 2-3 stone to go!

I'd love to hear everyone's plans for coming off MJ or titrating down etc I know a few of us are at goal now and although it's a long way off for me I would still like to hear how everyone is getting on!

Outsidebeanshop · 26/10/2025 00:43

Somethings just occurred to me tonight, which is I’m sort of teetering around my goal weight of 10st 5, which takes me JUST into the healthy BMI bracket at 24.9! I have brought that down from a BMI of 30+ but if I stop Mj nobody will prescribe me will they, so I wonder if I should increase from 2.5mg back to to 5mg for a while (if I have any hair left!) to try and lose more weight to give me a bit of a cushion if I put more on, is this good logic, or crazy 🤪

Ingangoolie · 26/10/2025 07:23

@Outsidebeanshop talk to your prescriber, mine is offering a kind of subscription if you do stop where you pay £15 a month I think and can then restart if you wanted without the whole BMI 30+ thing

soupforbrains · 26/10/2025 11:31

Happy extra hour of sleep day everyone. I hope you’re all feeling good on it.

weigh in day was yesterday for me and another 1lb off.

SW:20st
CW:15st8
GW: 11st7 (at first)
total loss: 4st6lb
Loss this month so far 7lb

I’m currently doing 8mg a week on a split dose. But im considering increasing a little. I’m happy with the weight loss ticking along even if some weeks it’s only 1lb. But I’ve been eating more rhe last few weeks. Not sure about it though as I don’t think I’m feeling more hungry and I’m still feeling full quickly. It’s just that the cold weather makes my brain just want to eat and stockpile fat on my peasant body to ensure I can survive the harsh winter in my mud hut. So I’m not sure that MJ will actually have an impact on that. 🤣🤦‍♀️

Puddingpiper · 26/10/2025 12:13

Random NSV - I no longer need a bath sheet, a simple bath towel is more than large enough now. Scale victory this morning is that 30kg have now gone!

Fairfaxandflavor · 26/10/2025 12:42

@soupforbrains ,winter food craving is definitely a thing 😂, I did a lovely braised beef joint yesterday in loads of onion gravy was absolutely lush. Carbs will be harder to resist I think as winter progresses.

soupforbrains · 26/10/2025 22:42

@Fairfaxandflavoryeah… not sure if it counts as winter food but I had a McMuffin for brunch today… super nutritious obviously. 🙄 🤣

I’m going to stockpile/batch make up a ton of soup so that I can appease the ‘put something warm and tasty inside me’ cravings without just eating any old crap.

Fairfaxandflavor · 26/10/2025 23:19

@soupforbrains I think batch cooking soup sounds good, I never liked maccies before mj lol😂 so that doesn't lure me, roast potatoes, mash, and crisps however.....

@Puddingpiper I have noticed similar with towels there always used to be a gap up to about my knee. Now the same towels close properly. I also had to get a new dressing gown as mine was wrapping round me too far if that makes sense and it was also too long, Ive noticed this with a lot of dresses and tops that they are suddenly too long as my stomach is flatter so they aren't getting pulled up as much! Tried on a jumper yesterday I hadn't worn in a year and it used to be a normal jumper length and now it could almost be a dress !

Bit of an emotional day yesterday, I hit my mini goal of 11-7, albeit on my home scales so not an "official" weigh but I'll take it! So that's my mini goal as that was my pre COVID weight which is a bit emotional, 5 years of weight gone in 7 months! 3 stone / 42 pound seems a lot! I think it's 20% of my original weight 😱

Height 5 foot
SW 14-7
CW 11-7
GW was 11-7 as mini goal now met!
New GW 9-7.
