Where is everyone buying MJ now? I have always been medexpress and 7.5mg most of the journey. I haven’t jabbed for three weeks- thought I could wing it but old behaviours are rife!!
so am going to find cheapest way to keep going

Ingangoolie · 13/10/2025 11:19

@Bipaloss sorry about your FIL, glad your DH got to be there

northernlight20 · 13/10/2025 12:38

Hi everyone, nsv today. Went shopping this morning after a gym session where everyone was telling me how small I looked. Bought 2 size 14s and a size 12 from tescos and they all fit. The 12s is a little snug but fits and zips up, just can’t believe it. Can’t wait to weigh in on wed.

Puddingpiper · 13/10/2025 12:40

@Bipalossit sounds like you have had a torrid time, sorry to hear about your FIL.

@Spondooliei get my from My London pharmacy and have since day 1 as they price match or near as possible price match which saves faffing. I did get an extra pen from Numan but they are very expensive after first pen.

@northernlight20sounds like a 5 ⭐️ Monday to me

TheBossOfMe · 13/10/2025 12:42

@Spondoolie - you might find it easier to slowly titrate down rather than go cold turkey. I found it better because it meant my mind could slowly adjust to the creep back in of old sensations, and I could slowly learn to apply small amounts of willpower.

Weigh day today. I went away for the weekend and in spite of a lot of walking, there was also a lot of eating, 3 meals a day plus afternoon teas and a lot of wine, so broke my usual IF routine. Gained a couple of pounds over the weekend, but still sitting at goal. 4 months since hitting it, 4 weeks since my last jab. Now that I'm back home, IF comes back into play and that should hold me steady, possibly drop a tiny bit back down again to give me a safety net before my half term holiday away with DD.

Hi everyone I’m getting life insurance for the first time. They asked what prescription medicine I have taken In the last 5 years, I said none 🙈 but it’s because NOT A SINGLE SOLE, except you guys ha know that I’m on it. The thing is I’m titrating off now so won’t be on for much longer, but what would you do? Should I correct it? My husband was in the house and I just couldn’t bring myself to admit it out loud even to a stranger sorting my life insurance!!

Puddingpiper · 13/10/2025 14:55

@Outsidebeanshopim a financial adviser yes you must declare it. In case of a claim it will show on your medical records. You have been on it for over 6 months so they should not defer cover. It would be intro know what/if they change any loadings as this is a whole new area of underwriting

Fuelledbylatte · 13/10/2025 14:58

Checking in

I've been at GW since August - sitting between 10st 3 and 10st 5.

Recently I’ve been going 8-10 days between 5mg and this feels sustainable for maintenance for now.

Well done to all Marchers- it’s been brilliant to be on the group - been cheering everyone on !!

Thanks for that insight - I guess there’s nothing I can do about it now anyway because if they look back 5 years it’ll be a long time before I can say “no” to that.

Puddingpiper · 13/10/2025 15:21

@Outsidebeanshopcorrect it will be a yes for the next 5 years. The underwriting across different providers is apparently inconsistent as they do not have the historical data on it yet so some are more risk averse than others.

Yellowsubmarine55 · 14/10/2025 07:33

Checking in as I've been missing in action for a couple of weeks, mainly because I'm fed up.

Hit a brick wall and had my first maintain this week and a 0.4lb loss last week. Sigh.

4 stone down though, whoop whoop but very disappointed as this is the first time in 6 months this has happened.

I can't drop my calories any more as my TDEE-500 is only just under 1300 so I'm having to increase movement I think and get my now very skinny arse in gear 😅😅.

Moan over!

Imissgoldengrahams · 14/10/2025 09:14

Nearly three weeks without mj!
I am STARVING
But I have maintained at 63kg
Not sure if that's good or not

MJ122025 · 14/10/2025 09:23

@BipalossI'm sorry for your loss x

Paulahoust · 14/10/2025 09:46

Hi all when is the longest you have used a pen after the 30 days? I have a dose of about 4. Something left in a pen which will be 42 days on Saturday when I am due to jab, don't know if that's a bit to long and would be a very weak dose what do you guys think? X

I went 32 days on my first 7.5 pen and currently stretching my 15mg pen to about 40-45 days. It dosnt loose its power but there is an increased risk of bacteria when using a pen longer. Majority on here have been using golden dose which takes you to 35 days and none have had any issues doing the golden one. Just make sure it’s kept in fridge.

Fairfaxandflavor · 14/10/2025 10:47

Ive used 10 pens for 10 weeks, it was fine, you can actually do your 5 doses in 28 days because you don't start counting till the pen is open, so your second dose is 7,3rd 14,4th 21,fifth 28 etc. I didn't have any problems with anything apart from splitting the last dose as it was tricky using a syringe for half of it. I was scrupulous with alcohol wipes on the pen and kept it in the fridge, obviously it is a risk, but that's my experience.

Puddingpiper · 14/10/2025 11:03

I’ve been doing 3.75 out of a 5 pen and using all of it for about 4 months which means the pen is open for about 6 weeks. I’m personally happy with that pen is kept in the fridge and liquid is always clear.

Paulahoust · 14/10/2025 11:07

Brilliant thank you all x

Yes, I’m doing the same. Have left it 12 days since my last jab, but really felt like I needed it today.

I’m especially worried about the inflammation returning 😢

and this morning, I woke up and thought fat me had returned. A weekend away with pizza and take away and feeling bloated. Doesn’t take much to trigger it back.
Logically I know I just need to up the water and be sensible, but who is logical these days!!

I don’t really know how I will wean myself off psychologically actually. I’ve got three pens left, and then plan to stop and keep on the oushk maintenance plan if needed.

I know I have 2 x 7.5 pens and take 6mg a week, I am panicking that they will last me until January then I won't be able to order another but don't at the moment want to buy a 7.5 pen for £250!! I will be happy to switch to Wegovy for maintenance from January but thinking do I need to buy it now! So much to think about ha ha x

Outsidebeanshop · 14/10/2025 14:13

has Anybody used a pen which they didn’t keep in the fridge first before opening? Mine was out of the fridge for a week I think it was before opening.

Bipaloss · 14/10/2025 20:28

Thank you all for you kind words, it’s odd how I feel so connected to strangers on this group 😅

luckily I work mainly from home so managed to get back to work yesterday and it’s helping. Think it helps kids as well with some routine.

got a house fly the day FIL passed and me and DS1 keeps checking on the fly , put water for “him” etc but this fly keeps following us, the other night he sat on my should for 1 hour unbothered . Or may be we just going crazy 🤪

DH is coming back home on Monday , think that’s going to be harder, for him especially all house early evening calls with his dad not going to be there, leaving his childhood home etc.

might not be the right time to stop MJ but it’s the right thing to do. Gonna start going more to the gym once DH has settled gone back to work etc

did 12.5 mg on Saturday after 8 days. This is my plan

14 mg on Saturday (coming)
7mg Monday (9 days after)
2.5-3mg Wednesday (9 days after that)

really stretching my pen long ,46 days but it’s been in fridge the whole time and will make sure colour etc is ok when doing the last couple

will then aim to continue my current eating habits , main meal being lunch and up gym going and keep drinking water . If I can maintain over the winter months and then maybe restart again in the spring I would be happy with that if I don’t manage to loose on my own (I know I don’t sound confident but my main goal will be to maintain considering how hard it is to loose without MJ and I am my lowest weight since before DS1) 🤞🏻

I got my last 7.5 pen from Pharmulous for £215 if that helps? No need for discount codes. I assume they would take lower bmi customers with proof of prescription etc.

Puddingpiper · 14/10/2025 21:06

@Paulahousthave a look on monj.co.uk I can see some pharmacies have 7.5 for £193 or 5mg for £143 if that helps
